Which team are you a fan of and why?
 |
United Kingdom The_Dark_Destroyer
I will start. Niko, guardian and Olof were 3 of my favourite players when i started watching so it was a dream come true for all of them to play together in faze. Also at the time there wasn’t really a decent uk team to support which is also why I went for an international team.

How long do you think it is before he is on a top 2 cis team?
2020-07-05 01:14
I think currently he'll stick to his current squad, but later, if spirit will play really bad, he can be taken into their roster. However, they have potential together, so time will tell.
2020-07-05 01:16
It would be nice to see the gambit roster succeed but I think they would be pretty willing to sell him

Because i got into esports when they bought KPI in 2017 and in 2018 made that spanish superteam that was almost my Spanish nacional team idea. I also kinda like teams sponsored by Movistar which is my phone company.

It will definetly depend if they can recover their form after the break that have they now and if they can play again in Movistar esports Center. Maybe they can be in top 30 more than only one week and to be near the top 20.

I support FaZe because well, the Netherlands has no scene. I like international squads as they have more interesting combo's and potentials in the players. I also like the no-fucks-given we just outaim you and throw money at the problem attitude. The biggest reason is probably because FaZe are the closest to my current team, and the closest to any matchmaking based team. They're loose, they make awesome plays, they win eco's. Man I just love FaZe.

2020-07-05 01:27
Only been watching cs for a year, I enjoyed the ENCE Katowice run and the team as a whole. I was really disappointed when he got kicked cause he was the reason that team was good and ENCE turned to shit after so I decided to support wherever he went next.
2020-07-05 01:33
actually aleksib is fun player to watch, i like him too. he is not consistent on top level games though, but he is IGL and god in using utility.

I started watching in 2015 so Fnatic and whatever team kennyS and apEX are in (dunno why I liked apEX the second most out of that EnVyUs lineup, but there's that). Though now I would probably say my main team is Gen.G, just bc autimatic is my fav player and there's 4 asians (I'm also asian).

