Before covid i went to gym monday wedn. and friday, and ran/bike tuesday, thursday and weekend if i wanted to. Now that we dont have classes or any duty, im running almost daily. Is it bad? Maybe muscles dont get enough rest or something? For know theyre easy runs since im with friends who are starting tho. Hltv elit athletes come to me))))

Im also doing weights in home. Anyways i still do 3 days of it, one per muscle group, as i used to in gym. Not worried about overworking those muscles.

Ye just be carefull when u train legs.. running everyday might be harmfull in long run
2020-06-03 11:01
Yeah thats what worries me. But running feels great, especially if you live in a nice zone with all nature around like here.

a.k.a muscle protein breakdown
2020-06-03 11:10
Soreness? Afaik its caused by micro breaks in muscles fibers + crystalization of lactic acid (this isnt that important), not breakdown of proteins.
2020-06-03 11:16
Doing more than yr muscles are capable of didnt cause soresness.. Muscle protein breakdown occurs when the muscles are overtrained during the day a.k.a running for 1-2hrs + leg training EDIT: ofc depends on nutrition the guy have.
2020-06-03 11:18
Eh.. yes it does. Thats exactly what causes soreness, harder exercise than your muscles can handle. Its not even bad bcause muscles regenerate this micro breaks like it aint no thing, and become stronger.

I believe you're fine for now, but don't underestimate any pain or fatigue in your legs

Well ofc i have a bit of fatigue. Before last 2 weeks I hadnt run because quarantine. Yesterday for example i took a harder run, and today i feel it in my legs. Its not pain, but if youve done sport you know what im talking about. Its not even an annoying feeling, and i could still go running right now. My question is, should i wait 24 hours for this to dissapear or its ok?

Well, I'm no expert, just passing on advice I've heard.

Ngl, I've stopped working out frequently in the past year. I think I just go work out once a week now, I used to work out 3 times a week. I've gotten lazy after entering university.

Havent been really looking times or distances this 2 weeks. Im with begginer friends, so we just go easy. We spend around 2 hour, but of those maybe 30 or 40 mins are actually running. Ima reinstall one of the tracking apps to check progress anyways.

sounds like a lot while trying to build muscle. eat hard than
2020-06-03 11:05
Im not trying to build muscle at all. I just enjoy exercise a lot. If i wanted to body build i would t run at all, maybe just 1 day or so.
2020-06-03 11:06
so whats yr purpose of training? Like enjoying something is good but without kinda noticable benefits? idk
2020-06-03 11:07
As I said, i enjoy it a lot. Thats way more than enough purpose. But also I look good, way better than lets say 3 years ago. Doing cardio and then going to gym 3 times a week is enough to grow muscles decently for most people.
2020-06-03 11:10
cardio before gym hmmm not sure about it but hey, its your lifestyle and if you doing good, keep it up. good luck. If u ask for suggestion i wouldnt run everyday thats all.
2020-06-03 11:11
Usually do it after gym, but somewhere i read that before gym was good because it opened blood vessels etc.
2020-06-03 11:14
your energy level gets depleted when u do cardio before. depends on intensity.

This isn't that hard for the body. You can do this every day I suppose. Good luck with it

As long as they don't feel sore you should be fine.
2020-06-03 11:13
I recommend to rest even 1 or 2 days in a week. Its better for you in long term.
2020-06-03 11:20
It's perfectly fine to run everyday if you're doing easy runs, which you say you are. Injuries tend to creep in when you're trying to push speed and run hard too frequently. Listen to your body and use common sense. Also running shortens your muscles so try stretch daily if you can.
2020-06-03 11:40
All exercise stretches your muscles. I take it very serious dont worry (well, i didnt take it serious for 10 years and now i have little flexibility, but for last months i do and im trying to improve it daily) Any suggestions? I thought about yoga and so, but currently i just do muscle stretching
