Why is it so hard?
 |
Brazil TweentyOnee
I have been playing a lot these days and I can't rank up on any plataform (neither faceit and MM) I always seem to find trash teammates/toxic teammates that quit in the first half or just don't help. I know that people will say "that's why you don't solo queue", but I don't have friends neither a team. Why is it so hard to actually find good teammates and/or friends that actually play (I've been playing this for 4 years and haven't met one person that plays this game competitively)

2020-02-25 08:05
lmao NO Uk guys are toxic. We just wanna play but we have dog shite team mates. If you call us toxic, what do you think of Russians serious question.

never played with Russians but with Americans yes, 2 times, they weren't that toxic to me (they kicked me close to the end of the game)

Yeah Russians do that to you all the time. It’s not even funny just scummy.

Tbh, UK is toxic. But so are most countries in the EU. Or at least, they're toxic to the UK guys. It goes both ways
2020-02-25 08:16
UK guys are only toxic if you are though. You have to do something for them to be IMO. Other than that, they are only just having a laugh and then some Russian cusses you out!
2020-02-25 08:48
LMAO most toxic and braindead players - go que with them. NT CAPTAIN ENGLANDO. Ok, I forgot Russians, Ukrainians and Polish people, but you are right behind them.

I'm new to faceit, so I don't understand hubs. I've been playing a cs.money open ladder (cause it's EZ points). But maybe that's why I'm only finding some bad players, idk

and play against the same stacked premades that will chose the same team and lose every game

I’d suggest trying your luck on dreamteam, or just make friends on community servers that actually play faceit. Also, if you don’t mind, what lv r u on faceit / rank on mm

I tried going to DreamTeam, last time I was able to join a team where we played for 4 months and then disbanded (they didn't like to play anymore) I'm lvl 3 faceit, I'm not that good to be on lvl 5 (i still have much to learn) I'm gold 3 on MM (i stopped playing for like, 3 or 4 months because of school)
2020-02-25 08:13
Play more deathmatch, get better at aiming, watch pro matches and try to learn, be more patient in rounds and play smarter. Be friendly no matter what, mute people who are useless cunts being toxic. Not everything is about stats, focus on your game and impact. You can't win them all, if a game is lost and your team has given up, try to have fun (like buying deagles and going for 1 deags etc.). You will lose games, everyone does.

i do most of the things you say (i'll start playing dm again, i always hated it). I don't know how to learn from watching pro matches, bcause most of the time i'm just cheering but, I'll give it a try
2020-02-25 09:45
Like try to watch how they move, where they hold angles on CT side, how they push and use smoke to get into better positions on T side. Learning quick and easy smokes on your favorite maps (there are 30 sec youtube videos showing simple smoke lineups that you can execute alone), shit like this REALLY helps your individual game. Like learning a one way smoke for window in Mirage. Makes you hold mid easier and gives your team an advantage. For DM just turn volume to 0, put on some chill music and try to focus on your aim. And relax while doing it, don't tilt in a useless DM match. If the lobby is annoying just leave and try another. Learn your smokes/flashes, it makes your game much easier.

FURIOUSSS has a good aiming routine that actually helps, check him on youtube youtu.be/TD-aThFH_e0 if you don't have the time for the hsdm, you'll still progress, but most importantly practice the spray rather than some flicks and one taps. Another advice that helped me is loading a map that i like or i need to understand better before playing and peek every corner of it(xhair placement) and move on it to also practice your movement a bit.
2020-02-25 12:31
+10. There's also a map in workshop that you can practice prefire angles on each map, where there is bots set up in popular spots. I forget what it's called but it's good for spamming spots etc :)
2020-02-25 12:59
i think it's by yprac, but forgot its name
2020-02-25 15:19
Maybe you're just in the rank/bracket that you belong in? People always act like they experience this unique version of mm/queueing where only they get bad teammates. The opponent gets bad teammates all the time too - everyone does. Bad players, decent players, even pro players get bad teammates in pugs/mm. You're better than the rank you're in = you rank up. Otherwise, you stay in it until you're good enough.

as long as i know, on cs you only rank up by doing well and winning. Every time I lose, i do amazingly well. Everytime i win, i look have good k/d (mid of the scoreboard) I just feel like i always get the worst teammates possible, but i guess you're right, i might not be good enough

I agree. All CSGO players should play competitively to win and bring out the best competition. Otherwise, go play Fortnite or CoD. I live by the truest of true words of a living legend, Ninja: "The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle."

I'm not being sarcastic. I get angry when people play it and say they have fun whilst going 3-24. I don't understand how playing a videogame for 1 hour and getting 3 kills is fun. You literally spend more time watching the others play out the round than actually doing anything. You're better off going to play a single-player shooter where you're the alpha than being the worst player in every CSGO match, lol. My opinion on the matter.

