motorsport.com/f1/news/vettel-red-bull-2.. So his only option now is Racing Point or an Alonso break? Or will Red Bull do another 180?
2020-07-10 13:14
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.

Too sophisticated for your 2Head. Gotcha. Enjoy watching some cars go in a circle buddy.
2020-07-10 13:17
driving the same lap 70 times must be extremely fun
2020-07-10 13:17
Isn't Nascar 200 laps in a circle or oval?
2020-07-10 13:18
imagine watching nascar
2020-07-10 13:19
Well, it's the best you Americans could come up with so that's saying something.
2020-07-10 13:20
only rednecks watch motorsports, we have so many great sports, there is no need to watch this garbage
2020-07-10 13:21
I read this in trump's voice
2020-07-10 13:54
what are those 'great' sports? apart from basketball
2020-07-10 14:39
mma, boxing, american football for example. i don't enjoy watching baseball but some people do, i also love watching soccer, mainly outside of america but i do watch the mls occasionally.
2020-07-10 14:41
mma and boxing are super popular in basically every country who says you can't watch them and also watch/enjoy f1?
2020-07-10 14:44
nobody, i just said we have so many good sports we don't need to watch cars drive the same lap 70 times.
2020-07-10 15:02
you don't but i do...i actually very much enjoy it the same case can be made for every single sport, be it motor or not do we need to see people kicking a ball 90+ minutes? do we need to see people trading punches for 30 minutes? yeah...
2020-07-10 15:04
i think youre taking this too seriously, whats wrong with shitting on other sports?
2020-07-10 15:07
if you're gonna shit on other sports, do it in a irrefutable way for instance, about f1 you could say only has fake overtake because of shit like DRS and how it works in that sport...nobody can deny that there were quite a few bad decisions in the last years to make f1 'more entertaining' but kinda failed
2020-07-10 15:15
Seriously, I'm ashamed of people like you. I don't care if it is EU, NA or anywhere, people like you are shameful.
2020-07-10 15:11
why is that?
2020-07-10 15:13
No need to explain, you did by yourself. Anyone with a little bit of coherence will find out.
2020-07-10 15:14
explain it for people without any level of coherence please

It actually kinda is, though i do think that Rally is more entertaining. The commentators makes it really engaging and does a good job explaining the strategy and what the teams are doing, and filling out the boring parts of the race with banter etc (kinda the same way CSGO commentators carry boring games if you think about it). You also get to listen in on the team radios and live interviews from the team leaders, which is neat. There is a lot of shit going on in an F1 race that you might not consider at first glance, it's far from just driving in an oval.
2020-07-10 13:33
+1 the f1 race in austria was pretty entertaining
2020-07-10 14:01
it’s actually the first race i’ve watched fully in a long time, maybe i’m just more invested, but it had constant drama a film couldn’t have been written better
2020-07-10 14:11
yeah true, since it was the first race this year nobody knew where which team was standing, so it was incredibly fun to see everybody fight for positions. combined with the drama of kimi loosing a wheel and other problems it was the best race i watched in years :D im so happy for norris btw, been a huge fan of him for years and finally hes on the podium <3

He's been driving pretty badly these past few years to be hired as the first driver on a big team and he's too troublesome (and probably too expensive) to be a wingman to a faster driver. I wouldn't mind seeing him in Racing Point (Aston Martin) next season because I still think he can be entertaining for the sport but I think his days in big teams are long gone and I'm not sure he's ok driving for a smaller team.

