2020-03-26 01:12
You can't get a good PC at that price range!!?
2020-03-26 01:21
Hey! Sorry for the invasion, can't make my own threads. Could you guys give your opinion on my build I'm getting next week? TY! I5-9600K RTX 2060 Super 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz CoolerMaster ML240R Liquid Cooler Asus Prime A Z-390 BenQ XL2540 240Hz Monitor Good setup for 240 hz?
2020-03-26 01:04
Yes, it's good
2020-03-26 01:11
If you get that kind of setup, go for 32GB Ram if you can afford it. if not, the system is still great

nope. Wasnt planning to buy 32 either, just wondered why he recommended 32. Do you know of a site where I can see if my cpu will bottleneck my new gpu? Idk if i should upgrade (have now) i7 4790k - (planning to buy) rtx 2070s
2020-03-26 20:05
i apologize guys, i misread his message. 16g is more than enough lol
2020-03-26 21:50
the best way is to check youtube videos about your setup being tested in several games. they show cpu and gpu usage

Intel Core i5-9600K (Clock speed at 100%) with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (Clock speed at 100%) x1 will produce only 7.11% of bottleneck. Bro, I would recomend either getting a bit better CPU, or just get 1660 Ti and save about 100 euros (if you're buying new parts), because you will not be using your GPU's whole power. I have i5-9600k + 1660 Ti = Intel Core i5-9600K (Clock speed at 100%) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (Clock speed at 100%) x1 will produce only 0.14% of bottleneck.

The 9600K is temporary, I'm planning on upgrading to a 9700K later on. Plus, I won't even be playing other games, maybe once or twice with friends, this is solely for CSGO so bottlenecking will not be an issue, I think.

ryzen 5 3600, go for the fastest ram you can find because amd chips get an advantage with it,b450 max tomahawk (msi), go for a good air cooler, and if you probably get a h500 case from nzxt and you get 2070 super ez
2020-03-26 21:32
do not get a ryzen 1600... i would aim for the 3600, its the best for price/performance. ryzen 3600 with a gtx 1660 would be a good fit imo.
2020-03-26 01:16
why not? the technology with the 1600nm for only 80-90 bucks seems like a great price
2020-03-26 01:19
yeah its great, but if you wanna have a future proofed build just invest in the 3600 its so much more better. Also it depends. If you wanna use it for work only the 1600 should be more than enough, but if you also plan to game which i assume due to the gpu i would highly suggest you to get the 3600 instead.
2020-03-26 01:21
add 10 bucks more and you can get ryzen 7 2700, think about it men

3600 >>>> 2700 or 1600 i had the 1600 before upgrading to 3600 and there was a huge performance difference
2020-03-26 02:20
Get the fastest ram that ur motherboard can support, faster ram unleashes ryzens full power
2020-03-26 01:19
so like 3200? thats the fastest
2020-03-26 01:20
3200 is more than enough, but it also depends on the ram stick sometimes 3200 ram runs at like 3500mhz. but sometimes not...
2020-03-26 01:21
Yup, as qaine said, 3200 is more than enough
2020-03-26 01:25
imo everything over 3200 only gives you a small boost and its more expensive. So imo its not worth it at all.
2020-03-26 01:26
Exactly, those 10-20 fps won't change much when u already have like 200+++

having 3600mhz ram with my ryzen 5 3600 almost completely got rid of stutters in games, but to each their own :) do some research and you'll see 3200 is not enough for this gen of ryzen
2020-03-26 02:21
i have 3200 and i just do fine, overclocked to around 3400 tho

This. Get 3200mhz ram
2020-03-26 01:33

new games in 1080p
2020-03-26 03:17
For new games I think you should get something better.
2020-03-26 03:45
any reccomendations?
2020-03-26 17:55
I would just get the best your budget can buy
2020-03-26 18:00
> MAINBOARD: any B450 socket - maybe tomahawk or Pro VDH i got pro vdh max and i dont really like it. it got alor of features in bios but it cant run my ram at high clocks (3300+) tomahawk should be better at OC (but go for MAX version) i was surprised by b450 gaming K4 (was good at OC) and strix-f also was great (but not cheap) > RAM: 16gb of ddr4 - optimal 3000mhz just go for cheap 2x8 hynix CJR or micron E-die (most of cheap TEAM and G.skill - CJR, crucial - E-die) 3000 (15-16-16) or 3200 (16-18-18)
2020-03-26 01:40
thank you
2020-03-26 17:54
dont get the 1600, its way too old. get something newer so its future proof. and probably get some faster ram, i have a ryzen 5 1600 with 16gb 3000mhz and i kinda regret not getting more than 3000mhz
2020-03-26 02:20
He’s talkin 1600af it’s a refresh on 12nm. Basically an 85$ 2600

