CPU FOR CSGO
Europe brandonroy13
Im buying new cpu , im only playing cs and i dont care about anything else ( multithreading , rendering ,editing etc ) i have 3 options : 1) ryzen 3 3300x 2) ryzen 5 3600 3) ryzen 5 3600x so which one will give me the most fps in csgo and the best 1% lows and how big is the difference between them ive read that ryzen 3 3300x has the best single core power so im wondering is it worth buying the other ones for extra 50 dollars

i have a 3600x works great
2020-05-29 15:43
does it ever go below 220 fps on 720p everything low?

it also depends on your GPU too. whats your gpu
2020-05-29 15:46
rx 580
2020-05-29 15:49
good.. i have the same set up 3600x rx580 16gb RAM it run at least 300+ if you set everything low.. but it drops to 200+ in cache as usual i would suggest 3600x if your budget is not too tight

+1 Unfortunate cache is poorly optimized but 3600x isn't a bad CPU, especially for CS:GO

havent tested that. fpsbenchmark.com/ryzen-5-3600x-vs-ryzen-.. Check this out. i dont think youll see much of a difference between the 3600x and the 3600. but i got a good deal on my X so i got it
2020-05-29 15:46
you need an i5 clocked at 4.5 or higher for stable +200

if those are the 3 you are deciding and can buy them. get the 3600x. its the best performing
2020-05-29 15:44
Nahh 3600 is the same and cheaper.

3600x performs higher than the 3600. albeit slightly... it will reword him with the highest FPS out of those 3. since he can buy any of the 3 and it doesnt matter. why not go for the one that yields the highest results at a small fraction of the cost
2020-05-29 15:57
yeah i guess... still it's less than 1% and he could upgrade literally anything else for better performance

that doesnt seem to be his concern. price for performance. yes, he should get the 3600. but if you have the $$ for a bit more FPS. the 3600x will do more
2020-05-29 17:54
Its about luck now. Seen people oc 3600 to 3.5GHz after they got the process better, or they sell so few 3900X:s that the better chiplets trickle down to 3600:s.

i got the i7 9700k playing on 16:9 1080p 450+ fps all the time
2020-05-29 15:45
i have amd mobo so intel is not an option , too expensive anyways

intel is better

Today in things that never happened, kid spewing fake news over hltv. Got the same cpu, 300 fps all the time sounds about right. 450? Lmaoo on empty map

have you OC and optimized everything for the best performence?
2020-06-01 18:49
I optimized everything but did not OC. Don’t come in here telling me a 0.5 ghz boost gives you 150 more fps. It’s a bunch of bull. 450+ fps lmaoo

0.5? you mean 1.6? i have it clocked at 5.2 ghz lul edit: What gpu do you use and how much ram and ram speed?
2020-06-03 17:39
Where did you get the 1.6 from? On I7 9700k once you disable C-state and speedsteo you get an all core boost of 4.6 ghz per every core. My cpu runs at 4.6 ghz and never goes up or down. So you are running 0.6 ghz more than me. I have 1660 GTX but run everything on low and RAM at 2666. With an RTX 2070 you would probably get 20 more fps tops.

The default clock is at 3.6, i got 2070 super +32 gig RAM at 3200mhz RAM so way more then 20 fps buddy :P
2020-06-04 21:56
I do not run the default clock lad. I run at 4.6 ghz all 8 cores.
2020-06-06 04:40
Sure it's default clock. but Default boost (which is on by default) is 4,6GHz on all cores and 4,9 GHz on single core. So I wouldn't really count your OC as 1,6GHz but 0,3 to 0,6 depending if you're OCing all cores or single core.

+1 doesnt even make sense. He gets 450 on spawn and then 450 with 5v5 site push with mollies, smokes, etc. Lol
2020-06-01 18:53
3600x is the best out of those.
2020-05-29 15:46
Would go for 3600, since the 3600x is barely faster, and the better stock cooler isn't worth the price difference imo.
2020-05-29 15:55
i would go with 3600, the 3600x is nothing more than a overclocked 3600 so its not worth the price since you can do the oc easily by yourself.
2020-05-29 16:02
ryzen 3600 is more than powerful enough. i have it and 300fps on every map.
2020-05-29 16:08
You are correct. For a CS:GO only machine the 3300X would probably give the highest FPS of these 3 CPUs, because it has a different CCX (Core Complex) layout than the rest which reduces latencies. However, if you change your mind and want more multi-threaded performance, then the 3600 would be best buy.
2020-05-29 16:08
yeah , r3 3300x is 100 dollars cheaper than 3600x in my country , and i only play csgo so idk if its worth it

my friend has 3600 but he regrets not buying the 3600x since it was not too costly so think the 3600x is a good choice anyways if youre using 144hz even the first one is fine

ryzen 5 3600 why? because you need to see AHEAD the r3 3300x is perhaps the best choice atm BUT with the launch of the source 2 soon (hopefully) the engine will be more optimized and will take more advantage of the beast that is the r5 3600 and what about the r5 3600x you may ask? is not worth it imo just a better stock cooler in the box because both cpus are essentially the same, the only difference being the base and boost clock speeds which on paper differ by up to 6% jsut my 2 cents

ryzen 3600 or 3500x (same fps on csgo, hyper-threading doesn't mean much in this game) the 3500x was selling for 118$$ on aliexpress before it got sold-out

i9 10900k or ryzen 9 3900x

what is the risk? 3300x is still an excellent cpu for games, it demonstrates high performance in most modern titles, and if source 2 still comes out, 3300x is still more than enough

Definitely not performance wise, but only an idiot would buy 3600x over 3600. Essentially they are the same CPUs but 3600x has a higher base and turbo clock. The difference between those 2 when it comes to gaming is non existent. He'd be better off by buying 3600 and spending the money he saved on some cooler.

Yeah, I agree. Also the 3600 has a better TDP (65W) compared to the 3600x (95W).

Wait for 3600XT, its gonna be a beast for csgo, 4,7ghz boost all core! Comes out 7/7, so enjoy the sun meanwhile!!
