i understand its a shithole now but i was like 6 when i went and i thought it was a really cool place based off of movies and stuff
2020-07-03 16:01
almost all capitals are shitholes ngl...
2020-07-03 20:14
But it depends where u go
2020-07-03 20:15
literally every capital has really nice places and really bad places
2020-07-04 00:13
Yep exactly ! Montmartre is nice but if u go in gare du Nord that's shit
2020-07-04 11:06
I visited Paris, and it's not the best place i visited but it's not a terrible place. Honestly it looks like Brazil a little bit imo, there are a lot of nice places, and a lot of bad places there. Btw, i was almost robbed, it really reminds me of Brazil. kkkkkk The worst place I visited is Bolivia. I mean I liked the trip a lot, but the place is weird as fuck. If you think Brazil has a lot of favelas, do not go to Bolivia hehe. Positive point: there's no funk ;)

"That place and its ppl seems too gay" whats the problem with place/people being gay?
2020-07-06 01:04
its a figure of speech, descansa militante
2020-07-06 01:48
No it is not figure of speech, it is offensive and unnecessary. Não é militancia, tem N adjetivos que voce poderia usar ao inves de "gay" aprenda a respeitar o proximo.
2020-07-06 16:22
There's nothing to do with beeing gay or anything lmao. It's just a way of saying: their accent and behavior too much liberal and fresco for me. Look at their protests and history in wars and everything. Look what Paris have become, the ammount of filth in their streets due to the "multiculturalism" and arabic immigration.

if were all being honest to ourselves, the only language outside of our mother tongue we need to learn is english even Spanish (which has a lot of speakers) isnt necessary in 99% of relevant countries
2020-07-03 16:05
I had a biology teacher that said he has gain a lot by learning chinese. Lots of documents and interesting chinese scientific posts. But its a hard language to learn
2020-07-03 16:13
Yes, spanish is probably the most wide spoken / less useful one. I am lucky to be born in italy and my gf is russian so I speak and understand 5 languages.

Paris is one of the most magic cities I’ve ever had the opportunity to visit. The Louvre and d’Orsay, the cafes, the champs-elysées, the charle de gaulle etoile, Luxembourg gardens, Versailles, the hausmannian architecture of the whole city, Montmartre... Also, Paris have amazing places to drink and eat at. It’s a pity you have not managed to enjoy the city. Every places I’ve attended to were very clean.

Well, i guess you really wouldn't . But if you change your mind, there are very nice places mixing relaxing beaches and nice landscape with nice development cities, which is almost the same development as big rich cities, on south and southeast region of our country.

I really didn't feel comfortable in Rio sorry. Beautiful place but... I was worried all the time that I could be mugged. A few years ago a colleague of my mom was robbed and killed in the north of Brazil while he was taking pictures at a beach. Beautiful country with some very nice people (and great food). But you have huge social issues to solve :-(
2020-07-03 17:53
even brazilians (outside Rio) didn't fell comfortable there.
2020-07-03 18:57

2020-07-03 16:53
are u dumb? he said worst country you've been to i said france he asked why i said paris i didnt visit every square meter of France, i was responding, based on my experiences, the worst country I've been to if ur going into specifics, i could visit a super rich part of a 3rd world country and think its better than a super poor part of a 1st world country, i was talking about MY experiences and the only experience i have with France is paris

You can't really judge a whole country when you've only visited one city at 6... I'm not saying that u need to visit EVERY SQUARE METER to have an opinion, but only one city is def not enough. It's like u said "I don't like this city, airport is awful" "I could visit a super rich part of a 3rd world country and think its better than a super poor part of a 1st world country" Basically exactly what I'm saying, you got a biased opinion. /closed

has to be UK, I mean the landscape is really beautiful and I also met some nice people, but the big cities were just full of chavs and homeless people and all the buildings looked like shit, especially Manchester and Liverpool but tbh not really fair since I mostly only visited countries for holidays, whereas I acc lived in the UK for some time
2020-07-03 15:59
Ive already seen ppl complaining about Netherlands too. They said the place smells like weed (they literally got stoned just by visiting places) and there are just a bunch of vulgarity (dk if its actually a word) and bikes

2020-07-03 22:51
I took a train from Amsterdam to Roterdam and the city was really nice, the whole trip to Roterdam was beautiful, the train station and the train itself were really clean and tidy. Unfortunately i had to leave after only a day, but i really enjoyed there. Everyone treated me well and i felt like i was welcome. Amsterdam was lots of fun aswell, not for the weed or anything related, but because of the museums and parks.

