LIQUID Fix

-nitr0 +grim Nitro has been in the org for 5 years and hasn't had a breakout performance yet. Hardly goes over 1.0 rating, No MVPs, no stellar story, nothing. If anything, he's been pretty much a complete bot the last 2 years. Why the hell is this guy still on the roster? Stewie is also a debatable topic as well, as his form is so iffy lately he really needs to reinvent himself (which I think he can).

I think you have to question performances like that whenever the AWP is involved and ask how much of it is just the weapon being really powerful. Overpass in particular can be such an easy map for AWPing if you have good teammates around you who use flashes correctly to support you. Realistically, Liquid could probably give the AWP to Stewie2k or anyone on that map and see equal or even better performances, if the support setup stays the same. Nitr0's performances on the old version of Cache were far more legit in my opinion. He used to get so many multi-kills hard entrying onto bombsites, just ripping peoples heads off with a rifle.

Can't be worse than Nitro, he doesn't even do all the calling, NAF has helped him and others have called on the side as well. The thing with liquid is, they never needed the best calls they have the firepower to make plays off picks.
2020-04-16 22:16
You want naf, the second best player on the team, to become the igl, which almost always either lowers their individual performance or lowers their teams performance? Good idea dumbass.
2020-04-16 23:08
+1 stewie should igl. he already mid round calls and has igl'd before
2020-04-16 23:10
Id be interested in a role shuffle. Moving nitro to primary awp and Stewie to igl would be interesting to see

Another alternative would be ELiGE IGL. Hes actually really smart and was calling in their valorant game. Only problem is of course him potentially not performing as well. :/
2020-04-16 23:23
Yes, do what ENCE did. That'll work out well.

Not really a star. allu and sergej were the stars. They just lost the team structure and all elements of team playing as a unit after kicking Aleksib.
2020-04-16 23:16
theres a difference. aleksib has tactics, nitr0 doesnt. -nitr0 +cerq. stewie to igl.

2020-04-16 23:20

dotesports.com/counter-strike/news/twist.. How else has Stewie bolstered up the squad, maybe with a bit of IGL-ing? He mid-round calls a lot, he calls a lot of our CT-side setups, too. On Mirage, he will AWP around a bit as well and he’s a super positive guy. Sometimes he shows a bit of frustration but we are allowing it to settle in—everyone can show a little bit of frustration, but as long as we reset and by the five-second freeze time we are all ready to play the round, we are good. He’s amazing for us and I’m happy to have someone there who is keeping everyone else up.

It sucks for nitr0 that the Cache remake turned out to be a bit underwhelming and flawed. That was his best map by far. I think at some point we need to see a shuffle with Evil Geniuses. They both had good runs last year, but lets be honest, they're spreading the NA talent a bit thin by both trying to compete for a top 3 ranking.

I wish more NA orgs would grab younger upcoming players instead of recycling the same pros.

Normally i'd agree. One of the things that pissed me off for years was how the Swedish scene kept recycling players like Draken, Lekr0 and Twist instead of trying someone new. However I think the situation in NA right now is a bit different. Liquid and EG both have players who have the potential to be top 10 in the world who have never played together. It seems crazy to me that they both think they can consistently beat Astralis when the pool of talent is divided.
2020-04-17 18:05
Grim is a great player, but to remove the igl for some up and coming star would be dumb imo
