Number of points, as of today, that is separating mousesports and astralis. The european combined keeps rising, while the later is on a decadence. Will they be #1 after katowice? Will they lose their spot next week to reclaim it at the start of march? Or will it take them some effort to do so? /discuss

Wtf u saying about?
2020-02-18 22:36
difference between astralis and mouz in rankings is just 26 points.
2020-02-18 22:38
I love mouz but they are not a top 3 team

eye test or results? results say they're up there. the question is, who would you put as the top 3 if not mouz as one of them? 1. Astralis (I agree) 2. ? 3. ?

mousesports have been farming t3 events for a while now cs summit? csgo asia? ice challenge? those are not big events, and none of the best teams went to those events except MAYBE eg at csgo asia but eg was slumping

Yes, but what about epicenter and EPL s10? Tournaments where they've beaten astralis, EG, fnatic and many more teams from the top 20. Your t1 and t2 team list must be short bro. Asia championships had EG, the then #2 team in the world. Doesn't seem like a t3 event. Would agree to upper t2\lower t1. definitely not a dreamhack open or anything. Ice challenge would have literally been an upset if mouz lose to literally ANYONE, which does kinda proves how they are indeed better and rightfully ranked higher than all the other teams in attendance.

csgo asia eg were slumping proven by their bomb out at iem shanghai epl s10 clear fluke over astralis thats not even hating did u watch the match? but ill give them credit for that event so if they repeat their success at a similar caliber event ill say they deserve the top 1 epicenter who the fuck did they face that t1? eg? lmao stop it eg was on the downfall by then i never said mouz wasnt a t1 team i said the majority of the events they won werent t1 events

They jumped from #12 to #2 in a month. Yet to see if they able to maintain good form in long term.

what? how is that? they reached finals in their last 5 tournaments winning 4 of them. 2 of them were tier 1 events and other 3 were tier 2 tournaments.

Online, in OT, without any info on the other team whatsoever. Are you arguing its more significant than sweeping the best team of all time on LAN, while they were ranked #1?

During the Astralis era they lost 16-14 to LDLC online, a team that Vit.Alex played for alongside Amanek, devoduvek, logan and to1nou. Look it up, homie. Online matches are not as big as idiots on HLTV make them seem. LAN matches actually are.
2020-02-19 10:56
But didn't they win the bo3 either way? I know that it isn't as important as lan matches, but losing to a no name team after you won against Vit and Astralis... It is kinda bad tbh

Its wasn't a BO3 I believe, just 2 B01s. Whatever dude, still online. If you think online is a better way to tell who's the better team, and that it actually counts, then XANTARES is hands down the best player in the world and SS are the best team in history.
2020-02-19 12:49
I'm not saying that. But giving that Complexity is 80% aim and 20% tactics, they should have won it.
2020-02-20 11:37
they will be #1 next week because astralis will lose points

Most likely yes, the relevance of their good results from early 2019 will go down so mouz could possibly get the first spot. We'll see on Monday.
2020-02-18 22:46
they arent really relevant anymore

Aren't, but could make the difference of 26 points.
2020-02-18 22:55
no. LAN achievements are like 500 points and year ago happened have under 1% relevancy. Its just all events in general but mostly from mid-late last year

They don't have under 1% relevancy tho? Really don't know what you're on about. Regardless, Astralis is losing 26 points, no matter what.
2020-02-18 23:00
hltv.org/ranking/teams/2020/february/17/.. they do but they will still drop over 26 points

No they don't, you probably have a special understanding of early 2019.

Even if you make this point still all the events in your "early 2019" don't have the relevance of under a percent. /closed

HLTV points LUL. Nothing will change, just couple of weeks in top-1 and after Astralis will back in their form.

If you choose hltv ranking of course, mouseports passed astralis on esl ranking already and on gosugamers is by 2 points, so yes, mousesports will pass astralis on hltv too

This will definitely be determined after Katowice. I’d say the top spot is between Astralis, fnatic and mouse. FaZe and G2 are good to look at. It’s been a while since fnatic played so I’m looking forward to that.