Out of curiosity.. Which countries you are referring to as better than NL? :) I want to check my travel book haha
2020-07-04 01:39
I'd say the Scandinavian countries (I like their nature 100x better than NL but that's obv because I live here), as well as maybe Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg, would be equal to NL if not better (might also throw Belgium in there if you just stay away from Brussels) but ofc this is all personal taste
2020-07-04 12:08
Forgot about Chile actually, seems like a nice place to visit to ski and snowboard
2020-07-03 16:36
Only thing i hated about the Netherlands was all the fucking bikes man, nearly got hit at least 20 times
2020-07-03 16:48
Must've been Amsterdam then I guess?? You know there are actually more places than Amsterdam in the country xd
2020-07-03 16:50
Well yes i know that but that is where i was and was my experience thats all still loved it tho, people were friendly etc
2020-07-03 16:53
yeah but Amsterdanians are like the most arrogant people in the country, so if you walk in a bicycle lane no way they will stop, so you'll have to be extra careful. Most other cities are not that dangerous though))
2020-07-03 17:23
Yeah i realised that, but avoided the cycle paths like the plague and was fine. Any cities you recommend for when this covid shite is over?
2020-07-03 17:30
in Netherlands?? Utrecht is like Amsterdam but just less touristy + lots of students. Also Rotterdam is nice because it's very modern or The Hague if you like old buildings and stuff, but it's not as popular for going out (scheveningen has a nice beach though). However my personal favourite is Groningen, because it's nice and small and it has a lot of international students so good nights out.
2020-07-03 17:42
Groningen is small but awesome. Spend a semester there last year, very easy to recommend.

2020-07-06 02:03
If ur looking for good beaches with waterparks go to northeast, the beaches there are suuuper good and its far away from the mass (Rio/São Paulo). There are lots of things to do: buggy/quadricycle tours in sand dunes, literally everything. Those places are meant for the tourists, alike from Rio/SP. There are places with termal water (literally natural hot watters) with a bunch of pools and water parks, its called Caldas Novas and Águas Quentes (they are in Goias, close to our capital, in the central part). There are also cold and more european-like cities down south. As i said, brazil is huge, you can find everything over here

2020-07-03 16:31
I personally dislike every other country. Id only visit Uruguai and Argentina just to prove the barbecue and ive heard good things about them. I actually lived in Rio de Janeiro for 18 years and its a very dangerous city (like any other in Brazil). The only time i was robbed (got my phone back after) were by some Venezuelan immigrant
2020-07-03 16:34
There are many safe cities/towns in Brazil, my friend. Two of the safest and richest cities in the country is right beside Rio.
2020-07-03 17:29
What cities are you talking about?
2020-07-03 17:30
Teresopolis and Petropolis. I've visited these cities several times in my trips to Brazil and I'm hoping to come back soon. I fell in love with these 2 cities. There is an overwhelmingly majority of people of German and Italian descent in these 2 places. Too bad that when people think of Rio they instantly think of the shithole that is Rio and its surrounding areas. If you live in Rio you also be familiar with the name Cabo Frio, I was there 2008/2009 and that place has a higher GDP per capita than some developed countries. You still got good things, my friend.

South of Brazil is very influenced by Europe so there are lots of “European” towns
2020-07-03 18:37
Yup, I'm aware of that, but Southern Brazilians are very toxic because of their "white" heritage. All of Brazil is influenced by its European heritage, the difference being that in Southern Brazil is more influenced by more recent immigrants rather than people that settled in the country centuries ago. Same thing applies to other countries that used to be colonies in the Americas.

I’m descendent from Italians so I have never experienced racism towards me in brazil but I guess what you are saying is true since I have seen some brain dead southerners calling people monkeys
2020-07-03 18:46
That's what I'm talking about. I'm very familiar with Brazilians and I know of this horrendous toxicity coming from the South, even though most of Brazil descends from Portuguese and Italians. Roughly 15% of Brazilians have Italian heritage, but if you really look like an Italian (tanned, dark eyes and dark hair, like all of Southern Europe, or also "Mediterranean race"), chances are, Southerners would call you a monkey. This shit happens even in Europe itself, believe me.

