the doctor prescribed me these pills, but I'm afraid I'll get addicted to them. Have any of you been taking these?

Trust your doctor, not randoms on HLTV. Go see a shrink or psychiatrist if you're having doubt about your first doctor's recommendation or if you feel that you won't be able to handle it alone. Benzo is heavy, but used right is good, just like every other drug. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE HERE

it takes roughly 10 days to develop a physical addiction to benzo's if you start seeing any physical tolerance the last thing you should be doing if you want to avoid dependance is increasing the dosage take it for a few days dont take it then see how you feel if you feel any cravings DO NOT TAKE IT
2020-06-02 20:46
getting off, of benzos, is horrible. so u should not start with it. and if u take, make sure toooo not get hooked on it. cuz u will run through hell trying to get clean from that shit.

benzos and alcohol addiction literally only 2 drugs were the withdrawal is so bad it can kill you and one is a legal drug everyone uses and the other is a prescribed med xDDDD
2020-06-02 20:50
You took those pills for fun?
2020-06-02 20:50
in my 16-18 i took every pill i could find. i would not advice it even just as meds :D
2020-06-02 20:52
I have trouble sleeping, sometimes I don't sleep for three days in a row. Plus, I'm very anxious for no reason.
2020-06-02 20:54
i think the most harmless way, is just to smoke weed or cbd. all this meds will work but once u go off them, it will be even worse. so u gotta stay on that shit forever. so u should just try to fix it with a normal way.
2020-06-02 20:55
weed makes my fears stronger...
2020-06-02 20:59
what u scared off then? mayb try it with meditation breathing exercise. i dunno. this all helped me to get out of a dark empty void of nothingness.
2020-06-02 21:00
I don't know. It's not in my head. These are purely physical symptoms.
2020-06-02 21:01
there is no such thing as purely physical symptoms when it comes to mental issues like fears/anxiety/insomnia, unless literally caused by something physical, like a tumor or a missing leg or whatever. numbing the symptoms, the root of your problem will persist and often become harder to pinpoint, because you'll be fighting with detox and addiction symptoms at the same time when the meds dont work anymore. this is how you become a junkie - never address the actual problem, keep fighting with the symptoms. don't even start dude, face your issues and dig into the possible causes.
2020-06-03 01:19
if Weed boosts anxiety for you then try CBD rubbing oil. As someone whos been super involved in the culture in general CBD rubbing oil is the most stable and one of the more consistent things you can take from marijuana. Its super light and doesnt actually make you feel high, just relaxes the muscles and slows down neuron firing a tiny bit to relax. It also doesnt overblow your dopamine

2 years. i started with venlafaxine in the morning so i didnt feel anxious and heart palpitations, and at night rivotril to sleep. now im trying to quit, but the symptoms came back and im having trouble.... dont get addicted to rivtotril (benzo), its very hard to reduce...
2020-06-03 00:59
It's bad in long term, and if it's to treat anxiety, using it for a long time can make it even worse. I think it's only used to relieve strong physical pain here

2020-06-02 20:55
Yes, it will make you sleep but you'll get addicted if it's for long term. If reason for not sleeping is anxiety there are less addictive drugs. If reason for anxiety is not sleeping there are less addictive drugs. If reasons are independent i don't really know if you can combine both kind of drugs. I'm not a doctor or anything but I don't know if you can trust Polish medicine in this case

can confirm clonazepam long term will make you feel like poop on days you don't take it
2020-06-02 22:09
It also depends on what kind of benzodiazepine, there are a lot of them so one of them may be useful for you

from what I can gather basically those drugs have different side effects but one of them can be deterioration of your mental state which can lead to all kinds of things, depression, violent out bursts and so on but it does say results differ from person to person.
2020-06-02 21:03
I understand, I'll go and ask for something else, ty for help.
2020-06-02 21:07
Don't read that, I clicked on the last two links and they cite studies conducted by CCHR. Don't believe that shit, if they were on medication it's because they had mental problems, so the link isn't obviously between drugs and violence, but between mental problems and violence

