He is 14 years old lol which means he probably hasn't worked a single day in his life and in turns means he lacks concept of what is expensive. The average wage here is 3k euro, of which around 1k euro is deducted by tax. Other expenses like rent and food accumulate to quite a bit too. Suddenly 1k euro is a lot and takes months of saving up for the average Swede to afford.
2020-05-28 21:46

I'm not very good with specs but 1k seems way more than it will be. I think I paid 400 euro for the PS4 and 700 for the PS3. And iirc the PS3 only cost that much because it came with blu ray which at the time was really expensive. I have a really hard time seeing the PS5 costing as much as the previous two versions combined.

there is nothing wrong with console. A lot of pc gamers have consoles because of exclusive games, for example
2020-05-28 20:57
yea i obviously understand the exclusive games aspect, but apart from that i dont see any benefit of having a console
2020-05-28 21:01
New console shooters are accepting mouse+keyboard (the last COD for example), then the person can play shooters online without worrying about cheaters.

It's good for watching netflix, hbo etc. Twitch sucks tho without adblock. One benefit its pretty cheap for the power, i have older pc and thus i play witcher 3 for example in ps4

Exclusives are nice and all, but after a year when the PS5 GPU isn't good anymore for max details you probably will hate it. As for exclusives, isn't sony porting some PS5 games to PC? Also no console can match the good ol' high refresh rate gaming. 60Hz is cancer.

2020-05-28 20:49
1. They give away some exclusives yes (which is kinda dick move to PS owners lol), but still a lot of good ones are there. 2. 60Hz is only cancer for fast pasts FPS and other shooters, but for RPG's (which are most on PS) it's more than enough. 3. As for me I can get PS4 pro and GTX 1080 on my PC, so I still can play most games on high 1080p. and good fps.
2020-05-28 20:52
The only better-looking game I've seen than Uncharted 4 is RDR2. It's amazing what Sony developers have been doing with 2011/12 tech, right up until 2020, as I'm presuming TLoU2 and GoT will blow me away also.

A lot of games to play (PS4 and PS3 exclusives), but mainly cause in the summer I will have a lot of time to play and when PS5 comes out it will be a middle of a working period :( Also, this way I can buy cheap PS4 console and still afford good TV for it, all the games, new headsets and upgrade GPU on my PC --> profit!

Yeah if I were you I would wait, prices will likely drop in the future so there is no point in buying early when you can wait for exclusives.
2020-05-28 21:12
True. You can buy at start, they should provide all the best exclusives from previous models straight to PS5, hopefully with better graphics and fps, but it's not really clear yet.
2020-05-28 21:14
Unfortunately your ps4 games probably wont be compatible with ps5. So keep that in mind.
2020-05-28 22:15
Could be, yeah. Honestly, I'd rather buy PS4 Pro now and play all those games. Even in 30-60 fps, i'll take it. Then a year later or so, I can buy PS5 as well if it proves to be worth the money. If not, just stick to PC again. Win-win as for me.
2020-05-28 22:29
ok thanks for info
2020-05-28 20:48
Most likely I will get it. Maybe not at launch since there is so many PC games I still have to play, but if some on the PS5 is tasty enough then... As for a TV look at the OLEDs that LG makes - they are the TV brand that offers the best HDMI 2.1 support. However depending on your set up going for a big PC monitor can also be an option, you can get a 40-43" 4K for not that much money and some are pretty nice.

