you really have big gulp instead of brain. In National polls he's already in free fall, see #130 in SC Bernie is closing down - even if Biden wins he's already so behind it doesn't matter. He had +11 in South Carolina now only +5

Yes they do want a socialist, thats why Bernie is beating Biden and every other neoliberal ghoul in every single race despite the fact that the establishment and media is smearing Bernie 24/7. Why the fuck would anyone vote for a kiddie sniffer Sleepy Joe instead of a guy who has been fighting for the working family his entire life and will bring healthcare, climate justice etc to all? They wont, Bernie is going to win, first the primary then Trump. Deal with it.

Trump didnt won by total numbers of votes
2020-02-25 10:58
he was also behind in a lot of swing states that he ended up winning so...
2020-02-25 14:01
and? the polls were overall correct. less people wanted trump as president. The USA has a big democracy deficit. They give persons from different states different value of their vote.

because we don't want big states deciding everything that happens on the federal level? the power doesn't belong in big states like california or texas, who will almost always be democrat/republican, the power belongs in the swing states
2020-02-25 15:34
how about to count all votes at the same level? Very weak democracy atm. Vote 4 president has nothing to do with all the states. How has a big state more power at a vote 4 a president?? it like We would say Bravia votes have 2 times more value than the votes in Sachsen but the Chancellor has nothing to do with rules in Bravia...

Not really, the economy is flourishing under Trump. People voted for Hillary because she was a similar candidate to Obama and generally a standard Democrat. The US is center-lean-right country, and even most Democrat voters have more in common with Trump than Bernie. Plus Bernie is only barely winning the Democrat race, where most people are stubborn and will refuse to vote for someone other than their candidate

Yes and no, while it is true that policies often affect the economy even after a presidents term, in this case a bigger reason was expectations. His America first policy, including forcing businesses to stay in the US set a certain expectation, and future expectations are what drive an economy.
2020-02-21 22:26

Also it's funny to see people giving Trump credit for the economy when it was actually Obama who inherited a country with a falling economy and in a couple years turned it around and kept it at an upwards trajectory for the rest of his 2 terms while Trump just inherited his work and claims it as his doing.
2020-02-25 17:39
He's just doing the typical Neo-Con strategy of boom and bust with his tax cuts. Short term boost, but it fucks the country in the long term. Austerity in the coming years due to lack of revenues.
2020-02-25 20:10
"The economy is doing great" yeah that totally affects the majority of the country.. and also that totally was Trump's doing and not Obama, who by the way inherited a country with a declining economy and brought it back while Trump inherited a country with a soaring economy and only kept it from not going down.

The opposite lmao, you could put any dog as president in 2008 and the economy would recover, as it did everywhere else. Whereas Trump did get a good economy, and he made it much better, look at the stats like unemployment and polling
2020-02-25 17:40
False: ca.rbcwealthmanagement.com/phil.knight/b.. Obama elected in 2008 and brought into office in 2009 and it goes up instantly and stays upwards for 8 years, Trump inherited a country on the rise, Obama inherited a country on the decline The same goes for unemployment, for the first year of Obama's presidency, unemployment went up, as a result of the already rising unemployment rate from the end of Bush's presidency, but since 2010, the unemployment rate has been going down at the exact same rate. : msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/unemploymen.. i.insider.com/5931bcb3b74af4ce008b622d?w..
2020-02-25 17:46
Also not to mention, one of the reasons the unemployment rate went down during the first few years of Trump was because 230,000 people outright left the labor force, making them still jobless, but not "unemployed" since they quit looking for a job.

9/11 was a direct result of US intervention in Afghanistan. We only joined world war two AFTER we were attacked. And we won. It didn't fail us in the slightest.

9/11 was first the war after WW2 we learned that America will be attacked even as isolated and that to save the free world we cannot stay out of it
2020-02-25 15:10
The US is fine as a country. It hasn't had its core territory credibly threatened since the civil war, and has only been attacked (on home soil) twice, to memory, since. The US could EASILY get away with cutting military spending by 60%, and it wouldn't be a detriment to US safety at all, because of how advantageous its geography is.

US is also responsible for the safety of the entire free world not just their home soil obviously
2020-02-25 15:19
Maybe it shouldn't be that way. We should encourage stability across the entire planet to an extent, but we shouldn't engage in this horrific regime change mentality (Resulting in the Libyan Civil war, all the instability in Afghanistan and Iraq, a hostile government in Iran etc etc) US Interventionism has done nothing but de-stabilize the middle east, forced our European allies away and made an entire generation of Middle Easterners, South Americans and Africans despise us. We can support allies to an extent with out making everything our business.

I mean the execution has been shit I agree, however the optimal solution would be to eradicate all of the evil regimes and instead bring forward the true concepts of individual rights and liberties etc but that is really hard so idk
2020-02-25 16:40
I don't trust the government to do what's "right" -- if such a thing even exists. The government will do whatever it thinks is best for US interests, regardless of what is good. If that means assassinating a former ally in Libya? fine. Supporting a terrible dictator in Vietnam or Argentina? Go for it. The best solution, is to just not get involved in the first place.