I pretty much like all teams, it's easier to name which ones I don't support. I tend to go against MIBR. I've never liked their attitude off the server nor their gameplay in the server. FalleN is a good player, sure, but I have no respect for him due to his actions outside the server. In Vitality I dislike most of the players. ZywOo is fine and I'm always excited to watch him play, but something about shox and apEX just pisses me off. I have mixed feelings about EG. Brehze, CeRq and Ethan are some of the strongest players in the scene right now and I always cheer them on, but stanislaw and tarik really did my man daps dirty. I also think they have an attitude that isn't healthy for the team. In any matchup, I always cheer against Astralis. I respect them for being the best team on the scene, but everyone loves an underdog. ENCE and North are two teams I dislike because of their poor decisions. Booting Aleksib as for ENCE, and making stupid roster moves as for North (valde, JUGi etc).
2020-07-05 01:46
wdym? he is the most humble person outside of the game. he seems like a boomer, i agree. Never seen any pro player complaining about him or anything. I remember him talking with other NA teams (were pretty dead at that time) giving advices on how they should prepare themselves and how to practice properly (at that time they didnt have things like team meeting and stuff).
2020-07-05 02:02
I see you missed the whole controversy about leaf's cheating allegations, and the role he played in engaging his fanbase to witch hunt him. DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying leaf is innocent, I'm saying FalleN was acting irresponsibly when talking about it. leaf is innocent until proven guilty and if he had any concerns he should have taken it with the tournament organizers. That's just the tip of the ice-berg, though. There was a thread on here a while ago with a long list of unsportsman like things he has said and done over the years. Also don't forget the recent controversy regarding the round restart during technical issues versus FURIA. Instead of having a civilzed discussion with FURIA, the team of young up and coming BR talent (who eventually restarted the round and lost the game in the process), he was posting tweets shit talking them on Twitter mid-game. Imagine how that affects the FURIA players, having their idol talk to them like that. There was a lot of backlash against him after the leaf allegations and the FURIA situation, namely SPUNJ calling him out on HLTV Confirmed, and many pros (ropz was vocal early on) adressing it on Twitter.
2020-07-05 02:31
I think styko and device said some things on Twitter aswell
2020-07-05 02:39
Ok, imagine urself having problems with the servers and its 100% not ur fault (remember, they had several DDOS problems and never tried to /rr or complained about). So, you're friends with the other team and ur both against the rest of the world. A teammate of yours complain saying multiple times: "hey guys, our game froze. its hard playing like this, theres no need for us to lie and everything" and the oponent team dont even say a single thing. You cant disagree that this was some bullshit by the opponent team. About the leaf case, you guys are overeacting his words so much, dont even know if you were bothered to try and translate it. he literally said "Lost against Chaos and yes, the clips looked fishy but we cant judge without knowing, remember that 4 years ago i was also accused of cheating". After he saw the allegations about those death threats he tweeted again "please, dont act like this, itll only makes us look worse". U guys are actually overeacting his actions lmao
2020-07-05 02:45
FURIA did what they should have done, and made their coach make the decision to restart the round or not, which is what MIBR should have done as well. On top of this, as FURIA didn't have any problems, only MIBR, it means that it was a local issue of MIBR and the server hosts shouldn't be blamed. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about discussing it at all. gaules and dead are equally to blame on this. The responsible thing to do would be to take the defeat and never adress it again. Instead he made several tweets about it, knowing full well the passionate MIBR fanbase would go ham on this kid. It was stupid and irresponsible.
2020-07-05 02:48
Respect always come first, at least give them the satisfaction and the feedback, dont ignore them. FURIA players could have just talked through and discuss with MIBR, they didnt do the right thing imo. That was a childish and immature behavior, how cant you see this? If you see something wrong you have to try and change it, wtf? He just said the clips looked indeed fishy, and we all have to agree on that
2020-07-05 02:56
It was not the responsible thing to do. Was it respectful and responsible to make a Twitter video mid-game shit talking the other team? If so, why is it okay for MIBR to do it but not okay for FURIA to let their coach do the talking? There are much better ways to fix it, such as taking it up with the summit organizers in private. There was absolutely no need to go public with his concers. He knew what would happen, and because of it an innocent (until proven guilty) 16-year old was recieving death threats.
2020-07-05 11:08
actually searched SPUNJI Fallen on twitter, look what ive found: twitter.com/FalleNCS/status/836321680494.. How an asshole, wow
2020-07-05 02:48
That's a tweet from 2017, I was adressing recent events. This is irrelevant. And SPUNJ calling him out was a clip on HLTV Confirmed, not a tweet. Link: youtube.com/watch?v=QyxKVLsXOYU One of the most respected and veteran analysts in the scene is sitting here crying because of what FalleN did. It's disgusting. I'd be very happy to respect him if he never did this shit again, he's still a great player. But this is just the tip of the iceberg of a lot of scummy shit.
2020-07-05 02:51
First of all: this was a biased video lmao. "Lets bring out every ppl that will agree with me and oh, lets choose a proplayer, why not device? a person ho already had problems with brazil good idea". For the chat part: art only said that guerri would take charge after several messages from kng literally begging for their response. If you look up to them as legends, why dont treat them with freaking respect and just give the satisfaction? wtf? Was i supposed to cry watching this? wtf. Probably one of the worst videos ive seen. The crying part was actually ridicolous. It's amazing how he's asuming they were so shocked and sad and stuff, which they afterwards literally said they didnt give a shit and only knew what was going one after. Btw, ur actually beeing part of the cancel culture lmao. Let's support the ppl who have never done ANY mistake (which, ofc, it just didnt get public yet) and hate every person who did literally one small thing "wrong" and erase all of his past.
2020-07-05 03:08
So you're saying I'm blind because I support players who have done "nothing wrong"? I think it's much more likely you are blindly supporting someone who clearly did a lot of things wrong. Believe me, if device suddenly started shitting out statements like this left and right like FalleN is, I wouldn't support him either. I don't understand how you can support someone who SHIT TALKED THE ENEMY TEAM MID GAME just because "the other team didn't respond to the immediately aww now i'm sad". On top of this you're completely disregarding the topic of the video. The topic of discussion wasn't if FURIA did the right thing in the server, is was that MIBR did the wrong thing outside the server and it had big consequences they should have seen coming. I don't really care what caused FalleN to do this. Someone who does it at all deserves no respect, no matter who they are.
2020-07-05 11:15