My grandparent (who parent’s came from Italy) were very light skinned (I guess they were from the north?) so I have never had a problem with brain dead racists, but I can still see that, atleast online, southerners have more racists than “normal”
2020-07-03 19:04
Brain dead people to say the least, and this is why Brazil will always be a third world country. Because instead of having unity and fighting together for the better, they want to feel superior to others in whatever way or mean they can find and want to divide. That's NOT how you build a healthy country or identity.

I guess that is somewhat part of the human nature so mixed countries will probably have a hard time being united. You can look at the US, They probably are less mixed than Brazil but they are still fighting with racism from Americans against Americans
2020-07-03 19:17
My mom was born in Petropolis. It really is a good city, but not my type. Its a more european feel. Up the mountains and cold. But im glad you enjoyed it
2020-07-06 02:11
Yeah, it's an awesome city, with VERY beautiful mixed architecture from Portugal and Germany. Rio would be a hell of an European place if braindead progressive politics didn't take over... see old pictures from the city of Rio, you will be crying with all the beauty that was lost to give place to favela. I saw the pictures and let me tell you, that was the most European city in Brazil during that time, you wouldn't be able to tell if you were in fucking Paris, Germany, Italy or Portugal rather than an empire thousands of kilometers away in another continent. Man, so much beauty was lost in that place that it is simple heartbreaking, and it was one hell of a safe city as well. Heartbreaking, I can't think of another word for that. I hope things someday go well for you, my friend, Brazilians have suffered enough from bad politics and violence and this shit HAS to come to and end. I don't think a country deserves so much shit going on. Feels bad, dude, feels bad. And what I said here applies to all Latin American countries. What a shame dude, so much lost, to give place to poverty, despair, violence, corruption and unimaginable amounts of crime. But at least some of the old essence is still around in Brazil. Wish you the best. You can do it.
2020-07-06 02:25
The royal family used to live there. The reason why there is many favelas is due to the unplanned end of slavery. The freed slaves had nowhere to go so they started building improvised houses in the mountains. That's why Rio is that way, rly a shame. But, if u think about, the same ppl that brought this culture you mentioned are the ones who made us be shit with the way of colonization.
2020-07-06 02:31
That's right. Just reinforces that slavery should have NEVER ever been a thing. Africa's ancient knowledge, technology and culture would not have been lost and we would not have so much racism and hatred in this world. Africa would not have been divided and fucked and explored to death for centuries, bringing countries to completely unfixable situation. The result of what happened centuries ago is what you see today. They really had potential, even though if they were not living in proper cities with castles. What a sad result of greed and "human ambition". Our planet should be an example of what a civilization should never do. If the early government had been supporting the slaves since they became free, maybe things would be different today and Brazil would be one of the most developed countries in the world, because, come on, the country has more resources than it would ever need to become an absolute superpower powerhouse. Everyone failed, and badly, really badly, and today is the result of that. It just shows that a simple decision from centuries ago can echo centuries, millenia into the future and maybe never be fixed. Just imagine, imagine if the government was supporting the recent-free people and everyone that was needing help, as the country was fucking filthy rich at that time, imagine what you would have become, you, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador... all these former colonies, would have achieved much more than USA. Unfortunately, we cannot go back in time, and see what happened to so many countries that were colonies tears my soul. Why can't people just do the right thing thinking for the best of everyone and nature? My words are contradictory, but I sincerely it is too late to do anything at this point, it will never change, it has no way back. But, you are always 1 choice away from changing everything. Who knows, a good government with actual caring leaders could emerge soon and slowly start to change the country. For example, Brazil's murder rate fell from 30 to 19, that's REALLY impressive. Keep it that way and who knows, in 2 or 3 year it could go down to less than 10. The government is acting more smart on crime now, I see in the news. If things continue like that, there will be hope for you. If you are not happy in Brazil, move to another country man, I'm sure most people would welcome