Probably won't happen, you wouldn't really notice the difference from 240 to 360

They paid him xD A LOTTT imagine if in 360hz release video he said that "don't buy it i don't really feel the difference"

that's true, they fucking paying him, never trust people like that unfortunately.
2020-04-01 03:14
no he did not, Nvidia just pays him to say that. You know he is sponsored by Nvidia right? Look here: youtube.com/watch?v=OX31kZbAXsA Even between 144 and 240 there is almost no difference and these guys even say that, between 240 and 360 you will not be able to tell them apart in almost every situation.
2020-04-01 10:50
i have played on 60, 120, 144 and 160hz monitors before 240hz and there is a big difference
2020-04-01 14:27
stay delusional, i don't care, even many pros still use 144 Hz screens at home, should tell you how irrelevant it is.
2020-04-01 14:29
they dont need to see to hit the headshots men, computer does it for them
2020-04-01 14:31
also funny youre telling me im delusional when i have the first hand experience with comparing them literally side by side

no. 144hz came in 2014-15. Markeloff was playing until 2018
2020-04-01 17:42
I think the word "big" is what makes your post flawed. The numbers tell a "big" difference, but in no way your eyes tell a "big" difference, I don't buy that for a second.
2020-04-01 14:56
it was immediately noticeable just by starting the game on empty server and moving crosshair. with 120hz it always felt like my crosshair was lagging behind where i was actually aiming. with old 160hz CRT monitor from 1999 that i bought online(iiyama pro vision master 510) it was better than with 120hz LCD because it had 0 input lag and higher hz but it was still sometimes hard to track enemies who are jumping around on long range. this 240hz LCD is even better than the CRT screen. it feels like how i remember fps games feeling when i was a kid, no delay at all and stable smooth movement.
2020-04-01 15:02
there is a huge difference when you go back to 144hz from 240

Did he play one controller like I did when I got my friends account out silver? Because I boosted the account to DMG using Xbox one controller and it was kinda easy.

Who cars, not even necessary to switch from 144 to 240
2020-04-01 10:38
True, i am sitting in front of a 240 Hz screen and there is almost no difference to a 144 Hz screen. But i got it for 200 bucks, so i am happy with it :D
2020-04-01 10:51
oh okay so actually what you meant to say in the other comment is that YOU cant see a difference and its not possible your brain is slow as fuck so its impossible that anyone else can see a difference
2020-04-01 14:33
imagine thinking a human brain can be to slow to process the information your eyes see, srsly dude just no...
2020-04-01 14:36
your eyes take in way more visual information than your brain can process
2020-04-01 14:39
Actually no. It's just the brain "selects" which information to process in order to save "power" for other tasks. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see parts of your sight(aka be black) unless you focus there. Choosing not to process some information is not the same as not being able to process it. Having said that, the human eye is indeed capable of tremendous visual information acquisition(something to the likes of 600 megapixels).
2020-04-01 15:05
research with professional athletes has shown that even if they are only shown a moving image for a very short time of a few milliseconds they are able to judge accurately how fast the ball is going in which direction etc. they are actually using special glasses in practice, kind of like those active 3d glasses that go black and only let light through for a very brief time, to train this ability to process this visual information correctly very quick. neurotracker.net/2018/02/27/rise-sports-.. not very technical article but it gives some introduction to the topic
2020-04-01 15:20
Not trying to act as a neuroscientist, which I'm not, I do believe human brain is capable of processing that amount of information. It's just that they train the brain not to dismiss that information. You can't train peripheral awareness if you have non. Therefore, I come to the conclusion that indeed the brain HAS the possibility to have that skill, yet it chooses not to in order to save processing power for other senses/tasks. However, I am very happy to be proven wrong by a study explicitly stating otherwise.
2020-04-01 15:30
you can also train your brains ability to see more frames, i noticed that wheni played a lot of cod, where most servers had fps limit so ppl couldnt abuse silent running etc, if you play a game for a long time with consistent frame rate your brain gets used to getting new info at that time. if you can actually anticipate on getting the information on some moment, then you can react faster to the game. you get used to the framerate and that means that you could actually benefit from getting even more information
2020-04-01 15:35
in csgo the framerate is very variable so this doesnt apply as much
2020-04-01 15:34
I can see somewhat a relation between the two games, if you substitute frame rate with hearing - you are faster to shoot when you hear someone coming to you than going out silently. But that doesn't mean the brain learnt a new skill of processing that information, it merely "prioritized" that process at the moment. However, I find it a bit off to say the brain was not able to process the information otherwise. The real deal is, though, if the brain is capable of processing all of ~600 megapixels the eyes send. And I have yet to find a study that states otherwise. It's a lot we don't know about the brain, but the indication is that it's more advanced in processing information than any computer we currently have. Making the assumption that it's not capable of processing eyes' info is contrary to every info we have atm, even if it turns out the assumption is correct.
2020-04-01 16:17
well the amount of data that the optic nerve generates is just impossible to process all of it, your brain has to learn to extract relevant information, you can never look at the "raw" picture. to approximate the raw data wyou would need a video stream of the 600MP you mentioned at 1000hz at least. the human brain has a lot of processing power but even if you used all your gray cells for vision and nothing else it would not be enough to process all this data.

Most people won't be able to tell the difference between 240hz and 360hz + you'd an insane rig to never drop under 360 fps
2020-04-01 14:28
i have 240hz and even when my framerate drops pretty low its still smoother than a screen with less hz because you are still getting the frames faster when they are available
2020-04-01 14:34
I never drop under 360 fps... but I only have 60 hz monitor LMAO. My fps is stable at 550-650 fps depending on map, but it really doesn't matter cuz my monitor can't handle it lol

175hz?
2020-04-01 15:21
yeah mens for eg some 60 hz allow oc to 75hz(like my current one) ,like that some 144hz allow oc to 175 hz
2020-04-01 16:34
ah okay, 30 free hz pretty good, i have old crt that goes to 163hz after some fiddling around in nvidia settings
2020-04-01 16:39
yeah man but even it isnt advertised as overclockable ,your monitor might support it you can check in advanced display settings
2020-04-01 16:40
i have bought 240hz screen last year and i dont want to risk breaking it, it can probably go up to 280 or so. but at 240 i dont see any frames any more so it isnt necessary.
2020-04-01 16:59
no no man,it wont break anything if its listed in supported resolutions its perfectly fine
2020-04-01 17:46
supported goes to 240
2020-04-01 17:47
and oc of 240hz is actually not so much needed since 240hz itself is a good setup

Okay so just to clear up the things. With an exception of maybe 1% of population, the maximum peak of FPS/refresh rate is 160 screens per second. The very few people can notice a difference up to 200 screens per second. We’re at the maximum with 240hz forever, it’s just a marketing strategy.

As someone using the XL2546 (240hz + dyac) I can tell you I cannot wait to see a 360Hz not by asus but by BenQ with the Dynamic Accuracy. It does make a difference even though it's a small one, if you play for the competition you will like it for sure. Don't listen to idiotic comments about one screen being better than another in 240Hz. All 240Hz TN panels are the same made by AU Optronics. The options on the screen's bios are what make it interesting which is why I chose the Zowie (great for CS/OW). One thing you got to make sure of, is to have a beast CPU when it comes out, I have a Ryzen 7 3700X for 240Hz playing + 120fps streaming, it works flawlessly, but when I'll get to 360Hz, I'll prolly need the next gen of CPUs to get 360Hz + 120fps streaming.