Who is an asshole on fnatic?
2020-07-05 02:45
Jw Called ropz a cheater The clip where he refused the handshake from nip and shouted abuse at them I like him though
2020-07-05 02:48
Well it's pretty much just shit talking and power moves that comes from bloated pro ego. On the other hand, MiBR was fined for actual racism, weaponised fans to pressure and tilt a team of young players that's way better then them, and ruined several carreers of other young players just because those talents couldn't carry them
2020-07-05 02:55
Fan of NRG cause I watched an Overwatch streamer and esports player called Harbleu back when Overwatch first came out in 2016, and he played for NRG. Then when I got into CS:GO I decided to support their CS:GO team back when they had the old BIG roster and ptr. Now am sad cause they switch to EG and I don't support them. Waiting for NRG to make a comeback that will never happen.
2020-07-05 01:54
Maybe they will pick up the ze pug gods
2020-07-05 02:10
Do you still like the EG players, even if you dislike the org? Just curious.
2020-07-05 11:18
I like Brehze, Ethan and CeRq but I'm not too hot on the other two. Tarik is alright I guess.
2020-07-06 20:59
Then we agree. I have no real opinion on the org, I only came back into the scene with the Berlin Major, so I never really got to know them as NRG before they swapped. Having read up on their history, though, I'm a big fan of Ethan and the other two, mixed feelings about tarik and dislike stan. Big daps fan, though.
2020-07-06 21:06
Yeah I liked daps, it was a pity when they kicked him out for stan but they did start seeing results. It was just sad for me to see an org I'd supported for two years suddenly go out of the scene. I decided not to support EG cause I've been tied to NRG for too long and I'm not a fan of stanislaw
2020-07-06 21:08
Yeah, really happy for daps in Gen.G though. I'm more of a Gen.G fan than EG.
2020-07-06 21:09
I enjoy watching their matches, but I always find myself rooting for EG even though I know I shouldn't if that makes sense lol
2020-07-06 21:13
Yeah I gotcha, I wanna see Brehze, Ethan and CeRq bring home another NA Major, but I really don't want tarik to be a 2x Major winner lol

Budapest Five because flag checks out 😎 As far as top 30 teams, I don't really have a favorite, but it's always fun to root for the underdogs
2020-07-05 02:12
I don't think I'm a fan of one team in particular, at least not in the same way most people on this site seem to be, die hard fans that will not tolerate any criticism of their team. I think Na'vi is probably the team I want to see win a major the most just because I think S1mple has worked hard in his career and it would be nice to see him rewarded but honestly I don't think he could win one with the team he has. I like a few teams, BIG, Complexity because they have kind of an underdog feel to them even though they are so skilled. I like the fun confident play-style Fnatic show on their good days. I liked the dedication of the Astralis team and how they basically changed the entire game of counter strike and set an era of almost complete consistency. There are loads of teams to like for different reasons and none of them are MIBR.

100 Thieves, It always makes a team more likable when they are the only good team from their region, Vox Eminor/Renegades/100 Thieves has represented the entirety of Australia and Oceania. I'm not from that place but I love those places. Secondly those guys always seemed so cool and chill, I always remember that clip of their voice comms where they were down 15-3 and I think Havoc said "Save for next?" And they all laughed. They were also underdogs the entire time and everyone loves an underdog. Also they had a little success which gave me hope, like when they beat Titan at cologne. I've been watching them bomb out of majors during the challengers stage for a couple years but finally starting at Katowice 2019 they had a breakthrough of success, Liazz and Gratisfaction revitalized the team and I've never been happier to be a fan...its a lot easier to be a fan when your team can win lol. I went to Blast Pro Series Los Angeles to see them play and I was their only fan there, they only won 1 game and tied twice but I stayed for the whole day and cheered, the arena was small and they had fan sections, I was the only one sitting in their section so they looked at me and waved at me, it was so special to see someone you've idolized for at least 5 years wave at you, they even took a picture with me and signed my jersey. I'll always be a fan of jks AZR jkaem Liazz and Gratisfaction no matter who they are playing for or how bad they are doing, those guys are like heros to me and have inspired me to try my best to get better at cs, they'll always have a special place in my heart.
2020-07-05 02:40
Great story! Do you think they will make roster changes in the near future?
2020-07-05 02:40
I really don't think they will, Kassad said in one of his interviews that he wanted to make a roster change but when he brought it up they decided that they would rather keep the 5 of them rather than Kassad and Kassad left. All of the players have potential or have already been realized as stars, AZR can frag with everyone else and he is the igl, Liazz can frag really good and he is SUPER good in the clutch, Gratisfaction has shown to be a top 10 player in the world when hes on, the problem is he needs to find a way to do it consistently, jkaem is a really good player and they've said in interviews that hes really good for team morale too, jks is the best player Oceania has ever produced.
2020-07-05 02:49
It’s a weird situation as there doesn’t really seem to be a weak link in the team. Selling jks to faze/mouz/liquid might be a reasonable option for them
2020-07-05 02:50
I dont think they'd ever do that, it would be like selling their relevancy
2020-07-05 03:49
It would be financially advantageous and I think they could still be a top 20 team without him. I think jks has to leave this team at some post if he wants to be remembered
2020-07-05 03:52
I think if he leaves he would be remembered much differently than if he stayed, right now 100 Thieves is in a transition period where they are going from the hype of Kassad to the strategic approach of ImAPet, Kassad was the guy who brought the hype to the team and encouraged the team from behind their backs, but in the role of coach he didnt do as much to prepare them for matches as most higher level coaches would. In ImAPet's first interview after joining he made a point to say that 100 Thieves never did any demo reviews to prepare for matches, they didnt go into games with counter strats, they just went into games saying "we have a plan built around ourselves and ourselves only and we are going to follow it". This is not the best approach to the game, if they went in with a strategy to play against their opponents specifically and being able to prey on the weaknesses of specific teams they'd be able to win so many more games, we can already see the effects of this, 100 Thieves picked Overpass against Gen.G. Neither Gen.G nor 100 Thieves ever plays Overpass, this pick wasnt "we are good on this map so we are going to go in and win because we are better than them" this pick was "Overpass is the weakest map of Gen.G and since they think we are going to ban it, they wont, so we are going to pick it and since Gen.G is bad on Overpass we will win it easily" and they did, they came in with basic knowledge of how to play Overpass, which Gen.G doesnt possess and they won it 16-8. That was a really long explanation to say, 100 Thieves has a chance to be better than they've ever been and if he abandoned them at their point of most hope then even if he had success the entirety of Oceania would think "If only he stayed" and hes probably had chances to leave before but hes been on the team for over 6 years, when Jason Lake announced his juggernaut before he had a final lineup he randomly followed jks and Gratisfaction on twitter, now that's weak evidence but I wouldnt be suprised if Jason Lake tried to negotiate with the two players on Renegades with the highest peaks, especially right at the end of their contracts. I dont think jks would abandon 100 Thieves, jks and AZR is one of the longest standing duos in cs history and in my eyes jks is too loyal to leave the Boys and to be honest I pray to God that he never leaves us. Sorry for making this so long but I had a lot to say about this.