DO U HAVE ANXIETY problems? did u haave took any less stronger pills? i got "anxiety" once , notthing like some of my friends have which they sometimes have trouble breathing, and my doctor prescribed me the strongest pill in the market, since i have study some of that shit and i was aware that i had anxiety due to the high amounts of caffeine i was on ( i was addicted) i read about the pill in the composition and it said i could be dependent on him, so i decided i was to heal myself and not mask the problem with a pill, i went to a psychologist, i quitted caffeine for 30 days ( cold turkey) and still have that pill on my kitchen unit. i started meditating reading more, and not let overthinking taking control. if you problem is anxiety , trusted me Search for a PSYCHOLOGIST, and NOT a psychiatrist
2020-06-02 21:06
there is level to this shit... i agree with you, but you surely had a small anxiety issue that you fixed with meditation and changing your habits, but some people just loose their shit and pressing them to fix it without medication just makes it worse, it makes them feel they will fail and can't control it like you did. I tell you what, i had a HUGE anxiety issue, couldnt leave home, felt i was going to pass out, it was horrible, i took medication for 1 year, i changed my habits, eat health, no carbos after 18:00 and exercises 2 times a day. after 1 year i felt confident to stop medication, it took 6 months to not take anything, but i still carry a benzo in my wallet just in case i have a crisis.... it's been 3 years now, i'm very fine, but i needed medication for 1 year...
2020-06-02 21:11
like i wrote , i had friends who had the same level as you, and i asked if he was the same or on a higher level
2020-06-02 21:28
yes i do, can't control it...

they will definitely help you (its strongest antidepressant), but dont abuse them and if u become addicted, i highly recommend u to use "kratom" (it numbs the urge) when u will slowly stop using them (sry for bad england and i hope u get better)

I use them for flight anxiety, works like a charm with a couple beers. I also buy them some time for hangover. But pills like that is garbage and you should not take any advice on here.

Yeah i know, but it's not that bad. Wouldn't reccomend it to others tho.
2020-06-02 22:45
thats like playing russian roulette with a revolver, not getting the bullet after 10 tries and telling people it's not that bad - wouldn't recommend tho. yes, some people can get away with it, just like some chernobyl workers survived what should have been a deadly dose of radiation. doesn't make it "not that bad"

Comparing it with russian roulette and chernobyl is a little drastic, don't you think? I don't know what you have been reading, but i never do anything that is dangerous to me or people around. My flight anxiety has been really bad previously.

Mate if you ask anyone about any med you will find people swearing that it's the worst thing ever, that the withdrawal could kill you etc They're not lying, but it's their experiences Have you ever read a package insert? Even the most generic drug will list every side effect, from nausea to death. You should ask you: can I overcome my problem? You can't sleep, right? Well that was my problem as well, I don't know about you, but the lack of sleep was killing me, I was like a zombie during the day, so I had to do something. Insomnia isn't exactly something that you fix with cognitive behavioral therapy (although I've read some studies about it), if you're afraid of taking any pill (I can't blame you), talk about it with your doctor, maybe he will give you melatonin (I honestly can't think of anything "lighter") and will help you with your sleep hygiene (again, I don't know how severe is your case, in most cases it's all stuff that you already tried)

Depends which benzo. Klonopin long term isn't a good idea; Lorazepam you only take when needed for anxiety, and it doesn't make you feel like shit on days you skip doses.
2020-06-02 22:11
ONLY take it if you want to sleep or black the fuck out. Don't use them on a regular basis.
2020-06-02 22:13
Why, tho? They aren't something that you get prescribed for a long term usually.
2020-06-02 22:15
Share your problems with someone. It is The best way to relieve them. Accepting the anxiety and not fearing it may also help. It might feel like an overwhelming feeling but in the end it is just a feeling inside you.

If it's for sleep and anxious feeling, don't do it. It's gonna be a fucking patch on the short run and a problem on the long one. Forget about it and search for a psychologist, sometimes you need to rely on meds for some time while you work on the cognitive/emotional therapy, but if it's "just for sleep" without any other behavioral work to improve your anxiety, it's a nonsense and it will be bad on the long term. This kind of drugs are ok to take it on a short term, like two weeks to get into the state, a couple of months of full effect and then take them out slowly, to avoid addiction (never ever try to left them in one day or they will kick your ass). Seriously, search for a pshycologist and dig in inside you to find the problems and work to improve them.
