Stop trying to free cheaters and throwers. What they did are the worst "crimes" you can do in esports and they dont deserve to be freed. If you unban swag why not unban the rest of ibp? If you unban jamppi why not unban every banned cheater on steam?

it's true too everytime i get banned from a game it's because my mom was playing on the computer while i was playing outside with my little sister!!! its very true pls unban im innocent, but i can't proof it.
2020-02-21 13:58
It is proven that Jamppi sold the account lmao
2020-02-21 13:59
there is proof but nobody ever saw it. but even if he did sell it there is some time between cheating and getting banned so he could have cheated, sold account and got ban.

when there is a vac ban, it is no longer innocent until proven guilty it is guilty until proven innocent just like irl when there is a dead body, it is now guilty until proven innocent
2020-02-21 15:35
just like irl when there is a dead body, it is now guilty until proven innocent huh?
2020-02-21 16:06
Bruh when they find a dead body at your place you are going to jail. They keep investigating and if they find no concrete evidence that you committed a murder, they let you go.
2020-02-22 16:12
And where is it?
2020-02-21 14:11
Didn't flamie had a similar case? but i think flamie was already a pro, so that changes stuff a bit, so valve must have a reason to keep jamppi banned.
2020-02-21 13:53
Scared of his potential
2020-02-21 15:01
By reason i mean, he can't fully prove. Flamie being a pro already makes it easier for him to prove he didn't own the account anymore. (even though i don't know the rules for selling a steam account)
2020-02-21 15:03
As long as it isnt proved one should be guilty
2020-02-21 15:04
In this case, yes. The limits on this can be quite problematic though, what if i don't own "my" account (technically) but its my brother's account? Am i still banned?
2020-02-21 15:07
I said it isn't proven. Either way. I know anyone could say that.

Jamppi is not even banned forever by Valve, get your facts straight lmao. He was released from SJ because the topic of the vac ban surfaced and ruined the teams reputation, Valve has said that they will investigate once Jamppi reaches a minor.

His account was, but Valve has not confirmed that it was him, and they said they will investigate the truth about that allegedly sold account, once he reaches a Minor, trought some online qualifiers.

Every cheater can say it was not me playing unban me and they should be unbaned?

Latvia latvianguy
But Valve has logs and IP adresses, and all that shit that they can check, to verify wheter it was Jamppi that got the ban and cheated on the account, or it was someone else. There was this semi-professional Latvian player IndependentM, who also sold an account, which got VAC banned later, and it was proven that it was not him who got the ban, so he only got 2 year ban from Majors.
2020-02-21 14:55
Ok so they either checked and thats why he is banned, or they didnt check which means my point that cheaters need to be banned forever still stands

I mean, in my eyes it doesn't matter. If you cheat, you cheat. In 3rd party platforms the bans might be less severe than by getting a VAC ban, but a cheater is a cheater, so you really shouldn't be like - "well s1mple didn't get vac banned, he just got cheater banned on esl wire, so I like him"

I thought he cheated on 1.6? And he wasn’t banned by valve. Esl rules are different.
2020-02-21 13:47
He only cheated at esl, even if it was at csgo doesn't change it. And his second ban that made it be 2 years was bcuz he tried to avoid the ban and got banned again(original ban was a year)

Why would you need to be banned if you fucked around in mm when you were 14-year old
2020-02-21 13:51
By that logic you could get away with murder if you are 14.
2020-02-21 14:02
14 Year olds don't get put away for life for murder.
2020-02-21 14:45

2020-02-21 14:03
a 14 year old should know the diffrence between bad and good
2020-02-21 14:17
they were kids.
2020-02-21 13:51
if we are looking at csgo like real life you can say they are kids for almost all players
2020-02-21 13:53
well kids under 15 gets out from jail earlier because they were kids. If adult would do that he could sit whole life. Kids dont understand the seriousness of the act.
2020-02-21 14:09
ok unban every accound then?
2020-02-21 14:10
why ? there is no reason, they can just do new acccount. *Its about playing in pro level.