Verstappen and Albon are really good and they have lots of years in front of them. Why would a top-tier team would risk one of them for just "good ol' days"? My pick is Alfa Romeo, he'll take Raikkönen's place(he might retire) and mentor Giovinazzi. They are not a lost cause(yet) like Haas or Williams so it is a better option for Seba.
2020-07-10 13:28
They're quick on the path to lost causes looking at their current form. I don't know if Vettel enjoys the sport enough (like Raikkonen does) to stick it out with some backmarkers or even a middle of the pack team. Racing Point has a good enough trajectory and Vettel has even shown interest in them so outside of them, I can see him taking a break.
2020-07-10 13:30
Racing point will be "mission failed" if Lance begs his daddy for money to bribe them.
2020-07-10 13:34
Bribe them for what? They already own the team lol
2020-07-10 13:37
I think Kimi stays in alfa next year, he wants to break the most gps started record.
2020-07-10 15:19
Tifosi rn.
2020-07-10 13:30
It could still be Mercedes. They said they 'll stick with their current lineup but it's not set in stone just yet and anything can happen.
2020-07-10 13:29
True, seems highly unlikely though especially with how Bottas seems to get stronger each year even if he has yet to keep the pressure on Hamilton throughout the year. But all Merc need him to do is secure the manufactures championship so the current team dynamic is pretty much perfect for them.

I think he'll take a break and will come back to f1; like wht Alonso and Schumi did, or maybe retire.
2020-07-10 13:36
Speaking of Alonso, think any of his pace will have dropped off like Schumi on his return?

I don't think so but as you can see in my flag, I'm a bit biased. Though Alonso hasn't stopped racing (WEC, Indy, Dakkar) unlike Schumacher, so he shouldn't be too 'rusty'. Also the german was getting better season after season before he was replaced for Hamilton.
2020-07-10 13:48
Agreed, I find it hard to imagine his skills dulling so quickly even without his activities dabbling in other motorsports.

If Racing Point (Aston Martin next year) have a proper car, maybe Vettel will be interested in joining them. But Perez brings alot of money to the team and Stroll there's no need to explain :\ I dont really see other seats he might be interested.
2020-07-10 13:37
Aston Martin's 2021 car is already leading this year championship so it should be pretty good lol
2020-07-10 13:39
What?

Yea it is, but next year cars are the same as this year with updates so i dont think Mercedes will give them something "major", unless they give them early 2020 parts But i always expect the unexpected in formula 1 so :D
2020-07-10 13:52
Indeed. We shall see.
2020-07-10 14:01
Yes but its not the leading car
2020-07-11 08:38
I don't think you understood lol. "Aston Martin's 2021 car" ie. this years W11 Merc, which is leading the constructors championship after the first race.
2020-07-11 10:54
There are other investors in racing point that are obviously interested in winning and not this loser kid Stroll, so if they are smart, they will offer Seb a good deal anyways
2020-07-10 13:40
I doubt any of them have the expendable capital that daddy Stroll does though. And I think Stroll himself may raise a few eyebrows this season, especially if he can get his shit together in qualifying.
2020-07-10 14:02
Perez is a good driver just Stroll sucks

Donno why but I can't stand that guy... And it got worsed after that incident in brazil with Leclerc.
2020-07-10 14:11
Imagine picking Albon over Vettel
2020-07-10 14:17
bro Vettel's 2019 season was beyond the worst expectations, he was one of the most disappointing drivers! he's a 4 times champion surprisingly in a rather scary downhill
2020-07-10 14:23
Still leagues above Albon, that guy is 24 years old and a mediocre driver, even Hulkenberg is better than him
2020-07-10 14:29
c'mon albon isn't sainz, perez or norris but he's still not bad
2020-07-10 14:38
The pace was still there, more or less. But the mistakes were too many.
2020-07-10 14:29
mistakes that took away not only his own race but his teammate's. he came as a nice guy in redbull to a total jerk reckless old fart Leclerc's partner in Ferrari.
2020-07-10 14:37
I don't think Vettel has ever been that great under pressure. Most of his best drives when he won his 4 championships were without much pressure from Webber and driving off into the distance but he crumbled in 2014 with the new cars and Ricciardo as his teammate.
2020-07-10 14:43
Wasn't one of his championships won on the last race? I don't remember what happened but he dropped lots of positions and finished 5th or 6th to get the championship Edit: Yeah it was 2012 Brazil race, he took the championship from Alonso
2020-07-10 16:04
Yeah that was a crazy race. Shifting through midfielders is one thing but being put directly under pressure by a strong teammate or championship rival is another story and something he doesn't have the greatest track record on.