I was looking at LG C9 65 inch OLED, that thing is a beast and doesn't cost that much
2020-05-28 20:50
If I was to buy a 65" that exact TV could very well have been it, in fact I did wonder about it and a Sony OLED which I think is a tiny bit better for movies plus I like the Sony using the panel as a speaker. Anyway plans changed as I realized the 65" would have me compromise on how my living room is and make it into a cinema. However instead I am now pondering if perhaps I am to upgrade my current 40" 4K monitor that sits on my desk, not just yet but very soon as there is now coming 48" OLED's on the market and LG is gonna bring something to arrive in literally a couple of weeks. The idea is to make it my computer/console screen and to mount it on a flexible arm so I can move it depending on purpose. Only I do want to see a review or two first. It's this one: engadget.com/lg-48cx-4k-oled-022836116.h..
2020-05-28 21:51
Can you suggest some good monitors cause I personally don't know which are good? Also are you talking about this TV - LG OLED55B9PUA B9 Series 55" 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2019) amazon.com/LG-OLED55B9PUA-Ultra-Smart-OL.. ? I heard there is a risk of burn out on OLED TV's

I think you mean burn in. And yes, OLEDs have that risk: mainly with a lot of static content. The way I use the tv, I'm at a high risk to get burn in which is why I went for a QLED instead. But most people won't have any issues with OLED burn ins.
2020-05-28 21:22
I actually also wanted to buy QLED for a cheaper price and less risks. Stopped on this TV (Samsung QE55Q70R TV) amazon.co.uk/Samsung-QE55Q70R-TV/dp/B07Q.. Only concern was the colors and ability to show deep black in TV shows/movies. What is your opinion man?

Netherlands HetIsPatat
Well, OLEDs are better at showing blacks than a QLED, there's no doubt about that. But for the things I do/watch on/with the tv, the blacks on a QLED are perfectly fine. I don't watch movies like The Dark Knight on a BluRay, also I am not that picky with 'perfect blacks.' And although the QLED is technically still an LCD, its colors are way better than regular LCDs from my experience. I mainly went with the QLED because: 1) I have the habit of leaving my tv on for prolonged periods of time, in which case getting an OLED just seemed reckless. 2) I use the tv a fuckton during daytime/summer, and I was worried the OLED's brightness couldn't get high enough to cancel out the sunlight. (My TV is in front of a window.) If those two weren't an issue, I would have probably gotten an OLED.
2020-05-28 22:12
Wow, that was actually really important information for me as well. You see, I also have those habits and playing a lot during daytime. Plus, I really wanted some incentives to buy a cheaper TV :D I feel like QLED can be almost perfect for Console and PC gaming and casual watching some stuff. So yeah, thanks for feedback!

Think carefully about these issues before you make a final decision: 1) Will I watch a lot during daytime? Depending on how much sun shines on your tv, an OLED might struggle with showing you a good picture. From my experience QLEDs have no issue whatsoever with direct sunlight. 2) Will I watch a lot of static content? (PC mirroring, leaving movies/series on pause, football matches, news) All of the aforementioned examples increase risk of burn in, which means QLED would be safe. But that totally depends on how many hours during the tv's lifetime you watch this type of content. For burn in examples look here: rtings.com/tv/learn/real-life-oled-burn-.. --> go down to "Uniformity Photos" and click on "week 102" and "red", you will notice how burn in can look like. But again, this is from stress testing. You will not be doing that. 3) Will I watch a lot of very dark scenes? Again, If you like to watch movies like Dark Knight or other movies/shows with very dark scenes, an OLED will probably give you a much more 'premium' experience. I was a bit chicken shit because my QLED cost me €2000, and I was not in the mood of risking fucking up my tv. Like I said, I am not so picky so I just went with a slightly 'inferior' experience compared to OLED, but no headache about thinking my tv might get fucked up.
2020-05-28 22:59
Got it bro, thank you! I see it this way.. basically, as long as dark scenes aren't ruined on QLED and still look decent enough, it will be fine by me. What about nighttime watching/playing on QLED TV? Does the experience differ to some extent or nothing really significant?

