HOW DOES U KNOW THAT?
2020-02-27 01:40
Slept with alot of the psychology students. ngl the fact they slept with me might be the first sign of them being mentally unstable

Totally agree. Idiots trying to heal themselves by helping others. Help yourself first
2020-02-27 01:44
If it heals them by doing so then it's kind of noble is it not?

Well it's kinda hard to tell if it heals or not. Sometimes it can do worse.
2020-02-27 09:45
because they can relate to other mentally unstable people
2020-02-27 01:45
Personally i find psychology really interresting, i think it's the control/manipulation aspect that draws me in. Had i not been studying towards a job in IT i would've definately done psychology.
2020-02-27 01:54
Yeah it also depends what type of psychology you want to do. I meant t those who talk with depressed people and such.
2020-02-27 02:06

you dont visit psychologist to hear lines from a book you can read it yourself you probably go there to know how to apply certain methods, find out what suits your needs more, talk to someone who understand your feelings and can relate cause you probably cant do this with friends or family never been to psychologists atleast not yet lmao definitely unstable with PTSD and depression probably gonna study psychology at some point, already have plans to read Carl Jung :) just to back up your statement :D
2020-02-27 02:23
Damn sucks that you have PTSD and depression. Life is too beautiful to be sad, you only have one life, so do the things that will bring you happiness (except if you hurt other living things). Good luck with you studies!

thanks m8 you are completely right and i am working on it already found passion in cooking, went to the gym and gonna learn to play drums its just been rough few years and there was no way around it i dont think its possible to evade ptsd when your entire world crumbles in short period of time had to quit uni, end my 4 years relationship, family member got killed and i ve been all alone since then i am actually lucky to be an introvert with good self reflexion to realise whats going on inside and find solution basicly all i need is love that will fix a lot but i am not that selfish to start relationship and throw my problems on someone elses shoulders, first of all i should become happy on my own then start healthy relationship so i am on the right way i think
2020-02-27 04:41
Good luck man

I can say with certainty that of my class, 90% chose the profession due to a depressive or bipolar history.

I'm pursuing a psychology degree but have no intentions of becoming a psychologist/therapist/counselor/psychiatrist. You probably have that stereotype because the field is a favorite of the undecided (there's some crazy statistic out there that like 1 in 4 US students are a psychology major at one point, yet most of them never end up with a psy degree)
2020-02-27 03:08
+1.
2020-02-27 04:57
What do you plan on doing if you're not pursuing those things then?
2020-02-28 07:00
Forensic psychology/criminology.
2020-03-23 21:41
Look at the amount of fix teams threads here, it seems most people can't (or don't want to fix) their own life but like to give advices to others. :D And who is mentally stable nowadays anyway? )
2020-02-27 05:04
The majority of people

Read up on J. Krishnamurti. People have subconscious contradictions in their thinking, and because they survive in a wealthy society _anyway_, they have no need to repair/update/correct these contradictions. They stumble into situations where they feel they have no options, they feel stuck or they feel that nothing works, and that is when they must face the contradictions. If not brought aware of these contradictions, they will continue their path until too neurotic to continue, or end up in places they really wouldn't have preferred.
