Best european food?
oBo |
Korea Moms_touch
Definitely paella. I was pretty shocked when i tasted a paella in valencia. All foods that contain tomato, potato are not real europe foods. They originated from america. Prove me wrong

You forgot to also nix pasta since that is from China, same thing with rice and green beans are from South America which makes me wonder how by your definition that paella of yours can be seen as European. Next time you want to be smart ass then make sure you have the facts.

Africa also have rice. And rice was not from south america. And i dont like greenbean i ask removal of green beans

I see you are still trying to be a smart ass. Yes, Africa also have Rice. Is Africa in Europe now? And where did I write rice come from South America. Also a Valencia Paella would contain green beans,in fact it will often come with tomatoes as well.

so because an ingredient is from another continent or country it can't be a national dish? great logic bro can tell u done some shit like gender studies
2020-03-26 17:27
1 reply
Hey that is totally not my logic, it it the logic the OP posted. I called him out his hypocrisy in making such a statement while picking Paella as the best European dish, since by his standard it can not be seen as a European dish due to containing rice, green beans and so on. To me the notion of saying the origin of ingredients determines if a dish can seen as from a location or not is silly. It is what you do with the ingredients that make them into a dish, so for example potatoes is very much part of many European dishes.

I honestly hope you are trolling since Paella is among the foods that is impacted most from other cultures. Outside of seafood, almost nothing in it originally Spanish. Everything is from abroad, it famously represents Spanish expeditions and merchanting with eastern world.
