1.2 million concurrent plays recently so dead
2020-04-04 08:38
kinda dead in principle though, used to be a skill based game. Now it's aimed at being easier for new players to pickup so you can just run and gun with everything lmao
2020-04-04 08:40
Just untrue. In many ways CS:GO is harder to master than CS:S. Yes smg's are easier to use and more effective, but that was just balance decision. And it's not that CSGO became easier over the years since 2012.
2020-04-04 08:44
comparing csgo and css lmao. that's where the noob coddling was at its worst with headshot hitboxes the size of a beach ball. all the great players stayed with 1.6 until the end while tier2 trash played css to inflate their ego in a pool of low skill players.
2020-04-04 08:58
Agreed, i assumed NBK fanboy, so cs:s player. should not compare csgo with cs:s indeed. Point is people cry csgo has been made easy for noobs, but the fact is that never really happend. it's easier to enjoy for newbies sure but nothing wrong with that
2020-04-04 09:32
hmm and remind me... what happened to 1.6 once CSGO was released and got the initial bugs and issues taken care of...? Your own argument supports the things he said. Be careful next time
2020-04-04 11:08
That is WAAAAAY different. Only counter strike can replace counter strike, which it did.
2020-04-04 14:35
how does that contradict anything i said?
2020-04-04 15:16
oh look a murican bot talking about something he has no clue about... funny how some of the greatest csgo players throughout time has come from source. Stfu and gtfo with your biased baby bullshit. We are past the "herp derp 1.6 gud source bad derp" days. Just gtfo.
2020-04-04 14:13
Valve stated that they started making updates geared towards making the game easier to pick up for newer players. Since 2015ish really the game has become considerably easier to play and if you don't agree with that then you're kinda silly really as that's literally what valve planned to do with their updates
2020-04-04 11:35
"Valve stated that they started making updates geared towards making the game easier to pick up for newer players." Nonsense really. The game hasnt got easier, the only reason why CSGO is more interesting for new players are new game modes, updated graphics and models, but the core game mechanics only got better, not easier.
2020-04-04 23:39
CZ, R8, nuke strafe jump removed, better running and shooting accuracy, different ammo sound when you near the end of your clip there are plenty of things that are now in this game that proves its easier. And no I'm not making anything up, valve satated this on one of their updates, feel free to go and find it but I'm not doing my research for you.
2020-04-07 01:08
"feel free to go and find it" lol, that's not how it works. You state something, then back it up with a source. I already know that Valve never said anything about making the game easier for noobs.
2020-04-07 11:08
I'm not going back through years of blog posts from valve because you've got a shit memory. Nice try though

1106559 I've been around since it's release mate, you clearly haven't and that's the reason I'm in a position to make a contribution to this point and you aren't. Since its release, valve have publically stated around 2014/15 that updates were geared towards making the game easier to pickup for newer players so I don't really see how you can say I'm wrong
2020-04-04 11:23
If you don't believe me look at things just as simple as removing the strafe jump on nuke
2020-04-04 11:31
I've been playing csgo since 2015, just because my hltv acc doesn't say it doesn't mean I haven't lol. The game has revolved around skill and precision since then and hasn't changed much besides the krieg and updated maps, while they have removed things that make it easier for noobs (such as jumping scout imo) the game has remained about precision, cs still isn't a very noob friendly game, it still takes thousands of hours of practice to feel comfortable about your game sense, movement, and aim
2020-04-04 18:51
if it takes you thousands of hours of practice to feel comftorable in cs then that just proves you haven't got a clue mate nt
2020-04-07 01:13
Youre not understanding my point, and rather just trying to argue with me.
2020-04-07 01:35
Your point is irrelevant because when you started playing csgo is when valve had already started making the game easier which is why you don't see it from the space perspective.
2020-04-10 12:14
True megamind out here You’re literally pulling statements out of your ass, no updates in 2014/2015 made the game easier, provide examples
2020-04-10 14:35
added the r8 increased all moving inaccuracy with pistols (good thing) and then removed it about a week later decided spraying was too hard so made it impossible to promote tap shooting (big lol) - was also removed again but that isn't the point edit: New update: Increased jumping accuracy for the deagle and armour pen for the bizon deffo making it harder there lmfao
2020-04-11 08:53
R8 got nerfed after a week, that was a fuckup, but you cant say that made the game easier because it got nerfed quickly Also, as far as I know, the moving inaccuracy of pistols is still there (just slightly better than before) if anything removing the spraying run and gun capability of the tec-9 and five seven was something that hurts noobs if anything because that was some bullshit back then. Jumping accuracy for the deagle is actually a questionable change, and as far as the bizon goes, nobody is going to use it anyways
2020-04-11 12:02
pistol inaccuracy might have been readded later on, but it was reverted in the same update as the r8 was changed
2020-04-11 17:48
"Since its release, valve have publically stated around 2014/15 that updates were geared towards making the game easier to pickup for newer players" You're making that up
2020-04-04 23:43
I'm just not though, feel free to do some research.

