Seems decent, give it an NVMe SSD, and 1 year later get a RTX Super GPU and double the RAM. and it will be a beast
2020-02-20 08:48
you don't need more than 16gb ram except if you are a streamer or just like to have a f ton of chrome tabs open, or more than two game open...

Just to be on the safe side, will only be a matter of time until it's a minimum requirement for most new games
2020-02-20 08:51
True. 10-15 years.
2020-02-20 08:54
yea but I think when 32 gigs is the minimum the CPUs, GPUs and RAM speeds are gonna be a lot higher, DDR5 will have at least 6000 MHz sticks so... and CPUs will have a lot of cores like the tr 3990, and GPUs will have a lot higher clock speeds and maybe an architecture that allows them to use almost no power and much more

Has to be, if we can get the performance of Threadripper 3rd gen or even just the i9-9900KS/Ryzen 9 and the high-end Nvidia GPU:s with about less half the power consumption, it would be golden
2020-02-20 08:59
I can't remember the architectures name but there is one architecture that doesn't use a lot of power because it doesn't have to store the data inside the units unlike the ones we have nowadays, every company are working on the technology but no one has found the right way to do it... yet...

Give it some time, then things will get awesome
2020-02-20 09:15
why would anyone use 32gb? In 70%+ of games 8GB is enough

gotta prepare for the future, 2050 is right around the corner mens
2020-02-20 16:40
you might as well go with 64 gb and prepare for the future dont take advise from dumb drunk people guys :))))
2020-02-20 17:41
tbh wouldnt go for ryzen 5 3600 i would go for ryzen 5 2600 cheaper and better. 16 gb of ram is good. gpu seems pretty good so a nice setup so far
2020-02-20 08:50
Maybe he bought it for cs. I would go for ryzen r5 1600AF 12nm version. It's almost equal to ryzen 2600

I can go for 2600 and then I can buy a better gpu maybe 1660 super or vanilla
2020-02-20 09:59
yeah that sounds like a good idea. i have a ryzen 5 2600 with an rx 560 and get consistant 300 fps. try to get a cheap ssd if you can so you can install open world games on that and the graphics card will up the anti :). enjoy men

I just don't know anything about amd gpu so if u can enlighten me that would be great
2020-02-20 10:05
basically amd has more gpu cores than others, cheaper than others and amd has better low-mid range gpus whereas nvidia has the best high range

Just want to add, I have almost this exact build, switched from old nvidia gtx 660/intel i3 dunnowhat computer. Dont know how much the newer nvidia gpus and intel cpus generate heat, but I just say that hope you have windows (no pun intended) you can open in the summer. Or fancy cooling system I guess.
2020-02-20 16:46
Yeah, most nvidia gpus are pretty good at staying cool but some of the newer amd gpus have heating problems. Amd CPU’s are usually alright at temperature control but just make sure to install the drivers
2020-02-20 22:48
You should get a 256gb ssd if you can afford it. So much worth if it to have OS and frequently used programs/games on

2020-02-20 10:16
Either get 1600AF or 3600, 2600 is basically just a more expensive 1600AF. Also if you play other games then 1600AF and a 1660S makes sense. But 3600 will last longer, so you could treat it more as an investment. Get 3600, and then get a better gpu in 1-2 years and you will have a really good PC.

1600AF is not available in India
2020-02-20 19:25
ah okay, yeah, then either go for "2600 + better gpu now" or "3600 + upgrade gpu in the future". I guess it depends on how much you care about CS vs other games. 3600 is really good for fps in CS. but if you want to play AAA titles and just play CS on the side then a better gpu is more important. also in case this isn't obvious: not all components age at the same rate. gpu become outdated faster than cpus. case/psu last longest, storage can also be used in multiple builds... so it depends on what your plans are / future is.

Sound good. Use it in good days my friend
2020-02-20 08:50
Hopefully it isn't Corsair VS series PSU. Not getting SSD to install windows on, that is going to be pain to do that later. A cheap case? Probably pretty poor airflow I guess? b450 tomahawk? Mortar is a better board, but if you don't plan on getting 2 m.2 drives then probably irrelevant. I suppose the GPU suffices for CSGO. Drawback for other games though.

It's not that hard to copypasta your OS from HDD to SSD, yes it takes some time, but it's not biggie
2020-02-20 10:10
the pain is is adding old drives to a new system. Like the current hard drive to copy the OS from. Transferring permissions was such a pain.

I transferred my OS from my laptop with an USB (HDD->SSD) and that went very smooth, no struggles with permissions. I also transferred the OS from my pc (HDD->SSD) with a program (forgot the name, but Google and you will find), and also Jo struggles with permissions, maybe it's because of how you set up your PC?
2020-02-20 12:35
The two times I built new PC the old hard drive keeps permissions for "owner" of previous PC. Sounds like when cloning entire OS then the owner remains same, that would make sense.
2020-02-20 12:49
you can have problems with the bootloader if you do it wrong.
2020-02-20 13:04
at least add a 120GB ssd and use that bundled cache software.

Not yet decided but might go for corsair vengeance or adata
2020-02-20 10:02
Oh thought you had already built this lol, ram speed is gonna be important, amd processors really use any speed they can get, so I'd say get at least 3200mhz, and the lower the timings (the number behind "CL", usually 15-20) the better
2020-02-20 10:42
what is the reason to chose amd over intel?

unless you upgrade your pc, 3600 is a pretty much overkill for a 1650 super. but if you will upgrade your gpu, it's a pretty good deal.
2020-02-20 10:11
Please go for a SSD for OS. It really helps
2020-02-20 10:14
graphic card should have been 1660 TI and u would be gucci for some years.

thats nice, almost as good as 3 years old I7.. nice technology for sure
2020-02-20 13:05
Intel have been using exact same architecture for 4+ years, just increasing core count starting with Coffee lake and brute forcing clock speeds. So Ryzen with zen2 have pretty much caught up. Don't want 6 core cpu, there are 8, 12 and 16 core versions of ryzen.
2020-02-20 13:08
cool story bro thanks

300fps easy. 60fps high settings in 1080p for AAA titles. idk about the PSU , depends on which model, corsair has great psus and very shitty ones, i'd go with an EVGA Supernova G2 or a NZXT E650 , those are top tier quality. more than fine.

Maybe in India... Even my old Radeon hd 7850 wasn't overheat. They all use the same air system nowadays

Get an SSD. Running the OS and programs on a HDD is not optimal.
2020-02-20 16:39
Ryzen .. poor guy spotted. I remember having amd when I was poor as fuck (student). Thank god those days are over. Also SSD is a must if you value speed/performance.

Well you can't afford an ssd just yet, you can buy it end of March which suggest you don't even have the money to buy it now. I think you're better of not blowing all your money a pc.
