LOTR was way better but to be fair the hobbit was for kids and they tried to stretch it out as long as possible
2020-02-28 19:22
i haven't read the books so idk about the hobbit being for children

I felt alot of scenes were for children tho
2020-02-28 19:25
i was in the middle of rewatching of LOTR 2 but i stopped 5 minutes in cuz frodo keeps crying like a lil bitch everytime he has screen time. i prefer the lightheartedness of the hobbit than that shit..
2020-02-28 19:39
I can tell that you're a man with no appreciation for c0ck. Pity. Sad. But completely expected.
2020-02-28 19:41
nah man i'm straight
2020-02-28 19:42
I mean it was written in like 1932 kids weren't exactly as pathetic back then as they are now, like back then you didn't get people in university saying they shouldn't be taught about ww2 because it's triggering and obviously it's got to be in the same universe and on the same kind of path but yeah it is a lot more tame it wasn't bad but I think it could have been done better
2020-02-28 19:28
It's literally, a children's book. LOTR was for the audience that read the Hobbit and grew up. Character development, deeper storyline, etc.
2020-02-28 19:51
damn i didnt know the hobbit was first
2020-02-29 01:16
Ahmed if you were literate you would know the Hobbit is a kids book

Just pressed the wrong one holy shit calm down
2020-02-29 01:57
Yeah that's why they kind of keep violence to a minimum and have more comedic scenes I can;t wait for the promised lord of the ringes series coming out I( hope they don;t ruin it with progressive crap and just stick to the original source material.
2020-02-28 19:24
they will ruin it mark my word
2020-02-28 19:55
They probably will and I'll be sad XD
2020-02-28 19:55
it will be like witcher netflix
2020-02-28 19:56
I don't think it will be that bad cuz they actually have funding
2020-02-28 19:57
money is not the problem the brain is
2020-02-28 19:57
yeah but lotr is owned by Tolkein estate and they wouldn't let them have the rights ever again if they fucked up the work

is this b8? LOTR = masterpiece Hobbit = decent yet not masterpiece the CGI orcs in Hobbit killed it for me. Way too much CGI in general actually. The real life orc makeup/outfits in LOTR looks sooo much better...

I agree, but not with # 27 about the Dragon. It is fairly true to the book and well done. I think maybe the Hobbit should be only 2 films, and the over-the-top battle scenes made more realistic. CGI was used in LOTR too, like with the wolf riders, but in a believable manner.

yes but imo, somehow the CGI in LOTR was better looking and more realistic than the CGI in Hobbit... like the Nazgul and Shelob and Smeagol/Gollum look great in LOTR, meanwhile Azog looks retarded in Hobbit and not threatening at all. maybe Jackson made the decision to make the Hobbit universe CGI look more "childlike" and fake on purpose? since it was a child's book originally? idk man...
2020-02-28 19:55
the dinosaurs in jurassic park look much better than jurassic world as well, what's wrong with film industry today??

yep agreed. apparently, the reasoning is that CGI workers have way too much work to do these days. so instead of taking their time and making high-quality CGI, they put out mediocre CGI and move onto their next assignment as quickly as possible, since the industry is too competitive. also, film industries dont care how bad CGI gets, if they keep selling massive amounts of tickets for bullshit like Marvel movies, nothing will change. it's a sad state of affairs for movies past 10 years...

Right. The CGI wolfriders in LOTR are much better and realistic looking (in their fight with Rohan), than similar riders i Hobbit.
2020-02-28 22:08
i STRONGLY agree the orcs look way more realistic in lotr compared to the hobbit, just looks way better and you can immerse yourself better

Lotr films were massively better. I enjoyed the hobbit but it was a bit too much cgi and a little drawn out

Hobbit contains too much cringe humor in my opinion. Only that master of laketown guy with his assistant alone made the movie crap.

The hobbit films were trash, insulting to the source material even in my opinion. The lotr movies are, especially in the extended versions, masterpieces. The source material is of equal quality in my opinion, books of more importance than the bible. My favourite tho, and you may call me insane for that, is and will be the silmarillion.

+1 Silmarillion is like a Bible. It's full of amazing stories. I've always wanted it to be produced.

I clearly prefer LOTR, but think Jackson handled both stories well. I like that Jackson took liberties and added things to the Hobbit story. The Hobbit book is small story followed by big battle. The Hobbit films still has the small story, but adds threads, that leads more convincingly to the big battle, and also points more clearly in the direction of LOTR. I think Jackson deliberately moved both books towards the middle, to a wider audience. Hobbit moved from small children to bigger children/more adult audience. LOTR book is very adult, but Jackson makes it more suited to younger audience.

As a die hard fan of Tolkien I'd say without a doubt lotr. Hobbit was made like lotr but the book is 10 times smaller so they wanted to squeeze out of it as much as they could. I haven't even watched the last part of hobbit because of a huge disappointment. I hope Amazon won't screw up Silmarillion and since it's gonna be the most expensive series so far. Keep my fingers crossed for that.

Hobbit was written as a children's book. LOTR was more focused for teens and adults. Honestly, pretty obvious which is better.

I'm actually reading lotr right now. Finished Hobbit last year. Took me forever. Lotr is taking even longer. As soon as I was done with book 2 I was like wtf, how is there still 600 more pages to the story when frodo and Sam are already in Mordor. Now I'm on book 3, and holy shit. I thought the fight against Shelob was legendary, well when Merry and Ewoyne fight the king Nazgul, holy shit that's something else. God tier book. I was actually thinking of posting the few pages on here for whoever wanted to read it, maybe I still will idk. But holy shit. What an amazing author.
2020-02-29 01:54
all this books are for noob, homo, prodka , navi , astralis , vita ,g2 , mibr and other trash fans cya
2020-02-29 02:44
Lord of the Rings for sure. Are you talking about the books right? LOTR is much more dense and deep. The Hobbit it's just Tolkien's kid story for his children. Even deeper than The Lord of the Rings is The Silmarillion, but IMO isnt good as LOTR.
