RTX 2060 pointless for csgo
2020-07-12 02:36
how do u know hes only gonna be playing csgo and nothing else
2020-07-12 14:34
saying that gpu is irrelevant for cs is just... so.fucking.stupid.
2020-07-12 14:37
So people cannot play games other than CSGO?
2020-07-12 14:40

I've been happy as hell with my AMD gpus. I don't wanna go into AMD Vs Intel bullshit but saying AMD gpus are troublesome is idiotic.

Yeah but their drivers are so irrelevant lol

yes but don't ever use this website
2020-07-12 03:12
why?
2020-07-12 04:41
they have a terrible reputation. I think a lot of reddit sub banned them because their results didn't match up with any other tests and they are pretty intransparent. but I mean you were right in this case
2020-07-12 04:46
hm, do you know any good websites
2020-07-12 05:01
I use techspot a lot, e.g. this article might be relevant: techspot.com/article/2051-ryzen-3300x-vs.. linustechtips is pretty popular too, tomshardware
2020-07-12 14:10
are you crazy? they literally get all their results from people who test their hardware using their benchmark program
2020-07-12 16:31
yeah but they weight the results, e.g. they claim certain type of performance isn't relevant
2020-07-12 16:37
is this some kind of rumour or do they actually state this, idrk myself, i just use the website to see price to performance for cpus and such
2020-07-12 16:39
there was a whole drama like a year ago: youtube.com/watch?v=uZiAbPH5ChE&feature=.. also it's not really a conspiracy or anything. you can use cpus for different tasks. even within gaming not all perform the same in different games.

Eh anyone already using that site is going to get what they need from it anyway. The variation is rankings on that site would only effect hardcore PC builders, who in honesty shouldn't be using that site anyway. A 1060 6gb is slightly better than a 970. Not sure if it's 11% better, or 15% better, but it gets the same message across. It fits the super casual PC user pretty well. Especially if they want to avoid a bunch of technical mumbo jumbo and deep dives into the build.

do you have case? do you have monitor? get rtx 2060 super if you're gonna spend that much on gpu, or just get something like 1660 super 144hz monitor is also worth it, ssd is also worth

idk if he wants to buy all that in one go. I'd probably buy the pc and get the monitor later. Never know whats gonna happen or what kind of emergencies you might need that money for.

What's your psu?
2020-07-12 03:14
got the computer from a friend so no psu sticker but i do know its 550 watt
2020-07-12 15:40
get a new psu then, don't risk these valuable components by hooking them up with some chinese nonames.

It's a good pc. I don't know how much profit they're making but I don't think you'd save that much if you bought all the parts at this particular time.

you would have saved like $60 building it yourself

if currency british pounds, then yes.
2020-07-12 14:54
To buy the parts on partpicker it comes to £860...
2020-07-12 16:47
uff. ok then, I guess it's fine then. I must admit, didn't do the math but it seemed a bit overpriced to me.
2020-07-13 01:42
How on this Earth is it overpriced if it less than cost on Part Picker ?
2020-07-13 01:45
apparently it is not, I meant I thought it was.
2020-07-13 01:58
Ok m8 :) I just hope it's good'ish for CSGO. My PC freezes if it goes over 50 degrees C. Am really angry that i had to get a new one. Not buying Intel again.
2020-07-13 02:27
the RIG is great, you'll be fine.
2020-07-13 11:16
if its for csgo only , ryzen 3 3300x is cheaper and will give u more fps than r5 3600
2020-07-12 05:12
Ryzen 3 3300X is not available atm... No stock of that part.

If youre not using ray tracing go for a 5700XT
2020-07-12 05:13
Depends on what you're doing with it For just cs get a worse GPU and better CPU

2020-07-12 14:14
for future proof, buy b550, and dram downgrade to 3000 and do daily overclock to 3600 and do the same with the cpu, profit
2020-07-12 14:20
you can get msi b450m pro vdh max and ballistix 3200@cl16 and save like 40-50$ and get 2060 super instead

get a 1660ti instead, its cheaper and the same performance ofc u dont get ray tracing :DDD
2020-07-12 14:43
not even close to same performance, 15-20 fps difference it's a lot, but if he plan's to play in csgo you might be right ^^

Yes.
2020-07-12 15:30
idk, the difference between 1660ti and 2060 is about 60-110 EU for me, i think it's worth to overpay, depends on the GPU tho
2020-07-12 15:32
maybe do not buy a 20xx card when 30xx is about to come out? same goes for your cpu
2020-07-12 15:17
why? it's always like that, when you want to build pc and there's a next gen of cpu/gpu coming, if you decides to wait for it you will need to wait 6 month, and than will wait until the price's will down xD
2020-07-12 15:28
when the new generation comes out the stores will clean their shelves to fill them up with the new generation, resulting in lower prices for the older cards. happens every single time.
2020-07-12 16:29
the novadays prices for old gpu's cpu's doesnt changed too much, it's not worth to wait to save that little amount of money, if we talks about high end pc ofc
2020-07-12 17:25
but hes going for a 2060 not 2080 ti. also if we talk about high end pc's why not just get a newer generation card and enjoy the 20-30% performance boost?

Except for the RAM that is exactly what I am running and I am really happy with it. It runs pretty much every title at least in an enjoyable fashion and CS runs with 200 fps almost constantly.
2020-07-12 15:31
how only 200 fps u playing 1440 max settings?

Im playing 1920x1080 with overall medium settings. I dont know how high the fps always is, I just knew that sometimes it dips under 200 but most of the time it is closer to 300 than to 200. Also I am running a secondary monitor off of the same graphics card, which should affect the performance.
2020-07-20 08:44
Looks good, you may be able to go cheaper on the motherboard without bottlenecking though (maybe around a 100 dollars).
2020-07-12 15:32
yes get a good X470 motherboard and this ram amazon.com/G-SKILL-Flare-288-Pin-Memory-.. its one of the cheapest B-Die kit and can yield you good overclock results. also ryzen can scale really well with ram speed in some games.
2020-07-12 17:01
unless you want to overclock, you can get the cheapest motherboard possible
2020-07-12 19:16
overclocking with ryzen may not be the most profitable, but ram overclocks can elevate the performance and dont cost a lot so its always advisable to get a good motherboard unless you are on a really strict budget

Ye I'd also stay away from that 2060, idk how much money it is where u wanna buy it, but in my country I can get the MSI 1080Ti for the same price
2020-07-12 19:16
yeah change the 3600 for a threadripper and the 2060 for a titan rtx
2020-07-13 01:52