Well, on my QLED (Samsung Q9FN) I'd say it's fine to watch Netflix during the night. The minimum brightness might be too high for some, but I can live with it. But I don't watch tv past midnight, so my experience is limited.
2020-05-28 23:18
I see. It has to be fine. Maybe some demanding people could find flaws, but nothing is perfect anyway.
2020-05-28 23:22
It needs to be their C9 or CX series however those are TV's and not monitors, so they may or may not fit your purpose. And OLED is supposedly a risk only it may not be a real one with the screens there is out now. I've seen some people doing some extreme tests to test burn in and it seems to be a non issue, there is just one thing on is supposed to remember - let the OLED tv in stand by mode and not shut it off completely. Apparently the modern OLEDs will run some anti burn in routines if the electronics find it necessary and those will run automatically, only they can't run if there is no power. Still I suppose it is to be thought of as an experiment to use and OLED as PC monitor and for gaming, my thought is that if it means say 3 years with amazing picture quality after which burn in becomes an issue, the it will be worth it.

Don't listen to that guy, doesn't know what he's on about. TFlops don't tell the whole picture. Xbox has a backwards af RAM arrangement, and the PS5 has an insane SSD that even top-end PC's won't have for another year or two. It's basically an SSD/RAM hybrid and means ultra-high 4K textures can be instantly rendered without taxing the CPU/GPU.

Yeah, that SSD is insane on paper. Can't wait to see it in action.

Yeah pretty much, no point in buying XBOX even if it will perform better, the only thing I care about console is games and sony is pretty much the market leader so yeah...
2020-05-28 21:06
For sure, Xbox One had like nothing to play on it, I think now they will at least try to compete with new stuff
2020-05-28 21:11
There are certain games that just play better on console. Console: - Sport games - Racing games - fighting games - Plattformers - (Action) Adventures - some RPGs PC: - FPS - RTS - Sim games - some RPGs - point n click Adventures Exception: Halo. This will always be a console title for me. I will have a Xbox Series X and a gaming PC. And if you buy your game digitally on Xbox, you will get the PC version for free. So you can play on console, save your game and pick it up on a PC right where you left. That is pretty cool. And of course GamePass Ultimate, which is the best deal ever.
2020-05-28 21:31
Interesting actually, seems reasonable, but I'm not sure I completely get this argument ''There are certain games that just play better on console'' If you have great PC, big ass TV and xbox controllers isn't it almost the same experience, except for the fact that on PC you can have more FPS?

I have a PS4 Pro, but I usually play games from Steam on my 65" inch tv with DualShock 4 controllers. The way I do that is by using Steam Link so I don't have to run a cable from my PC to my tv. PC games will have better graphics, better performance (although there are some exceptions of shitty ports). Only reason for me to ever turn on my PS4 is for games I don't have on Steam, which are mainly Playstation exclusives.
2020-05-28 23:01
Yeah, that is exactly what I mean. Good PC + superb TV and controller is the best experience for non-exclusive games. Even 1080p games can be improved with a 4K HDR TV a bit.
2020-05-28 23:18
Well, if a friend comes over, would you play Fifa on PC? You are sitting on your gaming chair, he is getting that folding chair out of the kitchen?! Nope, you prefer to sit in the living room and play on a 55" screen. Same for Tekken, Same for Forza Motorsports, Same for Mario, Same for Banjo Kazooie and same for Halo (in my case). Clearly you don't play CSGO or Dota on a console... Even though Halo Wars worked surprisingly good! :)
2020-05-28 23:07
Fair enough :) I mean, you could play PC games on TV as well, but only if it is in the same room and easy to set up. Other way, Console is indeed the best choice.
2020-05-28 23:25
Yeah I see your point, you can obviously play with a controller on a pc, but with a bigger screen its more fun. As for Halo, I'll end up playing it on a pc with a controller, if it turns out to be any good. Really hoping they nail it this time! And yup, gamepass is a steal especially if you just want to try something. Really happy that Xbox is bridging the gap between consoles and pc, since game exclusivity is always bad for the customer.
2020-05-28 22:28
''since game exclusivity is always bad for the customer.'' True, but then again, people would have no real reasons to buy consoles then. They are cheaper - yes, but in return you get more expensive games, worse graphics and less fps, which is a big price to pay. Need to compensate those issues with something.
2020-05-28 22:41
I disagree, even without exclusives consoles will sell because of their ease of nature. and low price points. Makes them perfect for students and families. Just look at Xbox, they have barely any good exclusives (which of most are on pc), and they are selling "all right" (heard they have over 10 million game pass subscribers). Exclusives are there to win the competition, even if they would still make money from the games itself. Exclusives force customers to pick and buy consoles not because of their features, but because of their exclusivity of games. I'd be mad if I had to buy a new Xbox just to play Halo, and for nothing else. I have a hard time thinking about any good things for customers coming from exclusive titles. But I admit to owning a Switch for Zelda and other exclusives, even though I emulate older games, playing newer Nintendo first party games on pc would feel pretty weird :D.
2020-05-28 22:54
Good points, you actually changed my mind a bit. I mean, I would still feel salty if I bought right now PS4 and later on all exclusives were ported to PC as well, cause I would better just buy new PC you know ;) And ofc I find buying console for 1 or 2 exclusives only is a waste of money. As for Nintendo, I also played on PC emulater their newest Zelda: Breath of the Wild and must say the game is really fun. Good job for the guys who created CEMU emulator and made it possible. Almost feel ashamed that I play it for free.
2020-05-28 23:40
shouldnt you wait for them to announce it with price, games etc before you decide?