Go play CoD or Fortnite, noobs. CS is in all it's refinement. There isn't need of new guns or alternative timelines... It's the StarCraft: Brood War of FPS games. For those of you who don't know, SC: Brood War is the worlds most competitive and difficult esport. The game has not had a gameplay update in over a decade because it's so refined and perfect in its form. In actuality, "balance" is through map creation rather than game alteration. The same applies to CSGO. All the issues that comes with it are due to weapon alterations - which aren't needed. AWP and AK are the two most effective weapons and both have been in the game for 20 years now. No strategy changes from CS1.6. The same beautiful, highly competitive and no ceiling game we always enjoyed. The alpha of competitive FPS games.

Have you passed the 100 sub mark yet on twitch? I gotta know. I wanna be one of the first subs to turboleifern so that when you make it big I can say I was there since the beginning. Is all social media @turboleifern? Seriously bro, what's your game plan for stardom? I gotta know, man. I'm inspired. I want to be a channel mod. Why bother with Ninja, xaxaxaxaxa when I could be a prominent figure in the turboleifern community? Srsly Why quote a gaming icon like Ninja when I can promote the next rising star !?!?!?! I'm sure you'll also have cool quotes. And like a Netflix documentary. The rise and fall of Turboleifern. From RS6 to CS: Galactic Adventure. Imagine being so triggered by a quote that you have to jump in!?
2020-02-25 13:52
If you don't have team to play with, the only viable option is to take it in your own hands to carry. If you're joining a match with random players, with you being another random player there too, then it's 50-50 chance to begin with. You need an edge, something that takes you apart from the average, otherwise there is no reason to expect above average.

I disagree. Smurfs hold too much power in MM, now. MMR should be a revealed thing. Not ranks. And on top of that, stricter measures in place against new and unused accts. There needs to be forced measures in place to prevent ruining the integrity of the game. The problem with them not doing this is because all VALVE cares about are skin sales. The more users (hence the game is free) the more skin sales and unboxings happen. It's the sole reason they don't fix MM. At no point should a player have to do ALL the work, even in a random game. The higher your rank, the more this should therefore reflect the use of proper utility and strategy. But it all remains the same, if you don't plan to win and contribute as best you can to ensuring that win, don't play. You're the one committing to a "competitive match." There's casual servers, DM servers, custom servers, mission servers, battle royale, etc. There's so many casual modes of play that there's absolutely no excuse for a player to queue in "Competitive" and not have a competitive mindset. Period.
2020-02-25 08:39
How would revealing MMR help other than give more reason for players give up easier during a match? Smurfs as a problem... Sounds like the problem is the fear of deranking, that makes the pussy players to smurf. I don't see fix there. What forced measures would you implement other than revealing rank? I don't see what benefits that would bring. Just because there is a clear problem here, doesn't necessarily men that there is actual solution to solving it.
2020-02-25 08:49
that's why you don't solo queue

Agree with you, most people think that they are good players, they don’t understand that they are making mistakes, even if player have a lot of frags , but cannot/don’t want to communicate with team. Try find adequate people even if they won’t top fraggers, just need play as team, and that all u need to become as global ;)

I started playing competitively only last year (I play since 2015) Ranking up takes some time indeed, but the problem is winning games. I just struggle to find good teammates on MM or faceit, and because of my rank and lvl I can't find any team that would like to have me with them. I know I can get better, but alone it gets really hard, and sometimes you lose motivation because, even though you have a reason to get better, you just remember all the stuff that happens when you play, everything that makes you mad, and with that, it gets hard to improve cause you know it's going to happen again
2020-02-25 09:28
Is just mindset. When you focus on morons, you see morons everywhere. I solo queu all the time with random ruskis and turks in the same game and still have gg's. Just keep calm

I do keep calm, I don't get easily angered in-game, but is just such a terrible feeling to know you did well but it doesn't matter because you lost anyway. And there's a lot of people that somehow get good rank but are terrible and end up making your game worst.
2020-02-25 09:36
It really is all mindset. If people are terrible in your eyes but higher rated, they must be doing something right.
2020-02-25 10:19
Take a break for a day or two. CS has a lot to do with your head and as soon as you get into this mindset youll play shit. Watch Katowice without playing and keep an eye on players that play you positions on maps and get back to the game in a few days

You have 2 options - either take it easy and just enjoy the game like 80% of players or get serious and grind it until you can carry the game yourself. Up to lem you can solo carry the game, on supreme you will find plenty of teammates to play with. Just git gud, play dm and grind heads.

Bro if you derank then it's just easier to have insane games lmao. I know it's super frustrating to have smooth brain teammates and losing sucks but it happens to everyone, just keep queuing. The absolute worst case scenario that can happen, is you get deranked into an easier bracket and just dominate everyone.
