Well this is the funny part, valves ruling is that cheating will result account banned, but people are allowed to buy new accounts and continue playing, so they dont really ban people, you are still allowed to play matchmaking etc.
Valve sponsored events though have a different ruling stating that person who has been caught cheating cannot attend. So in a way it is unclear if it was Jamppi who cheated on that account, and it wouldn't be too hard to see if same system has even accessed both accounts.
Valve would be able to clear him if they wanted to, and if that is the truth as Jamppi is stating. Its a different argument if he was the one cheating and still wanted to get a second chance.
Also its not like there is no other pros with accounts linked to them that has vac bans etc but valve does nothing on those.
All in all, Jamppi had a stream yesterday saying they are not even looking to sue valve, they have had 0 responses from Valve when they have tried to contact them and this is a way to just get them to have a talk.
Now that we know that Valve has never responded anything stating that he cannot play in the first place it is highly possible that they will investigate the situation and if it is like Jamppi claims might clear his name, allowing him to attend majors.
Overall I find it a bit annoying that they do not respond to these professionals even at any level. Its sad that no team can take the risk that the investigation is done after he qualifies to minors.
If this doesnt solve anything then his only chance is basically try to find 5 outsiders who are skilled enough to qualify without organization to the minors and then valve has to have a ruling if he can play or not.