What do you have now? Could be that upgrading some key parts could bring a lot, saving you money and time.
2020-03-26 02:39
amd fx 8350 gtx 970
2020-03-26 03:16
bruh how do you have a fx with a fucking gtx 970, u cpu is screaming help
2020-03-26 03:21
??? the cpu bottlenecks this gpu for sure lmao.
2020-03-26 03:50
thats what I thought but I never experienced 100% CPU usage until yesterday when I tried out the new COD...
2020-03-26 17:54
maybe if you overclocked it really high then it doesnt but you need a decent/good cooling system for that.
2020-03-26 17:55
hmm dont think thats worth it, investing into a new cooling system because i'd have to upgrade my pc anyway in the next months or 1-2 years
2020-03-26 17:57
its up to you, but you can get decent coolers for 40 euros. amazon.com/-/de/dp/B00PKJ21LW/ref=sr_1_3.. i have the mentioned cooler and its more than enough. My system which is overclocked never goes above 60 degree even with prime95 running on.
2020-03-26 18:01
well I am currently running a be quiet shadow rock 2 google.com/search?q=be+quiet+shadow+rock..
2020-03-26 18:03
That should just do fine as well. Be quiet also has good psus.
2020-03-26 19:45
yup but I dont think I need a new PSU. im running a corsair ax760 atm
2020-03-26 21:51
it sure does but it uses like 101% of the cpu.. amd fx series is TRASH
2020-03-26 18:52
I mean he said his usage was never at 100%.it was not me who said that lol
2020-03-26 19:44
i dont think u got what i meant
2020-03-26 21:43
i got what you meant. lol i was just stating this creator of this thread said that he never had a cpu usage of 100%
2020-03-26 21:43
i'm being serious with you mate, it was pretty rare that I had 100% CPU usage
2020-03-26 21:51
because when I bought it, I got it in a cheap bundle
2020-03-26 17:54
Neither part is disastrous. Look into what your motherboard is compatible with, an CPU may be possible without it costing much. And also if you do not have 8 GB of ram or more then you need to add ram. If you have 8 GB then that is not an issue on its own but it will become one. Look up your motherboard at the company that made it, make sure to look up the exact one - some motherboards come in several revisions so look out for that. What about storage. If your main drive is not an SSD then making it an SSD wil make your machine feel a lot faster, however do note it will not bring more FPS as it will only make starting programs and loading in programs go quicker.
2020-03-26 14:34
well thats the problem. I have the AMD Gaming 970 Motherboard and the best CPU i can go for is the amd fx 8370 which is definitely not worth an upgrade. Meaning I have to upgrade my Motherboard + new CPU essentially meaning new DDR4 Ram. I currently have a 250GB SSD and a 1000GB HDD and im doing good with it. no issues there. I also have 16 GB of ram. Thank you for ur comment
2020-03-26 17:53
To bad, a CPU upgrade and an SSD would have been easy. I guess your only path is then new motherboard+CPU, which then means new ram and also CPU cooler. Plus it means reinstalling Windows is pretty much a given also. The only exception I can maybe think of is if you was to go from say 1920x1080 to a 4K monitor in which case the GPU will be the limiting factor, so depending on needs the money may be better spend on new monitor + GPU.
2020-03-26 18:05
Yea I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Motherboard + CPU + RAM path, thats the simplest one for me. Reinstalling windows... better be upgrading to Win10 since I still have Win7 lol

bro either go all out when building a pc or don't build at all, 600 euro pc is not worth it get at least ryzen 3700x rtx 2070 super 16gb ram and you are set
2020-03-26 20:03
i'd go with ryzen 5 3600 and something like rtx 2060/2060 super/2070
2020-03-26 21:26
cpu - yeah get 1600 af mobo - it doesn't need a tomahawk a cheaper one should do the job since you wouldn't overclock it much anyways ram - I regret buying 16gb since I don't feel any difference with 8 but if you need it go for it gpu - buy second hand 1080 ti