2020-02-21 14:45
Normal people can just go get another account. It doesn't actually accomplish anything. The basic idea is that bans from professional play, shouldn't be permanent, if the cheating didn't take place in a professional setting. Assuming, of course, that Jamppi even cheated in the first place.
2020-02-21 14:47
They should be. If you want to commit the worst "crime" possible in esports you dont deserve to play as a pro
2020-02-21 14:49
Why? Should I be banned from playing football because I used adderal ONCE in a little league game, an incident, by the way, that hasn't even been proven to happen in the first place? Kids cheat, mistakes made when you were so young shouldn't effect a potential career.
2020-02-21 14:51
yes you should be banned in sports if you cheated
2020-02-21 14:52
404 logic not found This is the equivalent of giving a 14 year old the death penalty for stealing money for her mom's purse.
2020-02-21 14:55
Cheating is the worst crime you can do in esports and deservest the most punishment
2020-02-21 17:27
except that he wasnt playing esports... he was playing a game, casually, if he cheated at all. The punishment does not fit the crime. No one lost money, no one lost opportunities, at worst, he ruined a few people's games, when he was t w e l v e
2020-02-21 18:14
doesnt matter where you played, ban should be ban
2020-02-21 18:31
why?
2020-02-21 18:37
because you broke the rules in the worst way possible
2020-02-21 19:01
Not in the worst possible way... He didn't cheat in tournament, no one lost money, no one died, no one had their lives, career or month ruined.. At worst, he made a few people mad in MM. Not worth having his entire career squandered.
2020-02-21 19:16
OK so you are again saying that cheaters should not be banned.
2020-02-22 13:50
I'm saying PEOPLE shouldn't be permanently banned, accounts should be. Normal people can just go and make another account, and I'm sure that's what he thought was going to happen.

Do you feel more justified when you blame someone who's not even old enough to understand the consequences? You probably only knew how to pick your nose in age of 12. :D Anyways hope this will open your eyes a bit. Probably not. Worth a shot though..

Perhaps time limited ban would be better than permanent. Such as 5 years or so ban from majors. It's different for adults because they have already established somekind of future plan and seen their own potential and also understand what they do is wrong and a punishable. So to them it's a lot more severe crime.
2020-02-21 14:27
yes a timed ban would be a solution but then it should be the same for every banned player not just for swag and jamppi
2020-02-21 14:28
he is not a kid anymore and he should get an education instead of hoping that valve all of a sudden will change their ban policy because of him, which won't happen anyway. why is he trying to become a pro in game he can't ever become a pro? it's fucking stupid and obviously should be encouraged

2020-02-21 14:17
why are athletes allowed to cheat and then come back ?
2020-02-21 14:18
they arent thats the point even if they are its much easier to check if they continue to cheat in sports than in esports
2020-02-21 14:19
they arent? ahahah so many mma fighters, sprinters who used steroids are allowed to come back after 1 year.
2020-02-21 14:20
yes and they CANNOT cheat anymore because of the checks. Meanwhile in esports get a private cheat its hard to detect. But thats not my point. My point is if you want to unban jamppi why not unban every cheater on steam
2020-02-21 14:21
jamppi is not banned on his main acc. its retarded that you get a life time banned from professional csgo if you cheat once when you are 8 years old and then never again. i mean, even if your friends download a cheat on your pc and you get banned you can never play pro csgo again unless you have amazing proof.
2020-02-21 14:24
OK lets say i agree with you. Then every banned steam account should get unbanned after some time
2020-02-21 14:25
No because that actively worsens the gameplay for many members of the community. If events are secure then no one is suffering from Jamppi being allowed at majors. Also jamppi would have been a minor at the time of the crime which in most crimes dont transfer to adulthood.
2020-02-21 17:17
Cheating isnt a crime by law so age doesnt matter. But what you are saying is "unban cheater if they are good at the game" which is stupid
2020-02-21 17:28
So what you're saying is a something that's not even a crime should prevent you from playing the game forever?
2020-02-22 12:22
Its not against the law its against the terms of service where it says that a cheater will be banned forever.
2020-02-22 13:48
From playing on that account not from playing the game professionally. No where is that law stated.

so, do you agree that we should ban s1mple for life as well?
2020-02-21 16:23
if he gets banned by valve yes he was banned by esl and the ban ended
2020-02-21 17:29
and don't you think jamppi and swag's (among many others) punishments should have been enough? I mean, match fixing is not as severe as cheating, and jamppi wasn't even proved to be cheating, meanwhike s1mple cheated and only got banned for 2 years of ESL...
2020-02-21 19:31
I think the punishment for cheating should be banning the player forever. But this doesnt matter. Simple did his time and wasnt unbanned, jamppi and swag didnt do their time because they are banned forever and like everyone else that gets a vac ban, ow ban... they shouldnt be unbanned.
2020-02-22 13:53
Theres a reason people are tried as minors irl. It should be the same in CS. No reason Jamppin should be banned and iBP should at least have gotten a time period. 3 years was enough. Especially with how much people like Steel have done for the scene.
2020-02-21 17:13
age doesnt matter because this has nothing to do with real laws cheating is the worst "crime" in esports and should not be forgiven
2020-02-21 17:30
except A) swag didn't cheat B) jamppi wasn't proved to be cheating C) if you commit a crime as a kid you get a much lower sentence than as an adult
2020-02-21 19:32
swag threw which is about as bad as cheating jamppi was vac banned these are the worst crime possible in esports and deserve ban forever
2020-02-21 19:42
1) no it isn't 2) it was never proved he did 3) IF he had done it, he wasn't an esports player when it happened, so how can you commit the "worst crime in esports" if you're not an esports player (probably didn't even know what esports were)

