and here we have a great example of a moron who does not understand how tax brackets work
now moving to the enxt exhibit...
Are you sure you are paying attention on your economy classes?????
Absolutely zero outta eight!
"work 100 times harder"
nah bro that's not how jobs work. you aren't paid based on difficulty, you're paid based on skills required. being an anesthesiologist isn't a physically taxing job - most of the surgery you're just sitting there - it just requires a lot of training and memorization. yeah the training is probably difficult - but is 3 years of reading and learning really harder than, say, 20 years of farm work?
Flat tax is the only good solution. //closed
Alright after the make kids work for free thread I thought you were just stupid but now I know you're baiting.
for someone that claims to be studying economics, you’re fucking trash at it.
this is one of the worst ideas ive seen, it makes poorer people poorer and the rich richer,
equity is better than equality (sometimes they align), if i had 20 dollars and someone had 2000 dollars, and i gave you 10 dollars while the other guy gave you 100, youd be happier with the 100, but i only had 20 so i couldnt give you 100, So why should they pay less when they have more? because the poor people wont reach the 10% and 5% youre asking for, cause the rich keep their money and it doesnt go back into helping the poor people
cba to debate.
If you seriously believe this, read something like Imperialism
feel bad for the people taking the bait. this is a complete 0/8
You're a really shit baiter
remove income tax, add expenditure tax. problem solved you're welcome
paying Income tax 2020 omegalul
how about a stupidity tax...
that way we'll get 100% out of you.
There is one regressive tax in almost every nation its called the VAT tax
Yes, even less tax income. What could go wrong to your national budget
Lolz. Rich people dont pay income taxes, they hide their money in tax havens and get no penalties.
Which uni do you study econ at?
I see where you come from but I don't think it'd work in the short term.
In the long term it might pay off and lure some millionaires to your country and boost the economy but it would also force the lower classes to pay a lot more tax.
I think taxing companies more and people less would have a similar effect but not hurt the poorer people as much.
The government barely gets enough money as it is and you think this shit is a good idea?
Do you know how tax works?
Even if this is a bait, a lot of people actually believe this so I'll give a proper response.
People don't earn in line with how hard they work. Richer families can afford to move to areas with better schooling, pay for tutoring/private schools etc. Regressive taxes keep poor people in poverty - it takes more than just 'hard work' to pay for university, pay for accomodation while you're at university, move to an area with better job prospects etc. They don't make more people rich, they make rich people richer. These are very different things.
Since you talk about morality - why should someone who earns less and has to live paycheck to paycheck because of it pay more than or even the same amount as someone who lives comfortably? For the richer person, they'd hardly even notice whereas for a poorer person that same amount could be enough to put them on the street or lock them into poverty forever.
