ask ganbling site for Demo account and make bets or find another hobby
2020-02-23 07:55
get a gym membership and hit the gym 5 times a week. Its a good balance :) Good luck you are making the right move. Use the money you wasted for betting for other good stuff :). Maybe you can still bet on cs go matches for fun, but just bet like 1 dollar or a certain amount that you could lose without thinking about it to much.

I wish I could go to gym but I'm broke
2020-02-23 07:58
wait for your next salary or maybe get a free month to test it. Some gyms offer it. Just make sure you do not gamble away the next money you get. If it helps give ur parents your debit card and make sure you cant just withdraw money from your account.

literally all i did was get a job, helped me mature and stop thinking i can get rich from betting LUL just find a way to realize that betting will only be fun, and will with 99% certainty result in loss long-term at least

2020-02-23 21:26
Just to give you an idea. Around 99% of poker players are unsuccessful. Which means only 1% is successful and poker is still somewhat skill based whereas betting on esports/sports games is just random as fuck.
2020-04-01 22:36
yeah that makes sense, im just betting for fun so idc too much when i lose some money. but people like niko need help
2020-04-01 22:59
I gamble a lot myself. But only for fun like you and that's how it should. Poker online, poker in real life, casino slots, online slots I play it all and have a blast doing it:D
2020-04-01 23:20
thats great. for me, its the aspect of making esports/sports even more exciting than it already is. truthfully i love the feeling of being so mad after a stupid round lost or an amazing clutch when money's on the line. really brings out a lot of emotions
2020-04-02 00:00
Yeah.. I used to bet esports too long ago when I still played/followed actively and it was 100 times better watching when youve betted and at some point you even stop watching if you didn't bet.
2020-04-02 00:02
very true, i cant watch events other than the big ones/leagues anymore without betting on them. kind of sad but thats how it goes i guess
2020-04-02 00:10
Lost and won 1000s betting esports but take it from me.. learn how to play poker and you only need to invest a couple of 100s and you can keep making money.
2020-04-02 00:16
idk man, have tried poker before doesnt seem like my thing tbh. also seeing as i have a pretty addictive personality i dont want to get into more betting :D
2020-04-02 00:19
When I started I stopped working for 2 years and played 12 hours poker each day :P
2020-04-02 00:22
damn, yeah i dont wanna get into that knowing how i react to gambling :D as long as you stay safe financially <3
2020-04-02 00:23
Made +- 50K but decided to get back to work because I was playing way too much :P
2020-04-02 00:26

Bro, you're talking about quitting gambling like it's quitting cocaine or sth. IT TRULY IS THAT EASY, TURN OFF UR INTERNET, BOOM NO BETTING ON CS MATCHES. Fuck me...

Nah apparently it's hard and is even considered a sickness.

It's a mentality thing, if you keep telling yourself you can't quit because it's hard it will be hard. Bitching about it on Twitter and HLTV isn't going to help. What's going to help is letting some1 close to you hold your money, so you can't bet. Or turn off the Internet.

I could make a lots of money from betting, but i think now that a waste of time. Just do something else, become better

I am close to even in terms of money but i must have some kind of predisposition towards being addicted to gambling. I have used those sites like 2 periods of my life for some months and when you win money It's so addicting you just want to do more and more bets, there was a point while i was betting to fucking Qatar football matches lmao. So one day i just closed the account and that's what you should be doing, close your shit and never go back. People always tell you about their wins but hide their loses, and trust me, most people lose otherwise all those companies (and there are a fucking million of these gambling sites) wouldn't exist.

I am in the same spot like you, also trying to quit for good or atleast try and control it which is hard asf. Whenever i get money i also spend it on betting everytime and at the begging i have patience with bets. I get up to a big amnount but in the end always end up losing because somehow i lose patience and do some big/stupid bets. No idea how it keeps happening time and time again, it’s something we have in our brain.
2020-04-01 22:24
I'm trying to fix this mental block, but i just can't.... This post was from 2 months ago and I'm still betting and lost a lot of money since

I understand, it’s just something that’s hard to do. That’s why only few ppl profit from betting. Every time i deposit again i say in my head oh this time i am not gonna do same mistakes like i am gonna be smarter with bets but in the end same shit happens.

