If optimized properly, Linux can achieve better fps in games tho, it's just not the main gaming system and that's why games aren't really that good working there. But the potential is definitely there. If i didn't have to use windows, i wouldn't.

I/O operations are super slow in WIndows. There are many reasons why Linux gaming can be done better. It's not as bloated. However, the tools aren't there. Native games work well, and so do many Wine games, but for example I can't seem to get rid of mouse acceleration in some Wine games. There is no RInput.exe either. Emulators work better in Linux though. Such as RetroArch. It's pain to manage in Windows, and in Linux it's just few clicks away.

I mean all the bs services and unnecessary executables aren't running in the background on linux so that's already a good start, but it's a shame some programs straight up doesn't work on linux. I would love to switch but i can't. What do you think about running a virtualized windows on a linux system ? Do you think it's practical ? Cuz i might try that

> What do you think about running a virtualized windows on a linux system ? Do you think it's practical ? Cuz i might try that I do that specifically for MS Office, because LibreOffice isn't really a competition unlike many Linux programs which are just as good in most cases. My Windows VM doesn't even have network access. And even if it had, it wouldn't share my hardware IDs with Microsoft, given that it only sees the VM. I think it's a great idea.

Allegedly, you get better fps. I have been thinking about switching to it myself since I am having a few stability issues with Windows...
