Im buying new cpu , im only playing cs and i dont care about anything else ( multithreading , rendering ,editing etc )
i have 3 options : 1) ryzen 3 3300x 2) ryzen 5 3600 3) ryzen 5 3600x
so which one will give me the most fps in csgo and the best 1% lows and how big is the difference between them
ive read that ryzen 3 3300x has the best single core power so im wondering is it worth buying the other ones for extra 50 dollars
3600x performs higher than the 3600. albeit slightly... it will reword him with the highest FPS out of those 3.
since he can buy any of the 3 and it doesnt matter. why not go for the one that yields the highest results at a small fraction of the cost
Where did you get the 1.6 from?
On I7 9700k once you disable C-state and speedsteo you get an all core boost of 4.6 ghz per every core. My cpu runs at 4.6 ghz and never goes up or down.
So you are running 0.6 ghz more than me.
I have 1660 GTX but run everything on low and RAM at 2666. With an RTX 2070 you would probably get 20 more fps tops.
Sure it's default clock. but Default boost (which is on by default) is 4,6GHz on all cores and 4,9 GHz on single core.
So I wouldn't really count your OC as 1,6GHz but 0,3 to 0,6 depending if you're OCing all cores or single core.
You are correct. For a CS:GO only machine the 3300X would probably give the highest FPS of these 3 CPUs, because it has a different CCX (Core Complex) layout than the rest which reduces latencies. However, if you change your mind and want more multi-threaded performance, then the 3600 would be best buy.
ryzen 5 3600
why? because you need to see AHEAD
the r3 3300x is perhaps the best choice atm BUT with the launch of the source 2 soon (hopefully) the engine will be more optimized and will take more advantage of the beast that is the r5 3600
and what about the r5 3600x you may ask? is not worth it imo
just a better stock cooler in the box because both cpus are essentially the same, the only difference being the base and boost clock speeds which on paper differ by up to 6%
jsut my 2 cents
Im using ryzen 5 3600 oc with stock cooler using ryzen master to 3.9ghz on 1.1volt. cpu temp idle 55c in 32c room temperature. temp playing csgo 65-70c if i use hyper 212 cooler easy 40c idle 55c gaming. Csgo fps 1080 maxed out 240++ fps. Paired with gtx 1660 btw.
Definitely not performance wise, but only an idiot would buy 3600x over 3600. Essentially they are the same CPUs but 3600x has a higher base and turbo clock. The difference between those 2 when it comes to gaming is non existent. He'd be better off by buying 3600 and spending the money he saved on some cooler.
