Vanguard is actually installing a driver in the Kernel ring 0 of your PC. It's a rootkit leaving an open backdoor to RIOT with completely full access and control on the machine (even the hardware management).
When people were not completely brainwashed and numb such things used to be considered malware, hacks, etc ... But a company ruled by Chinese Communist Party executives managed to make people swallow the pill with a free cartoon shooter along the rootkit.
Also important to know, that thing is running on startup even if you don't play, and it's communicating with the outside without your consent. Nobody can know what info and data it's collecting and sending to RIOT/Tencent. And moreover suspicious, once you uninstall the game the rootkit remains, and keeps working and communicating!
This last point is what makes me think that Valorant is not the product Riot tried to sell, it's just a way to make us install their trojan horse deep down into our PC.
And the clown fiesta continues when seeing that the AC, despite having the highest level of access and control, can't see obvious software not even running background allowing players to cheat hard.
