i still dont see the logic behind it.
Astralis loses 1st map, and dupreeh plays like shit.
Can they use estag as substitute for the 2nd map, or they need to present players before game that will play until the end?
i never saw how 6 man roster team operates.
No they are not. They won't be allowed to switch while in game from what i understand. It's just so if one of them get's sick or can't play they have a stand in so Zonic doesn't have to take a 1v1 against simple at blast for example. I also hope to see them just have a new "5 man roster" for different tournaments.
Hope this helps :))
They are trying out new ways to play cs. Now they can always have a stand-in for example plus they can have a player be ready for any moment needed. Needless to say i think it's gonna be difficult in the start but i think they will figure it out and use it well
It's a 6 man roster.
But the first to leave will be Dupreeh. Declining stats. Advancing age.
Still a first ballot hall of famer. If we had American style sports hall of fames in CS.
edit - He's actually 27 now. Good on him for even going at the level he is playing at.
And who knows maybe those famous Astralis foot massages will give him a couple more years.
No one goes.
They'll just rotate players in between tournaments. Afaik Dev1ce is one of those players who has a really rough time with jetlag (probably due to that stress-related stomache condition he has) and I could see him stay home if they attend tourneys in Asia or Australia. And since es3tag can fill just about any role (perhaps not IGL as good as Gla1ve or clutch like xyp9x) he's still very versatile and a hard worker from what pro's say about him. So he can learn a lot.
Next one to "leave" Astralis is probably more like zonic stepping down as a coach and getting a GM or analyst role within the org.