you. I also live in a terrible shithole somewhere else, TERRIBLE, but if I was in a developed country and had a business, you would be welcomed as a family member. Start early so you can also move early. Try to apply to a scholarship somewhere, your English is great. New Zealand, although isolated, would be great for you with lots of nature, same to Canada. Seek your dreams, my friend. Advice for you because it is already way too late for me to do any of that. Sorry, I write a lot because my country is in a similar situation, very depressed because of it. Gang killings, shoouts, beheadings and disappearances, corruption... we are on the same boat and I see no hope anymore to be honest. But your intelligence agencies are acting REALLY goddamn fucking smart and totally dismantling organized crimes in some places slowly, so things are advancing. Stay positive my friend, there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. As for my country... the story is different, we are completely doomed to eternity in this place. Cheer up, my friend. <3 <3 I will be back to Brazil someady and visit those 2 beautiful cities again, it's like alpine Europe in a tropical country. That is, if I do not die in this pandemic because of my irresponsible family and we are all in the risk layer. See you.
2020-07-06 03:10
Im really interested in moving to another country, but dont know how honestly. I do think my english is ok, im 19yo and im studying eletrical engineering. Who knows, maybe its too late for me too. My family's financial situations is not going great atm but at least we still are above the average. I see many news about countries wanting ppl but still dont know how do we manage to achieve so and if there are large costs to it. And as for Brazil, i dont know how to go against corruption, its something internal in everyone's behavior and principals, dont think we can make it go. Our current president is a moron but he got some nice ministers in his government (now he's ruinning that also), but i dont think is as bad as the previous ones. In the end, im also positive. The future is incertain, anything can happen. Gl for you too pal
2020-07-06 03:17
There are several papers on that and step-by-step tutorials on that. You are in a area of engineering so you would surely find a real job with a good paycheck really fast. Depending on the company, they could sponsor all your spendings to the country and pay for your rent and everything you need for a while until you secure yourself in place. You should search for people that moved to another country to work in an area of engineering, Germany, Switerland and Netherlands are powerhouses for that. I heard electrical engineers easily get jobs so you can be at advantage there. You're just 19, you are starting yet, so there are endless open doors for you and MANY of them are the right ones. When you finish your degree you can come to a point where you can even choose were you want to work at (country). There is a high demand. Follow that path and every opportunity you are looking for will be coming for you. And if you do tests and get approved, you could apply for scholarship somewhe with everything sponsored and you would be already living in another country ready to concluse a degree to work and get a nice big FAT paycheck. You just have to research for people to find the right doors. You can do it, your family believes in you and so do I. I know that unlike some other countries, Brazilians that move abroad are in the vast majority, high skilled educated workers so they don't have a bad image. Boost your hope whenever you can. Just search for where electrical engineers are being needed right now. I have a friend studying it as well and he is starting the last parts. I have very heavy learning disabilities so I can't work with something so complicated, so do that for me and make me happy.
2020-07-06 03:29
I will definitely try that out. It's better to fail than to not try. Im also a eletronics technician. Im at the beginning of the EE college so i think going abroad its a thing for the future. Maybe get a world-wide known english certification since mine is local. Brazilian people are the kindest, specially the middle educated class. And once again, thanks for your kind words and best of luck for you.
2020-07-06 03:37
That's even better! If you get a job as EE, you could use your electronics + EE knowledge to do tons of stuff and even work from home in the spare time, fixing consoles, xbox, Playstation, computer graphics cards, motherboards and such. People actually do that and make FUCKTONS of money from their bedrooms. I gave an idea to my brother. I told him to fix drones, he now works from his bedroom, has clients all over the country and even from other countries sending stuff to him to fix. He buys broken stuff, fix them like they are new and then sells them, now has his own small company and makes tons of money, without even getting out of his room, simply fixing small electronics. You are at double advantage here. Embrace it. Goodnight, my friend.