I hope so. CS need to lose interest, otherwise they'll keep the same shit for 10 years more. They could at least start cleaning up cheaters, would be good to start on the "pro" scene tho. There are a couple of players who need some investigation. Wardell indeed is playing full on cocaine or wall, there's no in between.

Nothing is ever hard to hack, even valorant with their claims to better anticheat will be a hacker paradise. They claim ML and anticheats from the beginning which is pure marketing as cs has them both for over years now

youre right machine learning at the start is marketing or dangerous 3rd party chinese ML that will ban 1000 legit players however go try and find league of legend cheats - not easy .. also limited variety, valorant will use the same ac
2020-04-04 10:18
League doesn't have cheats like CS because mobas are fundamentally different than FPS. I mean just compare dota 2 with csgo. If it was just a case of valve being shit then you'd see just as many cheating complaints in dota 2. It's easy to block maphacks because you can store that info serverside with no detriment to gameplay. Zoomhacks exist, but they're not hard to detect for obvious reasons. Now. name a single FPS in the past 20 years that has had an uncrackable AC. There's really no reason to believe Valorant will be this unicorn that no one saw coming. You can't just store player locations serverside without sacrificing precision. It's just not even in the same ballpark.
2020-04-04 10:32
MOBAs have cheats as well. Classical is a maphack could you compare to Wallhack. Other stuff is a script for using autocast for nice combos etc could you compare with an aimlock in csgo. Disconnect hack so your enemy drops from the server etc. When you say there are no cheats than you are a noob.
2020-04-04 10:48
Where did I ever say there were NO cheats? Read again. I said LoL doesn't have cheats like CS does. There are WAY more cheaters in CS than in LoL. It's not even a matter of opinion.
2020-04-04 10:49
And I said you can compare this cheats I mentioned with csgo cheats.
2020-04-04 10:50
I'm aware of the cheats. If anything you should reply to the guy I replied to since he's the one who thinks LoL has a "limited variety" of cheats. There is simply a higher amount of people using cheats regularly in CSGO compared to LoL. I never even once insinuated that LoL was cheat-free.
2020-04-04 10:52
And where do you get your information about how many people cheat in LOL and in CSGO? or is this just an assumption?
2020-04-04 10:53
It's pretty fucking obvious when one game has an entire first party matchmaking system that is literally unused at a high level because of how awful the cheating problem is. Honestly tell me how common you think cheaters/scripters are in high ELO LoL.
2020-04-04 10:54
Pro players don't use much MM cuz it isn't high enough. CSGO would need at least 4-5 more ranks at the top level. So a S1mple doesn't play vs Anton from Kazakstan who get boosted by friends. FPL gives that. Has nothing to do with cheaters.
2020-04-04 10:57
I honestly don't know why you're replying to me. None of what your posting to me has any relevance. All these posts because you misunderstood my post :|
2020-04-04 11:02
nope. Your assumptions are wrong cuz you ignore the variables. And I answer to this. If this isnt relevant for you okay, but then you aren't smart
2020-04-04 11:22
You commenting in the first place came from YOUR assumption that I thought there were no cheats in LoL when I clearly didn't think that. Read you own post (#46). There was literally 0 reason for you to reply that to me. Your post only makes sense when you reply that to the guy who literally claims that LoL has a limited amount of cheats.
2020-04-04 11:25
He gets the information on how the games are developed. You can't possibly compare the two. FPS games send enemies' information to client, even if they are not shown on screen, for optimization reasons. That's where cheats come from. MOBAs don't do that because there is no actual gain in doing so. There is no way an FPS game doesn't send information that should be hidden and still work fine. Even now, you get model prediction and interpolation which ruins the game and you already store all the information in your computer. Imagine waiting 50ms for the server to send the information that a player has appeared in your screen - totally unplayable. The difference is that scripting and cheating is fundamentally different. Cheating is altering a program's instructions to gain an advantage, scripting just does what a perfect human would be able to do. And you can easily track if someone is scripting with a little bit of knowledge - cheating is a very different thing.
2020-04-04 11:07
>name a single FPS in the past 20 years that has had an uncrackable AC cod4, dedicated private hosted servers with punkbuster automated cheat detection + admins personally banning cheaters 24/7 and adding them to shared blacklists between servers. there were hvh servers where all the cheaters could play, there were pro servers with good players where you could maybe get away with some closet walls but get banned for being blatant, which made it possible for legit players to compete in almost cheat free environment, and then there were noob servers where you would get banned just for smurfing on them. it was perfect. problem is, you cant make a lot of money from a game after you give people the server hosting application and the map editor. valve wants to sell shitty skins and operations. and make money by selling cheaters new prime accounts every 3-6 months. its all about the money.
2020-04-04 10:58
"+admins personally banning cheaters 24/7" So it didnt have an uncrackable anti-cheat then. You said it yourself
2020-04-04 11:06
the admins were the primary anti cheat. the automatic anti cheat just banned the spinbotters etc. the best anti cheat is manual anti cheat. you cant hack it.
2020-04-04 11:12
Manual banning is also susceptible to bias and error. And if there's a scene with enough money/incentive, then people can be bribed. I don't consider manual banning as a viable form of anticheat. It might've been acceptable for CoD4 - especially since the pro scene in that game was tight knit. Plus, the bigger a game gets, the less viable manual banning gets. I think my point that no FPS has had a cheat-free environment stands. There's no reason to think Valorant will be different.
2020-04-04 11:21
well i mean yeah if you want to pay several admins a lot of money just to let you cheat on servers for 1 community then i guess you could do it but at least it would cost a lot more than just buying a new csgo prime account every few months
2020-04-04 11:47
Ah yes, Manual banning would always work great. Could you imagine CSGO Matchmaking handing out manual admin bans? What about Siege Matchmaking? Literally any FPS really Manual banning isnt viable and can only work on Community servers where it really doesn't even matter if you get banned. In a competitive ranked game, the only servers that really matter are the ones that contribute to your rank, and to manual ban on those would be fucking impossible and stupid.
2020-04-04 11:39
there should be different communities with servers for different skill levels, with admins checking that there arent people smurfing, banning cheaters, these communities can have their own ELO system. ranked online matchmaking is always a nest of cheaters, its the perfect environment for them, they can be anonymous and cheat against different people every game and nobody is watching them. matchmaking itself is the problem.
2020-04-04 11:42
for example faceit where people literally pay to play games on their servers should have admins actually spectating games when captains message them about cheaters in their games instead of responding "send support message"
2020-04-04 11:43
Enjoy getting banned from half the communities because the admins are low-skilled and assume anyone who can hit a double HS is a cheater As happens in all fps games. For example when ESEA used to hand out bans and revoke them a week later back in 1.6/source
2020-04-04 12:47
well if you get banned from a server and youre not cheating then you shouldnt be smurfing on noob servers and go to servers for good players where the admins are also good and dont ban you for playing well
2020-04-04 13:55
In addition to that, What do you do when an entire community and even other pro's believe that another pro is cheating, as was the case for flusha back in 2014/15? To have actually handed out a ban on him despite any proof whatsoever would have had HUGE impacts on the competitive scene, even though players like Shox and Hiko believed he was cheating. Whos judgement is to say?
2020-04-04 12:51
well if it was my decision then LANs would have proper anti cheat measures, to prevent guys like flusha, or Niko, from plugging in USB drives into PC's on stage at major LANs: youtu.be/JyDGFSBsxLE?t=261 there would be metal detectors that every player has to go through to get on stage, they would all get new hardware from the factory, and the only thing they would be able to reach are a monitor and mouse and keyboard, PC's should be put below the stage and any USB ports on monitor or keyboard should have the wires to these ports physically cut so they cannot be used. the PC's the LANs are played on also obviously should not in any way, direct or indirect, be able to access the internet. the router handling the LAN game should not even be connected to the internet. all these measures would have negligable cost compared to the existing costs of organizing an event and paying out the prize pool. then when you have a secure hardware and software environment its simply impossible to cheat. then flusha can just end his career, keep his money he made with fraud, valve gets away with it too, and the cheating on LAN can stop. thats what i would have done if i was valve. online cheating, organisation needs admins whose only job it is to collect evidence like POV replays from players and ban cheaters. but best solution is to not have online leagues at all. if people can play on their home computer they are going to be able to cheat, you cant stop it.
2020-04-04 14:05
Why it's harder to cheat in moba's is because they're very less client sided
2020-04-04 16:21
they've some stuff which valve doesn't have. Something called hardware anticheat.
2020-04-10 14:48
I think they should buy Faceit's anti cheat lol.
2020-04-10 14:50

