CS 1.6 was one of the most competitive games ever created. Hierarchy in events, hierarchy based on skilled and unskilled players, Hierarchy in everything. Im not nostalgic, im just saying truth. Most of u will blame me because of comments like this but noone see what is valve doing with mechanic of CSGO. They are change it slowly, and players/viewers cant see that enough good. Most of people think their time expired in CS scene (GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, shox, happy, polly etc.) but its not like that. Players that i mention like GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, shox, Happy over night became underdogs in this game, with 0 potential and destroying teams itself wherever they go. go check some clips from 2012/2013/2014/2015 where game was truly perfect.. Dont be so rude on FAZE, Vitality, Niko, shox, ZyWoo, f0rest on their inconsistent plays, its mostly of changing mechanics by valve those last 3-4 years ( since 2016). even ScreaM get fucked in this game. He was truly beast, u think player like him should eazily retired from scene like he did? Dont be so stupid, players like him retired and we got products like espiranto, nooky, yekindar, bubzkij, acor, rez in the scene who just used their momentum and i must watch that shit on now, begging for sponsors, destroying teams etc. dont get me wrong, but every true player should know this. I dont expect new generations to understand me, but this is the truth. Valve slowly did what they want, bring new generation players like ISSA, cooper, hunden, acor, yekindar on streams while talents like Polly,ScreaM,Happy,Smithz,f0rest,GeT_RiGhT etc. get away from this.

there's also a thing called motivation and age

Kazakhstan team_k23
okay. You are right. What about example - Gambit winning major - disband. C9 winning major - disband. Avangard second placed major team - look them. fnatic winning major - disband next year in 2016 What the fuck is that playing, u winning biggest event or being 2nd placed and u suck in the next 12 months. I dont know what type of skill is that ?
2020-04-03 23:39
there's also a thing called "fluke", which means that you OVERPERFORM for a certain period

from when u play/follow CS? i expect honest answer.
2020-04-03 23:42
2016, and if you disagree with Gambit, C9, AVANGAR, ENCE being a fluke then you are either baiting or just living in the past...

u are new generation, mhm. understood it. What u played before CSGO ?
2020-04-03 23:47
1.6, Source (a lot of source), Minecraft and WoT why? I'm just stating facts

u know word "constant"? If u know it, can u find in CSGO?
2020-04-04 00:28
yes - Astralis, Liquid, fnatic, many other teams
2020-04-04 01:03
Kazakhstan team_k23
about astralis and liquid ok, but fnatic? u must bait about that.
2020-04-04 01:50
compared to the teams you mentioned... they are pretty stable
2020-04-04 01:52
Kazakhstan team_k23
Ofcourse they are stable when gambit, c9 are death, avangard is infront of crashing. fnatic is something like OG is right in moment. OG is perfect example how much csgo has problems.
2020-04-04 02:00
well on the other hand this is online CS... such upsets wouldn't happen on LAN you know MIBR wouldn't win a single map on LAN but yeah, you kinda have a point, but I don't think it's 100% correct
2020-04-04 02:45
Kazakhstan team_k23
my friend, i dont want to be rude but im talking about last 2-3 years.. i took OG for example. they come from nowhere, they won somehow over top1 team, they lost somehow from top100 team :D
2020-04-04 02:51
Well, yeah, it sounds like bs, but OG probably anti-stratted G2, mouz, and when they faced a team like VP, they were lost since they didn't know what to do against VP... But again, you don't see this on LAN that often
2020-04-04 03:29
Don't shit on my MIBR plz thank you.
2020-04-05 22:22
Ok sorry mens)
2020-04-06 07:30
Winning vs staying at the top are 2 very different things :) CS GO is also a lot more role based and team oriented compared to 1.6. The whole team has to be very much on-point to keep winning in GO. 1 person has much more of a potential to spoil a good team compared to 1.6 if they have a bad day / week / event.
2020-04-04 04:52
Kazakhstan team_k23
U know why players much has to be on point? because 1-2 clueless fuck from enemys team are getting aug, scout and he is done even they are less skilled. Its same for all weapons (deagle, CZ). Go kill someone in CS 1.6 with deagle, aug, scout like u do in CSGO. u cant. About bombs in GO, when they hit i have feeling it noone hurting (HE Grenade) . In CS 1.6 when u grenade its fucking hiroshima near enemys either is flash or he. Thats why csgo is role based, because you are stressed even enemy doesnt have money. in CS 1.6 before 2 days I tryied to kill guy with glock and deagle (he has ak), it was pure skill to take him out from distance. In csgo not always but almost its not that hard
2020-04-04 05:37
+1 agree CS GO competitive landscape is also way different which is why there are so mediocre pro / semi pro teams - which I agree with. The top pro scene is practicing internally and scrimming top teams (like it used to be) and everyone below that is just playing FPL games all day - pugging.. That dynamic right there is just eroding the whole competitive landscape from the bottom up. The whole focus around playing with your team is dead because people just think they can "fastrack" the pro scene by pugging and focusing on themselves - which just breeds mediocre players overall.
2020-04-04 06:17
Kazakhstan team_k23
+1 good conclusion. Glad u understood what i wanted to say. I've played CS 1.6 with bots 2 years, amateur level 3 years, semi-pro 5 years and i never entered between proffesionals even i was beast because local/state competition was too damn hot. Now players who never touched CS, are becoming proffesionals with 2 years experience.

its true. even he got fired in Mad Lions because of his success as IGL, placing team on 11th place. for what ? because of suckers like bubzkij, acor wanted that just like it.

