Dangit. I would say out of all the "popular" animes I've watched, Bleach is the worst one so far. myanimelist.net/animelist/InsipidAsh03 is my list.

For real? I already thought it was bad from the very first episode when (SPOILER ALERT) main character meets someone for 10 minutes, the person tells him to kill himself and he 100% goes for it without hestitation. Then he goes ham with the ability to swing a huge sword effectively and knowing what exactly to do, and powers like sensing Spirit Ribbons without any explanations or backstory. And I haven't really seen any explanations for these things yet on the 70th episode. As well as Orihime and Chad having these powers with no explanation either thus far. Usually with anime you have a backstory as to how they got these things and some explanation for it, I didn't manage to get anything here. Plus the fact every single top level character (there's like 18 of them) didn't die after full lengthy bloody battles against each other was a bit of a letdown. I may as well give up, cheers.

In Naruto itself? I've watched every filler episode and I think there are a few which are decent and interesting, but if you ask me if they're on par with the story itself, I'd say no. They are essentially entirely filler and none needs to be watched if you really want to enjoy yourself. Unlike Bleach, where the filler actually ties in with the ends/beginning of the canon episodes and fucks with it, which is really annoying..
