Thorin? Why so quiet?

twitter.com/CSPPAgg/status/1278746818285.. Thinking back seeing Thorin going nuts against ESL and now, only after FACEpoInT season 1, this. :D Blunder TO!

CSPPA are under no obligation towards FACEpoInT and accusations are false. They openly asked FACEpoInT for permission to publish the correspondence.
2020-07-02 20:37
That's probably the wost TLDR you could have done.
2020-07-02 20:51
Nope, CSPPA state that they didn't have any obligations and all accusations made by Flashpoint are not true + they asked Flashpoint about 3 or 4 times for permission to make correspondence public to prove that they are right. Easy as that.
2020-07-02 20:54
twitter.com/tomi/status/1278761809537691.. You shouldn't believe everything you read. Even though the CSPPA wasn't under any legal obligations they would appear to have in the very least been absolute c*nts to Flashpoint.
2020-07-02 20:59
I dont think they would disagree with that either. CSPPA said themselves that they were in talks about the testing, but discontinued when the players themselves were asked to take care of shipping and be liable for damages. Both can be true i guess.

Doesn't change the fact that the CSPPA fucked Flashpoint over. I'd like to see your reply to #27, if you have one.

I think you didn't read and assumed that Flashpoint did something bad but ignored CSPPA

Nah, just confirmation bias. People who dislike Thorin dislike Flashpoint People who love EPL hate Flashpoint People who are Danish hate Flashpoint.
2020-07-02 20:45
Wrong. I have nothing against Flashpoint and actually I don't have a real problem with Throin. He's a funny guy, but sometimes he tends to be a stupid dick. He attacked ESL and raised Flashpoint like there's nothing fairer than them in the industry. It doesn't look good if stories like this come up after you've finished your first season ever. That's the real problem here ;)
2020-07-02 20:50
What exactly do you think reflects badly on Flashpoint here? As far as I can see the CSPPA fucked them over just out of sheer incompetence or malice.

Wait. FP asked players if they are okay to play with monitor XY, players couldn't say if the monitors are ok so asked to test them. FP offers to send them monitors for testing but telling them that the costs for returning the monitors goes to the expenses of players and are also responsible for damage (which could happen on the way of transport). So in the worst case players have to pay for shipping costs + a damaged monitor. WTF? The professional way would've been: Ship monitors for testing to the players and telling them that the monitors are being picked up by a carrier 1 or 2 weeks later on day X at X am/pm. Easy as that.
2020-07-02 21:41
quite an easy thing to do with any courier tbh. FP was created to juice some money from CS nothing else
2020-07-02 21:48
Yep. Imagine being that shitty not even paying for return shipments. :D
2020-07-02 21:51
its literally the payment for two labels instead of one lol
2020-07-02 21:56
Yea xD And how much was the buy-in to Flashpoint? I think 1 or 2 million! :D So teams paying this amount of money and then being asked to cover the costs for shippings costs of monitors. Hahahahaha
2020-07-02 22:09
Source on players having to pay for shipping? I don't think that justifies ghosting Flashpoint, especially after the CSPPA promised they would "assist in any way we can" with the monitor testing. There's absolutely no reason the CSPPA couldn't have just told them the players wouldn't be testing the monitors which makes me think the CSPPA is either a poorly run organisation or was purposely acting against Flashpoint.

Read both.
2020-07-02 21:40
Does it go both ways though? Thorins followers will have bias against CSPPA?

Maybe. I am a bit torn. I dislike what CSPPA is right now, but love the idea of it. But then again: I am not a Thorin fan in that sense. I try to keep multiple sources for my opinions but who knows how confirmation bias works?
2020-07-02 21:32
I just figured, it should be a two way process. Always hard to know who to trust, and in this instance a lot could be going on behind the curtains in both camps.

Yeah. I both like and dislike that CSPPA multiple times asked Flashpoint to reveal the documents. 1) It would most likely solve this issue 2) it could hurt Flashpoint if they were the only League that have to reveal the agreement 3) it might just be to discredit/undervalue FP because of 2.
2020-07-02 21:37
Probably a mix of 2 and 3 i guess. Seems like they feel like they need to powerwrestle them a bit.

Could be from both sides. Flashpoint are unhappy with CSPPA for a number of reasons. Perhaps they just make a big deal out of it so CSPPA finally start doing what they're supposed to do

Who's is fun since that just highlight how little he knows about FaceIt, Flashpoint and Thorin
2020-07-02 20:45
LOL ... That's just a bit of banter mate because they often had to state that they are not FACEIT because they took over ECS' Twitter account, using similar colors and FACEIT is the FP's technical partner. Man...

FaceIt was the TO of ECS and sold their twitter (because of the many followers) to Flashpoint and is contracted by Flashpoint for first two seasons. Unless they do a better job in FP2 they won't be contracted for FP3

FP assumed CSPPA will act in good faith for certain things but they didn't and have no contractual obligations for the "good faith" seems like this to me

he is not responsible for these things, he has another job at Flashpoint

If he's not responsible for this he shouldn't run his mouth on twitter and be wrong all the time in the past year.

would be a real shame if there was an organised strike of the players to not attend FP2 if this goes further wonder what FP2 would look like without their best players which are already tier 2 to begin with

hes the creative director of flashpoint, him being involved in the legal battle makes no sense.
2020-07-02 21:08
He was enough in being involved trashing other TOs and telling Flashpoint is such a good thing. His tweets aged not too well... :P

he also isnt a lawyer, he was the creative director. learn the difference.
2020-07-02 21:46
Mate, don't you understand or you don't want to understand? It's about Thorin being a dick shitting over other TOs but the TO, where he is the "creative director", fucks up too right after their very first season. I wouldn't mention him if he, as a creative director, wouldn't have trashed other TOs for stuff that had nothing to do with his "creative director" role. ;)

he trashed other TOs on matters that had NOTHING to do with a potential lawsuit or legal dispute. because YOU DONT TAKE LEGAL DISPUTES TO TWITTER.
2020-07-02 21:55
He trashed simply everything and it was the debate about money. Put legal dispute aside since CSPPA nor FP went to court (yet). It's about money and Thorin was shitting over ESL due to their system of "non existent" rev share and not paying in time, being trash, unprofessional in many ways. Well, his tweet didn't age well.
2020-07-02 22:08
Why would Thorin talk about that