I have like extra 3000 euros to spend and I always wanted a console because of exclusives so yeah.... And after hearing the news that PS5 specs will be much better and much faster than PS4 I pretty much knew that it was the right time to buy a console plus I have a pretty empty wall in my apartment so here is that :D
2020-05-28 21:04
You could just buy a ps4 right now with a BUNCH of great exclusives and play them asap.

Wait you can't play ps4 games on ps5 ?
2020-05-28 21:13
I dunno, they havent said so atleast. Maybe.
2020-05-28 21:16
They said most of PS4 games will be available, but maybe not all of them. What about PS3 tho hmm, it also had really great games.

Interesting, this hits hard as a PC gamer. I thought you could play all games :D We'll see.
2020-05-28 21:19
Yeah, it's a shame that for some reason they limit amount of games.
2020-05-28 21:23
At least best exclusives are surely will be there no doubt.

It would be dumb move on their part. You can read more to be sure tho.
2020-05-28 21:23
they said almost all games will work on ps5 and the top100 most played will get optimizations from the start, then after they will releasing patches for other games.
2020-05-28 23:44

2020-05-28 21:08

2020-05-28 21:19

2020-05-28 21:19
I don't think so. I never was in Denmark before :D And I don't remember us having some long conversations on hltv too :)
2020-05-28 21:21
i dont remember you too
2020-05-28 21:23
That's sad. But mb now we can remember each other ;)
2020-05-28 21:24
how are you today kid?
2020-05-28 21:24
Pretty good until I saw Na'Vi game vs ENCE :D Now just watching some stuff in YouTube. What about you?
2020-05-28 21:26
I lost gaupoints in na'vi, i feel bored because of the quarantine, I already passed witcher 3 + dlcs, now I will start witcher 2 and then will play 3 again but with the witcher 2 save)
2020-05-28 21:59
Nice game choice, I did a complete Witcher run (Witcher 1 - 3)maybe a year ago and it was worth it :) Witcher 2 may seems not that great after Witcher 3 tho, but the game and its plot are still very good. You may have some additional context while playing Witcher 3 again.
2020-05-28 22:05
yeah I saw some reviews on youtube, I will play it purely for the story, I love that universe, I'm thinking of passing witcher 1 with some mods after I do this.
2020-05-28 22:11
You can try if you don't care about graphics and combat is not great as well, but it's 2007 year game after all (I think). Funny to me were those sex cards you could collect after romancing some ladies :D The universe is great, they will make Witcher 4 as well, but with Ciri as a main character now.
2020-05-28 22:23
Graphics ain't a big problem for me, I remember reading somewhere that witcher 1 had a fantastic 1st person mod that really immerses you, I will try it when I play it, can't wait for cyberpunk as well, hope its equal or even better than the witcher 3.
2020-05-28 22:57
Yeah, I hope for that as well. CD Project Red haven't disappointed their fans yet and I believe their upcoming games will be great.
2020-05-28 23:00
Nah waste of money
2020-05-28 21:32
If you don't care about exclusives, then it is indeed a big waste.

