There are a million good songs in english so I don't really have a favourite. But I play the guitar and these are my favourite ones: youtube.com/watch?v=fDqSZNYERag youtube.com/watch?v=Ssk31OKml4A

You got me, since I don't really listen to songs from my country.
2020-07-06 13:31
I remember Chorão, when I was a kid (it feels like it was 100 years ago), he was on an episode of Viva La Bam. He did a concert on top of a mountain in Rio. Here is my favourite song in swedish: Cornelis Vreeswijk & Östen Warnebring - Ågren youtube.com/watch?v=ludLJ4BKoIU Cornelis Vreeswijk went to Brazil in the 1960's for inspiration and produced his own samba-music with swedish lyrics. Here is one of the songs he made: Cornelis Vreeswijk - Papillas samba youtube.com/watch?v=2qQ7Z4m__jY
2020-07-06 13:32
is Cornelis Vreeswijk a Swedish singer?? His last name looks kinda dutch tbh
2020-07-06 13:39
Half swedish, half dutch. His family left Holland when he was like 5 years old or something like that. He spoke dutch and also sang a little bit in dutch.
2020-07-06 13:44
never heard of him before but listened to some of his Dutch songs and tbh his Swedish songs are 10x better xd
2020-07-06 13:51
The incredible thing is, despite singing in his second language, he is considered (by people that are supposed to know what they are talking about) to be one of the best, if not the absolute best swedish songwriter. I myself think that he IS indeed the best swedish songwriter.
2020-07-06 13:59
does he have like a little accent when singing in Swedish or does it all sound very fluently?
2020-07-06 19:06
Fully fluent, no accent whatsoever. Nobody would ever know that he was born in another country if it wasn't for his name.
2020-07-06 19:12
damn that's pretty good I guess, considering he acc lived in The Netherlands till he was 13
2020-07-06 19:13
Yea, very impressive musical ability.
2020-07-06 19:16
I really envy people that learn another language and speak with no accent. Mens, how do I gain that superpower? I would be so proud of myself. :(
2020-07-06 19:39
Me too. I wish I could speak spanish and/or portuguese fluently and with no accent of course.
2020-07-06 19:41
Do you have interest in Portuguese?
2020-07-06 19:42
Well, I'm interested in Brazil and they speak portuguese so I like the language by default sort of.
2020-07-06 19:47
Read. #41. Add some Brazilians to Steam. I've been to Brazil a billion times and was able to communicate perfectly but with a heavy accent, but everything went kinda well. Learned a lot better than English, actually. Don't be ashamed to add Brazilians to Steam, they absolutely love foreign people and will do anything to help you learn Portuguese.
2020-07-06 19:50
Sure. What I have done in the past is that I listen to brazilian music and I search for translations of the portuguese lyrics online and then I try to remember phrases and words.
2020-07-06 19:54
My tip to your is lsitening to songs while reading the subtitles in Portuguese itself rather than in your language. When I started doing that, I started to learn a lot faster.
2020-07-06 20:24
I didn't know about him i really liked his music style

@OP my Brazilian friends and even Portuguese ones recommended me Charlie Brown and I loved it! You have good taste. I became a huge fan of this band because this dude had an amazing appealing voice, and opened doors to me to learn tons of Portuguese to be able to talk to my Portuguese-speaking friends. My favorite from CBJ is surely Me Encontra and Senhor Do Tempo. Portuguese is a gorgeous language and sounds angelic when it is sang. Respect, sir. My favorite song in my language is this: youtube.com/watch?v=cQ_fc6jMDcE No words, because I am silent.
2020-07-06 19:17
So good to known charlie brown has fans outside of Brazil i love me encontra too pontes indestrutíveis, céu azul, só os loucos sabem, so many good songs <3 Idk If you have listen but If you don't i recommend to you cpm 22, jota quest and capital inicial all my favorites bands from here too they are amazing Here my favorite from every Band Jota quest la plata: m.youtube.com/watch?v=yVbu_snLLgQ Capital inicial a sua maneira: m.youtube.com/watch?v=nXLyy2ALJE4 Cpm 22 um minuto para o fim do mundo: m.youtube.com/watch?v=RsEeyZNiwUk
2020-07-07 11:01
Yup I definitely know all these suggestions, specially um minuto para o fim do mundo. Awesome lyrics. I guess having half-boomer Brazilian friends really helps. :D You really have good stuff going on in Brazil but unfortunately a bit hard to find with all the funk culture going on. :( Portuguese is perfect to sing.
2020-07-07 11:07
Hahaha i glad you known i really love this three bands funk is too much meme for me XD Yeah brazil has a lot of good musics too bad my favorites singers died :/ (Chorão and Cristiano Araújo) Idk If you known cristiano araujo he sings sertanejo most of his songs are about love/heartbroken i really love his songs My favorite caso indefinido: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ho8KxDgO9DY