I guess the brazil vs Argentina thing is mostly football related and I haven’t heard of a “major” beef with Uruguay besides that they once were part of Brazil and some people still hold a grudge against that. Paraguay is known to have cheap and fake stuff so a lot of people go there to shop. And I don’t really know about northern sa countries since I’m from southeast and we are quite far from them

Well it will always depend on what areas you have visited from the country. For example, Santorini and most of Athens was complete dogshit due to the commercial nature, but Technopolis and the surrounding area was so much more lax and liberal and as such, I felt much more at home there. But yeah, Estonia was pretty fucked.

Nothing checks out. You claim you saw people pissing on the streets? That's only likely if you went around looking for cheap whores in the slums. Diarrhea is because you couldn't handle the food. 'lots and lots of pollution' wow! Which metropolitan city doesn't have pollution? Our problems are the ones arising from poverty and overpopulation but India is beautiful and there are loads of places that are unique and fascinating. Unappreciating jerks like you are better off not visiting.

I'm captivated by 20's Paris, with Hemmingway, Fitzgerald, Joyce, ts Elliot, stein, etc. I know I said I disliked Rome even tho it has a rich history, I'm not really that interested in Roman history as compared to 20th-century literature. I also find that Paris is a good mix between a lively, metropolitan city, and a classic one. When you look at cities like London and New York, they rely very little on their history to attract tourists, because they are larger than life 'concrete jungles', but Paris has kept lots of its authentic feel.

+1, I went in many poor countries but they always had something nice such as warm people, nice weather and nature, good food... But Denmark is forgetable, I mean it is surely a very nice country to live in but it has nothing special to visit (I know there is probably hidden gems like in nearly every country but still)

i were 13, my family wanted to go to do nordic trip, it was horrendous. They had planned already sth there, i had sore throat, otitis and headache for 3 days, then we arrived there and heard that we were spending nights in tent and go hiking we spent there 3 days while my health issues. Since others wanted to stay in tents and there is no hotels straight there, closest were in Kristiansund, my family thought that i couldnt be myslef in such a big city with that stuff, theeir biggest problem were that if it gets worse they cant help me, so they drove to kristiansund bought some medicine which almost didnt help at all. The other parts of norways were really beautiful, but this thing ruined it for me, we went to trolltunga and stayed in oslo for a day, beautiful city,Others were beautiful but thats hit as i already said it ruined it for me, and the other countires were i have been have been nice also with their minuses but since im 15 i feel like in 5 years the list would be totally different. Edit- by there i mean bremsnes

I've visited so many country and I decided there is no the worst country but the worst places. For example, Copenhagen is like a heaven but near of Nyhavn and Tivoli is bad. Or near the Eiffel, center of Istanbul, center of Stockholm etc. Those places are crowded and full of tourists. Crowds bring noise and pollution. So every country has peaceful and beautiful places but they're out of city centers imo.

Can't think of any country, but I've had bad experience with some places. Mainly Paris and Barcelona, but I have been to good places in both France and Spain. I've been to about 30 or 31 countries, all got its own charm and positives. But when it comes to places I really dislike Barcelona and Paris, due to expectations. In Paris the people are just ass holes and the city is "too" big; takes forever to go between all the places you wanna visit. Barcelona due to it being on of the most visited places by swedes and almost all say it is so great, but it is literally nothing special.

this is so true it kinda hurts. i often have foreign people visting me and they all complain the same: they have a really hard time learning Portuguese because everyone wants to speak to them in english. A lot of brazillians dominates english very well (at least well enough to hold a conversation) but it's kind of a taboo to use it BR x BR. People feel like you're boasting about 'being smart' and it usually ends with someone saying 'LoOooKk, X pErSoN SpEaKs EnGLiSh OoOoOOOoo'
2020-07-03 19:14
ikr? i learned english and now everytime someone hears about it they keep trying to mock me like thats why brazil still a third country. If you try to study and be someone, people will try to mock you or some shit

True I've done my Erasmus exchange in Germany and I was shocked as everyone was speaking english, even the cashiers in my local supermarket In France people only expect you to speak french, and that's a very negative part of France, especially since we have so many international tourists

I would say france, idk hadn't much fun to visit tbh maybe I was just in the wrong place to get some positivity in my post: and best country I've ever visited I would say singapore way to nice, merlion insane
2020-07-03 16:51
What can you do in Singapore while visiting it? It's insane how many ppl are talking shit about france and paris
2020-07-03 16:54
They are many activities you can do in singapore, culture is great. Example you can visit the botanic garden of singapore. Yeah France is maybe the worst country to visit in europe, the car drivers are rude and most likely you have to wait that there is no car to cross the street because if its red they just drive and not really care and stuff like that. I see you come from brazil or maybe fakeflag idk but I would like to visit brazil but as a tourist I feel kinda worried because the favelas and gangs are a big point in Rio. I would love to visit the Jesus statue looks amazing not gonna lie, as a tourist do I have to worry because of the gangs?
2020-07-03 17:02
Ive lived in Rio for 18 years. Favelas are only on the "mountains", They are separeted from the rest of the city, there wont be gangs like you see. Just always be suspicious of everyone and be careful with Waze/Google maps (but i guess ull be taking ubers so i dont think that will be a problem). The food here is actually REALLY good, there are some things youll want to try out: barbecue, brigadeiro, açaí, feijoada, coxinha, pão de queijo, our pizza (there are sweet pizzas and alike anywhere else). I recommend you to google just to see what they are. Everything is delicious and i think youll enjoy it. For the beaches: go to Barra or Ipanema, the beaches here (especially in the summer) are really crowded with ppl and workers selling things (suntanners, food (actually meals), drinks (Mate com limão and caipirinha/caipivodka), bikinis and everything. If they realize you are a foreign they will raise the price of the product (so watch out, but our currency is prolly cheap for you).
2020-07-03 17:12
Thank you very much! I gonna bookmark this and when the pandemic is over (hopefully) I gonna visit brazil then :D Stay safe during these times!
2020-07-03 17:22