Fair but buying a console is a more budget plan. $200 + a TV/screen that's already there, way cheaper than a decent PC :-) I love PC though, had one back home. But I'm studying abroad rn, Xbox is a compromised plan
2020-05-28 21:45
True, it depends on situation)
2020-05-28 21:47
Yeah, some people will buy whatever console they hold dear, but imo pc best option if you have the budget. You also get the few xbox first party titles with it. But there is no argument that you will get bang for your buck with a console, even if you have to pay more for games and online. Pc+Switch best combo imo :).
2020-05-28 22:37
it will cost 500-600$ and run games like a 1000$ or more pc, also you can put a keyboard mouse and play cod or other fps, much worth it.

Ive never been into single player games really and never been into consoles either, but last of us remastered and uncharted 4 seem quite interesting, will give them a go as theyre really cheap as well
2020-05-29 01:02
You should definitely try them and since the games are relatively old now, most of them are pretty cheap. Don't know many multi player games, but on console at least you can be sure that there're much less amount of cheaters :D So, there is that!
2020-05-29 01:07
Soon they will release also games like Ghost of Thusima and The Last of Us Part 2. You may like Days Gone too.
2020-05-28 22:51
Still rocking in battlefield4 with my PS3.No,thx
2020-05-28 22:43
always had a playstation for Fifa and CoD ... GTA feels better with a controller too honestly
2020-05-28 22:44
Really? Shoot with a controller probably feels weird after mouse and keyboard.
2020-05-28 22:49
actually kinda grew up with cod on consoles... so it feels more weird for me to play it with mouse and keyboard but that just counts for bf, cod and so on ... couldnt even imagine playing cs with a controller lol
2020-05-28 22:53
Yeah, that would never work in CS :DD
2020-05-28 22:54
yup :D but i dunno throwing nades in cod and scoping just feels better with the R/L buttons on a controller tho
2020-05-28 22:55
I can actually imagine that being really enjoyable as well. Didn't play too much shooters on console, but I'm planning on buying PS4 Pro and I'll need to get used to it ;)
2020-05-28 22:58
wouldnt buy a ps4 now... would actually wait for the ps5 tho
2020-05-28 22:59
Maybe, not sure. I'm considering my options as for now.
2020-05-28 23:03
I really love the Playstation exclusive games so yes I will buy it.

The PS5 is controversial because Sony only care for the aesthetics involved when in actuality the public couldn't care less what it looked like. The only request that the public have is that it has PS$ backwards compatibility. That is it, but chances are it won't be happening.
2020-05-29 01:03
not worth i guess, ps4 is selling their exclusive titles to pc so better stick with pc
2020-05-29 01:04
are they calling the pc gaming dead again :D :D remember when consoles predicted the end of pcs? :D :D
2020-05-29 01:11
dont buy yet, wait after 2 yrs. when they launch the PS5 pro. The first generation of console usually sucks.
2020-05-29 06:02
Just keep in mind Xbox and PS5 exclusive tend to make games that are cinematic look fucking great but have poor mechanics, especially the FPS titles, most of the games it just feels like your a passenger and you're playing through a movie not using game mechanics and skill to pass the game. Racing games are always fun as they work well on the controller. If don't care so much about graphics but love great fun mechanics that work very well on a controller get a Nintendo.
