make kids work for free
SolEk |
United Kingdom Nik0l4yy
I think kids (12-15) should have compulsory work, organised by local councils. During weekends or holidays. It can be cleaning, working on farms, retail, or any other jobs that local business may need. Kids will get important work experience that will help them later on. But most importantly it will increase the economic output of the country (GDP), since more goods and services will be provided. The government will also be able to reduce spending since they have free labour, meaning they can allocate more money towards infrastructure projects, education, and healthcare. This boost the economic output even more. As a result the whole country becomes more productive and wealth! I have such great ideas tbh, I think I should go into politics!

its just an unpopular idea, people can't be bothered to actually think about what I'm saying
2020-02-19 02:50
You're obviously retarded "Everyone chooses where they want to work" so what will happen is 90% of people will want a certain job and everything else won't get done. Then because there aren't enough jobs in that certain sector, the other kids get forced into other jobs because it's compulsory like you've stated and you've got a bunch of unhappy people who've been treated unfairly. Hopefully, those 12-15 year olds then go murder you because you've got the shittest ideas in the world.
2020-03-03 04:14
Men I’m just sharing my idea. Of course there will be regulations and rules that I haven’t thought of or talked about. For example if a certain job lacks workers in local area and students don’t want it, they may be incentivised by benefits such as reduced hours, free school trips etc.
2020-03-03 04:23
Free school trips? Who is gonna pay for that, I thought this was supposed to save money? This is a very poorly thought out idea, you're most likely baiting.
2020-03-03 04:29
School trips don’t cost much. £10-50 for a decent amount of manual labour is ok I hate hltv for thinking that every unpopular opinion is definitely a bait, you’re so narrow minded
2020-03-03 04:32
No I think it's a bait because it's so poorly thought out. $10-50?? Where is the number coming from, to take kids on a school trip you need a bus, you need a destination, you need a driver, you need food, you need teachers. This isn't a $10-50 trip?? If you think taking kids to the park for 1 day is an incentive for them to work a trash job then you're very wrong.
2020-03-03 04:34
dummy dumb? £10-50 per pupil, depending on the travel destination
2020-03-03 04:40
Fair enough but that's still a fair bit and I'd assume they'd get more than 1 trip, if not then I doubt it'd be worth it. I wouldn't work a whole year of a shit job just to get a 1 day trip
2020-03-03 04:43
I also said lower hours for low in demand jobs.
2020-03-03 04:46
Fair enough, but at the same time if you give them lower hours then that's less $$ you're going to get out of their free labour, in regards to trips etc. It'll never happen let's just say that, companies already try their hardest to pay people the lowest they can, using any and every loophole they find. Also people do things on weekends, it'd essentially just be farming people for their time. Adults lose a ton of free time once they finish study and have to work 5 days a week, there is no need to take this off children as well.

What point would there be in spending more on education if you're making the children work all day?
2020-02-19 07:38
so and how long do they have to work each workday? do u want to make them depressed in a boring uneventful job before they reach adulthood? imagine studying all year just to have some nice time with ur family or w.e and then realizing ''oh shit, i have to clean toilets for 8 hours a day and im not even getting paid for it'', but hey atleast the suicide rate in children will skyrocket.

Kids actually have a job. They're preparing for real life and getting education. Its their job because better education = better work = more income = more taxes = goverment is happy.

You can say the same about compulsory education for under 18’s
2020-03-03 03:33
I’m against that as well (the public school system entirely actually). You can’t honestly claim to be for limiting government power while also claiming the government should force people to work. What you want is called an “authoritarian regime”. It means that the government dictates what you’re allowed to do. Most people think they are bad. I know you’re in high school and already addicted to betting, but I hope you can understand this little basic information. It’s not very complex stuff.