CS has one very simple advantage. If friends can't decide what they want to play COD, this game or CS. They will always choose CS. Cuz it is simple, fair, nobody has an advantage all have the same circumstances and you have maps for every kind of guy. + ist is from Valve aka steam and now f2p. Why should I spend my 10 hours csgo instead with another game? Cuz it makes more fun? Like Overwatch all hyped for a half year now, many people uninstalled it... Very important is that you want to play the game even after 2 years break and nothing than CS deliver that. No MOBA, No card game, no COD, no BR Game. You in these games and play them or you out and don't touch them again. CS can have a break during the summer and you start it in winter again.

Another garbage ripoff from Riot. First they make a simplified Dota clone with League and now they're doing the same with CS.
2020-04-04 11:29
and yet that dota clone killed their competition in terms of being the bigger e-sport game, lmao
2020-04-07 11:14
hah she can kill only u self

I don't understand with people are hating both games will live together. What disappoints me about Valorant is the movement and it seems like it will be more tactical than CS which will be shit to show case skill.
2020-04-04 11:43
the one good thing about valorant is that it has a low TTK, imagine if apex legends had a low TTK it would have been a godly game
2020-04-04 11:43
even if valorant succeeds, that doesn't mean it will kill csgo, they can live together like dota2 and lol

No it won't but both games will be the most popular.Riot knows what to do with their games.
