dont kick nitr0

My plan would be to bench nitr0, add a 6th player to the roster and let him play during online. When LAN comes up, they should act depending on how the new player has been performing.

I don't know who they should pick up, though. Only ALEX might be a good addition, but I don't think ALEX wants to join (he said he'd prefer a FLASHPOINT team, with not such a heavy schedule) Its unlikely they'd be able to get an EG player either.

Nitr0 better than Alex

I think alex would be able to lead liquid better. Liquid have always seemed to play more scared when theyre behind in a game and fall apart. ALEX knows when to ramp up the aggression and mix in a bit more of a looser style. Stewie2k might do the same, we'd have to wait and see how his ingame leadership works out. I really liked how he called in cloud9.

They might need one. Theres a reason stewie2k has taken over the igl role from nitro. It wasnt working out. In games where liquid were behind nitro started to call very slow strats, which often didnt work out for them. Stewie is able to call more fast strats that create chaos and have their players rely on outaiming enemies. such strats are needed when you have as much talent as liquid has. Im not sure if stewie really wants to be a permanent igl though and if his style still works in 2020. Afaik stewie wasnt planning on becoming te igl again. Thats why I think alex would be great.
2020-07-04 16:49
Stanislaw too but I don't know if they even could pick him up at this rate.

The problem is that he was a pretty big part of their success in 2019. If he can back to that form it would be unnecessary to kick him. They need to see if the problem is online or just that he is falling off.
2020-07-04 04:24
I always thought that nitr0 was just ok when Liquid was really dominant. He had solid stats, but nothing outstanding. Biggest difference was that twistzz looked like one of the worlds best riflers at that time. They had good teamplay but it wasn't strategic genius that made Liquid top 1 at that time, it was the fact they had 3 amazing star players.
2020-07-04 04:40
These kids on hltv always blame igls, don't you know that? Ahh and yes, flair checks out, I know. I agree with everything, nitr0 is not mastermind like other igls but I think they kinda fall off because of the situation in the world and etc, the lack of rivalry and so

I really like nitro and would love to see him get back to his former level. Even as IGL he did quite well and had pretty decent stats. Only problem was that he had the tendency to call too passively when they were behind. Passive calls make choking issues worse, because theres much more time to think about what youre supposed to do. with fast strats you take such thoughts away and just rely on aim. Im hoping stewie can introduce those, but if Stewies calling doesnt work out, theyre gonna to have to remove nitro if he doesnt step up.

we've already seen that stewie can provide those fast calls, I've really been liking the strats/calls from liquid lately. I just think that they have fallen off individually, especially since elige isn't performing on online as much as I would've liked.
2020-07-04 18:05
But those passive calls are not always a bad thing, I remember several push calls from karrigan, even nowadays in mouz, that led the team to push smoke and die to eco. At the end of the day... I would not make a roster change in Liquid right now

+1 haha every time liquid start choking he has flashbacks from Columbus
2020-07-04 04:57
I think you mean move him to the bench and trial a new player.
2020-07-04 04:45
Kick him ofc. He's totally useless these days. if they can add ALEX nitr0 is absolutely the first to go.
2020-07-04 04:47
-nitr0 +jks
2020-07-04 04:52
ngl jks is really fucking amazing, he needs to get out of 100T
2020-07-04 05:15
Have Nitr0 as a 6th man/coach/analyst so Liquid has a solid stand-in if they ever need one. If this happened even if someone was a little sick he could play and the sick player could relax. Best options rn are Grim, jks or Vanity. I especially like vanity because he could play support and AWP, the two positions Liquid are lacking
2020-07-04 05:19
i think like 2-3 of liquids players gonna be dropping for valorant sooner than later

I think that Valorant bubble has already come and burst. I'm sure it'll build into something, but Counter-Strike benefits from the Lindy effect

When they're 30 and washed up, maybe.

2020-07-04 07:46
Lmao, just let him IGL again, imagine you were an awp and igl and both of your roles were stolen I swear he feels not good now Btw kick stewie, the guy who destroyed twistzz and nitr0