2020-07-04 12:08
Had a layover in Wuhan (hehe) and Beijing. Worst experience ever. Every Chinese I met were so fucking rude you can't believe it. Maybe cuz they were in vacay mode. As to countries I've actually visited: Laos has to be the worst. It's beautiful and I had a great time, but the roads are shitty, the food is probably dogmeat, so corrupt, hospitals are trash and meds&pills arent even the real thing. I was gonna buy Valium for a 10 hour busride but I got something called "Velium".

Has to be Indonesia, although i was born and raised here, before moving to Australia. Government not really putting effort on better Transportation and Infrastructures, racist uneducated citizens, non-stop political dispute, very-money-oriented people (for foreigners, they will try to scam and get your money for not-so-logical reasons) Coming back twice a year since then, but not really seeing a huge change in difference. But surely, i can admit that we do have some of the biggest, and best shopping mall in the region. Best country ever visited? Norway, Turkey, Canada.
2020-07-03 20:18
"Government not really putting effort on better Transportation and Infrastructures, racist uneducated citizens, non-stop political dispute, very-money-oriented people (for foreigners, they will try to scam and get your money for not-so-logical reasons)" Lemme guess, Java island? lol. Yeah It's hella packed and a shithole compared to other islands.
2020-07-03 21:16
You got me right mate. I would say if the infrastructures are even out across the nation, Kalimantan or Bali are the top 2 choices for me to live i would say. One day during my retirement, would probably move back to one of those 2 island :)

France, I guess. But I visited Paris during the middle-eastern immigration of 2014-15. Streets were littered with trash, and people. Found joy in the little things, like street "musicians". One guy had a homemade flute that sounded like cats fighting, other guy had a ukulele with 1 string, best was a guy with a trumpet that was badly damaged. They basicly just made noise. I'm sure there are plenty of nice places in France, but Paris is a shithole. I stayed in the slum of Marrakech when I visited Morocco, saw a guy shit on the street. Paris still worse.
2020-07-03 20:27
India I thought that Russia is shithole before I visited India. As a tourist it's beautiful place, but as citizen... I think it's very bad, especially outside of big cities Btw I was in Sri-Lanka and it looked way better
2020-07-03 20:33
Slovakia, it wasn't bad. I've just visited 4 countries so I have very little choice. I wouldn't pick Austria and Hungary because they were really good, Czechia was meh. Slovakia is the weakest among them.

Would if I could. Would exchange it for Budapest any day of the week tbh. It still looks like an old soviet city, with almost no nature, rude people who speak with the worst imaginable slovak dialect and a lot of fake people as well. Also they can't drink as much as we eastern boys can and act like they are much better at it.

Mexico It’s just mexico
2020-07-03 20:37
Why is it the worst? I've been to Mexico and it was nice.
2020-07-03 21:44
The resorts are nice. The actual country is slums. Plus it is chock full of cartels and gangs
2020-07-03 22:06
Ah, yeah. 'Worst country' could mean that specifically the country you visited was the worst, or that you had the worst experience in that country. I guess we just interpreted the question differently.
2020-07-03 22:11
I went on a mission trip with my church. We saw some cocaine dealers and a couple people in our group got pick pocketed. That’s mainly what I was going for

2020-07-03 22:07

2020-07-03 20:43
Yeah man LA is shit. Definitely not the place to visit. Every major city in the US is a shithole. If you ever come back I would strongly recommend avoiding the cities. There are some beautiful places with really nice people here. But every city is trash and full of dicks.