Just have someone else hold your money, and keep enough to buy food and shit, so you literally CAN'T bet. Obviously it's an extreme measure to take but by your posts it seems like that would be the logical thing to do.

Dude thats the story of my life. I've been gambling since I was like 12 and stakes were higher and higher as years were passing. The worst thing is I were stealing money from my parents, they didnt know what to do. I saw my mom crying a few times because she didnt know what to do anymore. Gambling is the worst addiction. Im smoking, I do a lot of drugs, alcohol with drugs also, but I can quit it for like a month without any problem and then do again. But with gambling its a whole another story..

Serious here. So in 2017 I was hitting the gym like crazy and cutting weight, went from 83kg to 73 in around 3-4months. Summer vacation started and I had a decent looking body but at that time I also got into betting, as I you can guess I got badly addicted, wasted around 700€ (money I made working during vacation) and gained all the weight back by end of the summer. But now I'm into btc and crypto in general, it's funnier.. I keep loosinc but much slower, that's an improvement, put in 3k now worth 350
2020-04-01 22:58
That really sucks mate. I never had any interest in gambling in my life, so I can't imagine how difficult life would be with such a painful addiction. I only know how to difficult it can be overcome such habits and I wish you the best of luck at becoming stronger then yourself.

I actually both have experienced problems with addiction myself and research this matters. You can send me a message and we can talk privately if you want, but I will try to make the best advice here in a simple manner: you gotta change other stuff in your life. for as long as you focus on betting as the problem, you will be a prisioner of betting because you can't take your eyes and mind from it. You gotta work out other stuff to reaquire a better sense for pleasure in your mind and body. You are trying to balance 2 opposite things: the extreme thrill of winning, and the extreme sadness of losing, which is the necessary counter-part unless you are some betting genius, which you ain't and ain't gonna become never unless you succeed in learning a few things from IBuyPower crew lmao. Focus on the stuff you actually like to do. You probably like food. Dwelve into that. You probably like sex. Dwelve into that. You probably like love. Dwelve into that. You probably like friends, dwelve into that. You probably like games, dwelve into that. There's stuff in life you will be OBBLIGED to do in most cases like working, but you gotta focus on making pleasure whenever and wherever you can in life. It's very hard to say this all so fast, so I needed to cut some corners. I hope you could have understood something, and that it can help. Lure yourself out of gambling. Even swapping addictions can be benefitial if you Learn. It's all about balance. You don't even have to abandon gambling. It can be healthy, although it's an expensive hobby, but I have witnessed people losing 100k euros on single roulette spin and actually enjoy it because of the thrill of the possibility of winning much more. Gl bro

that's your real problem, not gambling addiction did you pursue profissional help? you can overcome depression
2020-04-02 00:39
now even if I want to get professional help - I can't. I've been depressed for years I think I will always be depressed
2020-04-02 01:24
well maybe you feel comfortable being depressed, maybe you love your illness. it's your own life, who knows... but I can assure you there is another path. When we don't eat for a lot of time, it's even better to have a banquet - keep that in mind. you can get professional help for sure lots of professionals don't charge for it specially in your bloody rich country gl
2020-04-02 01:34