I havent realized this untl now, of course there are another factors like motivation, age, time spent etc. but Valve really slowly made csgo full of average pro players. As you mentioned years 2013-2016 were probably the most competitive and full of quality teams because not everyone could be pro player and some teams still fought with making money ou of it. If the haters come then ask yourself if you remember many quality top matches on final stages last 3 years without mentioning Astralis and you can count all of them on both hands sadly. Good point my friend.

glad u got the point, u wrote it well. I wrote with examples thats why it took much more words, but u said it perfectly.
2020-04-04 02:06
2012-2015 perfect? lul cz op and noob tec-9 noobiest gun ever just run and click ladder bug shit hitbox awp op af winning both pistol rounds = 99% a win map majors was bo1 groups and always the good teams got stacked on same group. and many many other bug breaking games the game had. to be honest valve is removing rng of the scene, now good teams stay on the top for much longer and is hard to get there. now krieg meta is shit but nostalgia is just blinding you.
2020-04-04 03:48
+1 yeah wtf is he talking about 2012 csgo was dogshit so unbalanced
2020-04-04 04:49
Kazakhstan team_k23
CZ OP? yes because it had 24 bullets. Tec9? It was pistol, not gun like AUG shit hitbox? are u sure? my friend? awp op af? because recquired skill? winning both pistols round = won match? What u expect, from when u play cs? 2016? All cs players know if u win 2 pistols round its almost won match Majors was bo1 groups and always the good teams got stacked on same group. and many many other bug breaking games the game had? i do not remember games like that, i know teams like NiP, fnatic, Virtus. pro, LDLC, LGB, clan Mystic, mousesports, LC who showed us great plays and matches Game had bugs like overpass boost and etc but never sucked. About nostalgia maybe you are right, but im sure at one : valve fucked CS, and made average scene with average players. (not all).
2020-04-05 20:08
-cz was like a mini ak -tec-9 was op and noob, 100% rng gun back then. -also p250 could kill with one hs, was disgusting af. -hitbox was worse -awp was like scout on speed but 1 hit kill, even easier than now, pasha was top3 using awp LUL -winning both pistols back then = 6-8 free rounds, now the max you get is 4 rounds, and the second round after pistol still a 50-50 round. -bo1 groups were unfair, sometimes good teams droped and teams like flipside got legends.

I agree what you said about Tec-9 and hitboxes. That gun ruined a fucking major final. allu's shot was a hit but volvo didn't repeat the match.

watch at 0.25 speed. you'll see allu was standing. and awp nerf wasn't come out back then so even allu was moving, it must be a kill.

did u looked simple hit v astralis ? It was today, it happened again. believe me. on dust2. same weapon everything same.

csgo has a hitbox problem since it's release. but the thing is, epl is online and esl one katowice is lan. that's why I'm complaining about hitboxes. sadly, csgo's hitboxes still not great.

Kazakhstan team_k23
-bo1 groups were unfair, sometimes good teams droped and teams like flipside got legends. hahaha now ? winstrike and avangard are reaching finals - -hitbox was worse? hahaha just find s1mple v astralis ( todays matches ) and then talk about hitboxes. -awp was like scout on speed but 1 hit kill, even easier than now, pasha was top3 using awp LUL - pasha was master with awp in CS 1.6 ? what the fuck u underrated pasha ? pasha was father in CS moron. New generation with stream made him looking as retard. u dont know pasha dont talk shit -cz was like a mini ak - ok this, maybe. i cant claim it. -tec-9 was op and noob, 100% rng gun back then. yes was op, it recquired a lot of skill also -winning both pistols back then = 6-8 free rounds, now the max you get is 4 rounds, and the second round after pistol still a 50-50 round. its normal winning match when u got 2 pistol rounds. use your brain logic damn it bro, when u started to play CS ? enjoy in watching espiranto and company now, while talents like happy, niko.america, shox are tier3 or retired

Everyboyd knows that Esport at that time was a bubble. This might seem great, but is not economically feasible for TO. And just like that the mostly NA Cyberleague collapsed at some point and thats why NA is /was so bad at Esport.

Still WALKING/RUNNING animation WAY WAY BETTER that CS:GO... Still running with too wide placed legs and that's looking so ridiculous, low quality and absurd. Never player source by that reason somehow they broke animation and never fully recovered.

IMO, this kind of tournament isn't good at all. These showdown lans with audience in group stages makes it look like some game show instead of CS:GO.
2020-04-04 18:21
game casted through 3rd person all the time yikes

Thats kinda impressive

Counter Strike 1.6 is another legendary FPS game very famous for 8x-9x gamers, this game is always an idea when players want to find the feeling of "old days". Recently a website has brought CS 1.6 back and turned it into an online game, and more interesting is that players can play games through the Web browser without having to install the game on the device, yes can say is very convenient.

Hi, sorry I can not create a new thread, I will write here if possible... I play CS 1.6 about 15 year or more (but I did not play last 2 years) and always play with AWP. but I never searched best setting for my playing style, I have this question, what is good value for mouse sensitivity option or how to calculate? I always played and play with 4.1. also how to find out this mouse settings and what they are: eDPI DPI Polling Rate Zoom Raw Input
2020-04-08 23:32
update: I find my mouse DPI and it is 1200.