2020-02-22 12:21
1) You are right, throwing for financial gain is even worse than cheating. 2) It was proven by VAC. Of course he says it wasnt him but every mm cheater also says that so unban everyone banned by vac? 3)He wants to be an esports player now, ofc you look at his history. Swag's twitter cryrant was laughable. How entitled are you? You've played CSGO for a living your entire adult life. You have been a successful streamer. So, you get to play video games for a living and people pay you to do it... Hell, he was even hired as an analyst for Cloud 9... Dignitas is looking for an analyst. DuRrRrrRrR You made an idiotic decision that got you banned from the (currently) most prestigious competitions within the game. Deal with it. Kid had the option to ditch CS for BRs like PUBG, H1Z1, and especially Fortnite as they all rose up AFTER his CS bans. He kept puttering around uselessly in CSGO instead of using his skill to attribute to a new esports life in a different game. Again, his own decision. FFS all this MH crap from these kids. They never would have been able to handle high school in the mid-2000s, lol. It's nauseating. If a kid called me a name, we squared up at recess, did a 15-minute recess detention to a 3-day suspension maximum (which just meant more gaming) and it was dealt with. Get some thick skin ffs. I actually don't get all the sympathy for him. Go try getting an education or a more plausible, sustainable career like other people. Unreal. I lost what shreds of respect I still had for that kid after that tweet. "#freebrax"
2020-02-21 17:39
except he didn't get a "15-minute recess detention" he got a whole school ban for life

It's not like there's not 100 other esports or here's a thought, a life outside my bedroom... If he can't realize there's more to life than this, good riddance. What an entitled, privileged fool.

99% of guys that want jamppi to stay banned are jealous AF. Everyone that has cheated at some time but reached pro level play without cheats (ez to proof) should be ok with playing tournaments.. Btw cheats in games are normal and even cheating in IRL look at lawyers... Everyone has cheated for some reason maybe family problems or... Yea i know it does not excuse that they have cheated but it is just a game so punishment should be much lower than IRL... Ban for 1-2 years is more than enough i think because they will stop with cheating cuz they now they can play profesionally after ban.. But when they get permanent ban from tournaments they will cheat and destroy csgo even more

so... unban cheaters because they are good at the game? 1-2 years for the worst "crime" you can do in esports? i guess it could work but then every cheater should get unbanned after that time right?

Hmm sure 2 years vac/OW ban on steam not perma same as it is on faceit everyone should get a second chance We have to say that 2 years in esports are a lot because the game can be dead in 2 years but thats fair chance for them

Ok but then it should be like that for EVERYONE not just swag and jamppi or any others that the community decides shoud be unbanned
2020-02-22 13:57
and who says we don't support that?
2020-02-22 15:16
the hashtags #freeswag and #freejamppi like i said in the title
2020-02-22 16:08
because they're the most notorious cases, plus that their infringement was much less severe than others have dine, yet they received a ban for life (actually jamppi hasn't been banned, but orgs won't pick him up for the fear of it)

but none of those cheaters from steam wasn't good enough to become a tier 1 awper

On principle I agree, but in Jamppi's case I am more sympathetic since it was never actually proven that he had control of the account when the cheats were used on it. In my opinion Valve should give him the benefit of the doubt pending the results of an investigation, and then ban him if he's found guilty - but I'm long past believing that this will ever actually happen. I don't believe in second chances for cheaters. If anyone is conclusively proven guilty then they should live with the consequences of their actions.

do you believe a kid who stole a candy from a drugstore should go to jail for the rest of their lives?
2020-02-22 20:30
No, but I believe he should be banned from that store for life.
2020-02-22 20:36
for a candy?
2020-02-22 20:38
is jamppi a proven cheater tho? I thought valve wont investigate until he reaches minor/major

Their needs to be different rules for under 18s who get caught cheating. I would say the only exception would be if said person is already on a pro team. Swag should have been unbanned when he turned 18 and Jampi despite my full belief he did in fact cheat should also be unbanned when he turns 18. Valve literally ruined Swag's career and you could argue life considering the money involved. This guy was the 13th best player or something in the first year of this game. If you look at almost every other name on that particular list they are all noteworthy. NA could have potentially had a TL/EG level of team much sooner. Swag, Stewie and Autimatic in 2016 would have smacked a lot more teams down then that C9 lineup did.