2020-04-02 00:13
Hello, i made this account purely because i have seen this message and made my account because i have experience with this myself. My post will be long because there is a lot of areas too cover. First my story with gambling addiction. Between 2010 to 2014 I turned 100 euro into 18,000 euro bit by bit with incredible discipline betting only 2% of my bank at a time starting with 2 euro. Whenever i doubled my bank i would double my bet. Well to save turning a long post into a very very long post i will get to the finish of my story..... On the Sunday of The Fifa World Cup 2014 match where Nederlands defeated Mexico i lost every cent except 3,000 euros. You can verify my claim by checking that very same Sunday The European tour golf winner was Fabrizio Zanotti who defeated Henrik Stenson in a play off. If Stenson won the play off i would have lost 1,000 euros on the day but Zanotti scored an unprecedented win at odds teeing off the final round of 350 to 1. Zanotti has never come close to winning another tournament since. It shows just how poorly and manically betting that no matter who was going to win i was going to lose. My position during the playoff was roughly -1000 stenson win - 10,000 zanotti win. My bet of Nederland too win was roughly 3,000 euros to win 3,000 (evs) I Cashed out this bet for 500 while Mexico were winning 1-0 incredibly Nederland scored 2 late goals and won. At this stage i had drink roughly just over half a litre of Jameson and im a non drinker, i climbed out my attic window and was lying on the roof smoking and drinking in the summer air working myself up the courage to throw myself off. Thankfully the neighbours at the rear road of my house told my father and after 20 minutes talking he talked me down. I went to a gamblers anonymous meeting and told them my story. I listened too the other peoples story and began thinking "this is pathetic" "this is not for me" etc. Some of the stories for example {the people will retain anonymity) An accountant at a top firm stole 600k euro and lost it in 3 hours A heterosexual man who would go to a park and perform sexual favours on men for money he would instantly gamble away and go through that same process over and over again. A woman who lost 200k euro and her house playing online bingo 70 hours a week. As i said i thought "these people are a million times worse than me, this isnt for me, i could have had a million if only i hadnt panicked and lost my discipline, ive never stolen anything i wouldn't suck a dick for money etc" I went back to my betting 2% of my bank but was very quickly breaking my rules chasing the 18k i once had. After a few months of that i realized that i too had a serious problem and went back to GA. I ignored other peoples situation and concentrated on my own, i read the guidebook and realized i was 100% an addict. i could have won a million and i would have wanted 2, could have won 2 and would have wanted 100 million. Over 5 years later i have not bet a cent. For your situation i have some advice. 1. Go too a GA meeting in your area 2. I seen above someone suggesting you play poker for fake money.....YOU CANNOT DO THIS. I am sure that person means well but they are not an addict you are and i am. You cannot gamble for fake chips, matchsticks, you cant even play a game of Monopoly. 3. If you are struggling with gambling advertisers i would take a break from watching sports or esports until you feel strong enough too watch without betting. it took me 3 years of not watching any sports. Good luck and i will sign in once a day if you want to talk. And just one last warning and i cant stress this enough. YOU HAVE ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS ADDICTIONS IN THE WORLD IN A FINANCIAL SENSE. NO ALCO, CRACKHEAD, HEROIN ADDICT ETC. COULD DRINK AWAY OR SMOKE AWAY A MILLION EURO, A HOUSE A CAR ETC. IN 30 SECONDS BUT WITH GAMBLING ITS NOT JUST POSSIBLE, MORE THAN LIKELY ITS HAPPENED TO PEOPLE IN THE 15 MINUTES IT TOOK ME TOO TYPE THIS MESSAGE. THERE IS NO CRACKHEAD WHO THINKS "THIS NEXT ROCK WILL SOLVE ALL MY PROBLEMS2 BUT FOR A GAMBLERS DELUSION THAT BIG WIN IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER BUT IN REALITY IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

Gl man. Hope you can turn your life around. You're still a student. Still young. Still with opportunities.

I'm no professional but i would seek professional advice. If I had to give advice, I would say stop paying attention to things that can lead to gambling. Sports, CS, horse racing, all that. Get into healthier hobbies that don't allow you to do that. That's just my guess, if this was alcohol I would say avoid alcohol and bars entirely, not to cut down drinking and go to the bar infrequently, I would say avoid it at all costs. Either way, seek help if you can and good luck.
