best case scenario: renault gets 2022 regulations right and alonso has a chance to win the WDC
worst case scenario: alonso gets ez money for 2 years
good move for alonso imo
i think it's only gonna be slightly better than kubica's return, he's gonna get spanked by ocon easily, but sure, good move to earn some easy money for him and probably a good marketing move for renault
Alonso and Kimi in the same team would be awesome
My guess is that this is part of a bigger program, to attract and tutor younger racers. Not about winning (altough he can), but a mid-long term movement.
I think this is good. Alonso has a unique driving style and he can get on Hamilton's nerve hehe
Hell No, give youngsters a chance on the grid!
Xabi alonso doesnt even play anymore
Would've preferred kubica
We'll see if he does either a jaques villeneuve or a schumacher OR he does either an Alain Prost or a Niki Lauda. I think he will still be good though because he hasn't stop racing in other series.
Bad move, he won't win shit again, like in Mclaren but He does It because he loves the sport, he doesn't need to prove anything at this point. F1 will be exciting though
i have nothing against is comeback but why did he "retired" then?? you make a good bye fiesta to then comeback?...
Too old for F1 at this point imo. Him and Räikkönen and all the other old farts should just retire to make space for young gifted drivers. But it's F1, which has nothing to do with talent, more about money and politics so no surprise. It's good decision for Alonso for easy free money but bad for everything else, including the sports.
Won't matter. He won't suck ass but will probably share the same fate with Ricciardo, engine fail-10th place-engine fail-crash-engine fail-8th place- engine fail-12th place-engine fail
dude is 38 and mega rich, so if he's coming back it can only mean he really likes racing in F1.
power to him if he managed to get a seat to have some fun. I doubt he'll suck.
He join Renault and remove Ricciardo or Ocon???
Hopefully doesn't end up like schumacher
tho i fear for sainz
with how ferrari is looking, his move might've been worse
I miss old drivers like Alonso, so yes it's exaiting to see him again ;)
He's still a solid driver, and at the very least he'll be able to get the most out of the renault cars, and be very good to improve Ocon. Don't see him actually winning anything, be lucky to get a podium tbh, but still nice to see him back
McLaren > All
