Postponed. Won't take place in May and June. Stupid decision to shut schools IMO.

exams to be held between July-October, the situation in the future will determine when exactly

It's still unclear the plans but given the fact the government are changing their plans every day i wouldn't rule anything out. This is from BBC website on today's statement: The education secretary in England has said A-Levels and GCSE exams this year, in May and June, will not go ahead. That seems to indicate there will be no actual physical exams taking place either in Northern Ireland, as the exam regulators across the UK have to act together. But to be clear, there will still be grades awarded for GCSEs and A-Levels. So there will be no exams but there will be results. What we don't know is exactly how those results will be awarded yet. To me that could mean two things which have been circulated this past week 1: The exams will take place during the summer, this will be a logistical nightmare and may not even be possible, considering the lockdowns could still be active during July and August. Pupils cannot sit exams later than this, due to the fact they will likely be moving onto further education or employment, and without results some aren't possible. You cannot put someones life on hold for a year over an exam. 2: The Mock exams which took place will be counted towards the final mark, along with recommended mark from the pupils teachers, combining them to create an average overall mark This is probably the fairest way to do things, maybe not fair at all in some cases, such as my niece who is sitting her GCSEs this year, she has really studied hard this past 6 months and was 100% set to make improvements on her mock exam results.
