automated message from valve is proof nice
He cheated when he was 13-14 years old. I dont think he should be punished for something he did as a child
stfu no one cares about your opinion.
So Valve did really INVESTIGATE ht eJampi issue. The key word here INVESTIGATE, Taht means they did a research on his account, investigated whoch COMPUTER , INTERNET it was connected to and colncluded the FACT
So stfu Jampi supporters. This little finski kid DID cheat on HIS computer and got a VAC BAN.
He can sue VALVE even 1001 times, but still this cheating finski kid will not succed. Amen
best of luck 2 u, cya kid 😎
In my opinion Valve should create scenarios where those kind of situations (Jammpi, v$m) could be handled by lifting the ban and forcing the player to upload demo/proof of every official match for the rest of his pro life.
Valve is not wrong, it was clear to everyone that cheating resulted in life long ban, but we do have to consider that those offenses were made when 13-14, when people usually have no defined concept of longterm consequences. They should, but understandable if not.
To go even further, 13-14 should'nt even be allowed to play the game, but that's another matter.
Call it a life long probation. We have this kind of treatment in BR for small offenders and usually works quite well - people are constantly beeing overwatched and are easily caught if doing it again, but most ends up going straight knowing that all eyes are on them.
I don't think he will ever get un-banned.
massive chad move by gaben....
And btw the account has ONE single mm game played and its the one "cheated game" that exists, one game and clean ever since, so did jamppi really make a account, play one game and decide fuck this and change account, who the fuck does that?
Why cry so late after the release of this email?
If Valve does not present the hard evidence they have against Jamppi, the fact that they said they investigated him means nothing.
Also even if he cheated, I still think he should be unbanned. Context matters, he did not cheat in officials like KQLY or forsaken.
The mail was sent in response to a query sent by Elias himself questioning his eligibility to play in the Majors. (before lawsuit for obvious reasons.)
and why are you so angry. i understand you are young and confused but try to find some inner calm.
It doesn't matter if he actually cheated or not. The price he has to pay is unfair.
ence is such a retarded org.
with the - aleksib move they already ruined their reputation and on top of that they signed a cheater.
You have to respect someone that doesn't know how to arguee with logic and yet chose to argue.
You have to respect someone that doesn't know how to write in proper english and yet choose to write.
But for christ's sake you have to respect someone that can't do both and yet chose to do. Congrats poor and not very educated mad lad!
Let me get this straight for all the idiots who insist that cheating is FOREVER.
People actually murder others and commit other hideous crimes, serve time and get out forgiven but little kids who use cheats and don't harm a single soul are punished for life?
This is not just ridiculous, this is just stupid. Valve you're stupid.
Jamppi fanboys - stop defending a cheater. Why would you let him play at majors if it is confirmed that HE cheated? Doesn't matter how old was he. It's your own choice to cheat or to not - and you should be responsible for your actions.
If you say "He was 13 at the time! he was just a kid, kids are stupid sometimes" I can tell you that I am myself a 13 year old and cheating is fucking disguisting. He even might still cheat.
Also, if you want to unban him, then unban everyone who cheated, be fair.
Ps: s1mple cheated too, no respect for him
Am I the only one that doesn't get why people hate on Jammpi for "He doesn't admit he cheated". Nobody knows for sure what happened. Maybe he didn't cheat. Maybe he did. Maybe it's a pride issue. But that's not a reason to limit a pro's potential for shit that happened at the age of 13-14. People change.
u english is so bad, u dont even get the point why he got banned hahaha
He got banned cuz he sold his old acc and u actually think he cheat hahahhahaa
U SO LOST
this is news to anyone? its obvious that kids a cheater. don't unban cheaters. even if it means ban s1mple, well ban him too.
that message is from october 2019 :DDD shit bait is shit
100% they DID NOT investigate which computer and internet was used. They just looked up who CREATED the account in question and thats it.
man lets imagine he did cheating! ffs valve u banned forsaken for 5 years cuz of cheating in lan tournament and this kid cheated like in public servers for fucking fun! so retarded valve so damn retard its not fair gaben fat pig
how can your english be this bad
Ok for real tho I am a big s1mple fan, I support that guy since he was signed by Liquid
I personally think that Jamppi should not be punished for cheating when he was 13/14 years old.. After all he was just a kid and we all make mistakes, in sports people that cheat get like 2 years ban but in esports people that cheat when they were young get banned forever, its just not fair, I personally think that they should receive a maximum of 5 years ban (yes its a lot but I said maximum, if the ban was long time ago then ban should be less!)
you must be dumb to read that out of this article.
Old news, whats the fuzz?
Cheaters should not be given a second chance, end of discussion. Not just in regular sports, or esports, or in relationships. NO SECOND CHANCES EVERYWHERE. Cheating is one's way of admitting that he/she has no respect, no honor, no sportsmanship. The fun thing is that there is a poll after the OP's linked article, that 54% of the people voted that jamppi's ban should be lifted. I guess they are all legit hahaha! Alsothere is a YT video where pros being interviewed on camera saying that cheaters should be given a second chance. Real pros agree to that, even if they could lose money from a hacking opponent. But you know what... Honor among thieves right?
Random site nobody has ever heard of and 0 proof this was actually email from Valve
Good never lift his ban :) totally deserved i can only imagine his stupid face smiling while aimbotting.
Useless thread and link since it is not a proper source.
He cheated, deserved. Idgaf about who it is. Cheater scum.
Sorry but stop justifying cheaters. No matter how young he was, he cheated. That's it. I've been playing this game more than 10 years and i musr admit i'm bad. However i never think think of cheating. So no one can defend this kid. Valve does a good job
The fact he tries to hide the fact he cheated makes me dislike him even more :)
he's a creepy finnish shut in cheater
Even if he did cheat, so what? Cheating in a random MM game at 14yo shouldn't result in permanent ban.
who cares, cheatin at 12 yo shouldnt ruin yourcareer
1. Still doesn't mean that it was him.
I shared a PC with my brothers for years, we had like 3 different steam accounts, same internet, this honestly means nothing.
2. Cheating shouldn't result in a permanent ban. What sport bans people permanently from competition if they're caught doping or bribing referees or whatever? I don't know of many. Would a sport EVER be taken seriously if they started banning rookies if they find out that they cheated in a little league game? Doesn't that sound a bit absurd to you?
Worst case scenario, he cheated in some mm match, at like 14, in a game that means nothing, and ruined a few people's game. Fine, shitty move, maybe it even warrants a 5 year ban, but I don't think anyone should be perm banned for something like that.
holy shit there are so many finish guys crying in this thread, who cars about jamppi
300IQ move from ENCE signing someone who cannot playin at majors but they know that they will never attend at majors again. 5HEAD ENCE
Thought about criminal liability restrictions in different countries. Cases are banned on few EU countries atleast. Finland's criminal liability is 15 years, and technically under 15 year old people have "Insanity defense" on their side, so they wont be punished. This case is most likely against the constitution/laws in Finland.
Was talking about cases, because countries have different laws for gambling etc.
Valve said in 2014 if you get caught cheating you're done so I don't see what is the problem here? You could be the best player in the world, if you get VAC ban your entire career is over valve doesn't give 2 shits about your status, follow the rules.
Well good thing that Majors are becoming outdated tier2 event anyway so it really doesnt matter.