For me its Poland (visited like 4-5 cities there) It looks like everything is from 1950's old rotten buildings with a few exception's of new developed buildings. Nobody spoke any English, food quality was low (street / supermarkets ) restaurant was fine, pub food was worst. Would put Russia (Moscow) on the same level aswell, basically 1:1 but Moscow is just larger though the metro is outstanding. Best: I would say Germany regarding people, food (except the "wurst" what the fuck is up with the wursts there) culture & other criteria. Have visited approx. 30 countries
2020-07-03 20:46

2020-07-04 22:20
Hm, I visited most of estonian places (more than Talinn and Tartu) and gonna say that it doesn't differ that much from Poland. You can see clearly it's post soviet. When it comes to english level, it's simillar to Poland, you can chat with young people, but when you will meet old timers, you have to try with russians. I enjoyed my time there anyway and I have a lot of estonian friends. Naita tissi ;)

I have considered to visit after the virus situation improves, with my bike from busan ferry like this : i.imgur.com/XpJuh7h.png Do you think this road will be interesting and easy? is it simple to ride a bike through big city tokyo, osaka, and else? In Korea there is a path through the country
2020-07-04 11:55
Cycling is very popular in Japan so don’t worry about the roads. Honestly, if you single out a city from all, then this is definitely Osaka (of course, in other cities there are places where you can ride, but not like in Osaka). If you are in Osaka, be sure to visit the Yodo River. It’s just a paradise for cyclists.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a hate thread, it's useful so people can be aware of what to look out for. Also there are countries that are almost objectively worse than others... assuming you don't like extreme violence and stuff like that.

My own, haven't visited any other country.
2020-07-04 17:18
There are many ways i could go with this ... because 'worst' is just relative. There are different metrics - safety, people, infrastructure, nature, prices, culture, quality of life, not to mention each individual's experiences. With that being said ... a country that is below average in all of these is Bosnia. Out of the 33 countries i've visited, Bosnia is not worst in anything, but by not having anything really good, it's hard to find an argument to say 'it can't be the worst'. However I would visit it again, unlike other countries which are definitely better by metrics.
2020-07-04 17:19
Argentina and UAE, because of bad experiences. In both countries i had problems with arrogant idiots, who did not respect a couple.

Costa Rica was my most disappointing but, it could be cause we went with 2 other couples and they didn't like to be adventurous. So, we were constantly splitting up and rushing to meet back up etc.
2020-07-04 18:18
that's not a proper answer brother, you have to be objective on the reason why you think it's the worst, not based on a experience with your friends

Chile. OMFG the worst country ever
2020-07-04 21:16
Which part did you visit? If its up north 100% agree
2020-07-06 03:15
Lithuania. Country of potato fields and ugly soviet blocks. There is literally nothing to watch, except these two. In Ukraine you have poor , but architectural classy areas like Odessa, parts of Kiev or lviv. In Lithuania you have only soviet blocks. Lithuania looks like russia 2.0 tbh
2020-07-04 21:19
where did u go bro. I can see that a little bit... we need to develop Vilnius way more. Kaunas for me always cozy but I guess for some foreigner it could look like cold vibe city. Ofc the girls are fun and people loyal.
2020-07-06 03:44
I know bro, i have nothing against Lithuania tbh. It's just this country looks so grey and depressing.. You'd better improve it for your own mental sanity. Just redevelop this country, now it looks like russia , sad..

St. John and St. Thomas boring Islands
2020-07-04 22:17
In my case I have to say Morocco. It is kinda beautiful, It has some great places but I was constantly annoyed by scammers and people trying to sell me drugs, toys, whatever they could and also begging non stop (I gave money to some people but it was non stop) which made my trip absolutely awful. I couldn't enjoy the experience. I won't be back most likely.

Worst: Croatia (worst by far because of heat and generally a shithole, even Zagreb and Split), France, Poland (because of autist roadside workers, people were generally nice though) Best: Norway, Netherlands, Belarus
2020-07-05 02:04
croatia is nice af, maybe not central but west coast top1
2020-07-05 19:24
I was on the west coast, imo tied with France for the worst country in Europe
2020-07-05 21:06
why?
2020-07-06 01:09
Like I said, it's a shithole, decaying buildings, it's basically poor mans Italy.

I visited 20+ countries, I would not say worst, but I would say France (Paris) was the most disppointed one. The Metro system is even worse than New York.

Switzerland. So expensive, so neat and "nice" and so fucking smug about it. Horrible places are generally interesting, nice places are nice, Switzerland is neither genuinely nice nor interesting. It is awful.

UAE. Dubai is flashy af and great in the tourist parts, but when you go to the places where regular people live, it's a fucking shithole. Regular workers are like slaves and scammers everywhere.