Mibr I have this condition. I am highly retarded and angry 24/7, thats why I love mibr.
2020-07-05 02:49
Godsent because I'm impressed what the players accomblished in one year. They went from an orgless team to a top 15-10 team. I also like the players especially Maden. I'm also a huge BIG fan because of tabseN. He is carrying the german scene so hard since 3 years and has one of the best personalities in cs imo and I only Wish tabseN the best and hope that he will win som big events in the future
2020-07-05 02:50
I had been following this godsent roster since they almost eliminated mouz from the minor and it is nice to see how far they’ve come

Renegades/100T. Watched Nifty come from COD to CS so followed his journey. He joined Renegades and I started to become a big Jks fan in the process. I bought my first jersey after IEM Sydney 2018. Honestly was not suprised by their roster change nearing the end of 2018. 2019 was an amazing year for the boys as well so obviously it played off. Even if Nifty has been shady with the Envy org and players he is still one of my favorite players in the scene right now. He still has those Nifty moments in the server every once in a while. Weird being an American as a fan of an Australian team, but I have gotten to learn their culture a lot more. Sucks I cannot buy a 100T jersey because of their unavailability but I guess I will just support them by watching all the boys matches from now.

Na'Vi because I started to watch esport in 2009, I liked Edward, markeloff, Zeus then in 2009 december Na'Vi was created, I cheered for them and they won 4 majors in a row. I'm not really satisfied with the current roster but I have hope in Na'Vi, also in 2016 I started to watch dota because I was interested in how is it so I watched a Na'Vi match since then I'm playing dota 2 as well. Sometimes I even watch matches of the PUBG roster of Na'Vi. For several years I get to know their CEO Yevhen Zolotarov (HarisPilton), we played sometimes dota together, sadly I only know basic words in russian, he is a nice guy, we are at the same rank in dota. Also once he gave me an info when there was a roster change in Na'Vi years ago, I asked him when they will announce the new player and he told me the exact day meanwhile people on twitter, like Thorin was guessing the dates when it will happen.

Vox/Renegades/100T because they are the only relevant team from our region. All seem like really chill and kind guys. Were the underdogs most of the time, but now they are potential event winners (on LAN). Just a cool story.

2020-07-08 09:15
For europe is Navi definitely, they have to be one of the first teams i started watching with the old roster of flamie electronic s1mple zeus and edward and flamie was by far my favorite player even though he was streaky. Rn its perfecto since his playstyle is interesting to me. In Na its 100T even though they fell off, i just love the rosters players and my favorite is Liazz
2020-07-08 09:34
G2 and Faze because of kenny and kovac bros
