I can see somewhat a relation between the two games, if you substitute frame rate with hearing - you are faster to shoot when you hear someone coming to you than going out silently. But that doesn't mean the brain learnt a new skill of processing that information, it merely "prioritized" that process at the moment. However, I find it a bit off to say the brain was not able to process the information otherwise.
The real deal is, though, if the brain is capable of processing all of ~600 megapixels the eyes send. And I have yet to find a study that states otherwise. It's a lot we don't know about the brain, but the indication is that it's more advanced in processing information than any computer we currently have. Making the assumption that it's not capable of processing eyes' info is contrary to every info we have atm, even if it turns out the assumption is correct.
