I live in a fairly posh area in the country, you can practically buy a mansion here with that money tbh.

It's listed for 2 million, doesn't mean it's act going to sell for two million. Most nice home on sunset Avenue are around that price, but that clearly isn't.

I mean LA is a shithole lolololololoolololol.
2020-07-13 02:06
I mean our house was 1.5 when we bought it and its not that great either.. property values in some places are nuts, also if you rebuild that house it can be decent if its on good property
2020-07-13 02:13
I know a guy who iherited his father's land that cost 1 million back in the day and its around 4 hectares
2020-07-13 10:35
well thats a lot bigger than ours;D
2020-07-13 18:06
we have 6 acres of land in Switzerland and my uncle tried to sell it for 100K xDXD i told him that is costs much more and that he has to wait to make moni and sell it when u need it the most
2020-07-13 18:12
Very curious
2020-07-13 20:22
100K frank for clarification
2020-07-13 21:29
Edit: 6 hectares i am stupid

Our house was initially built in 2004 (finished 2006) for a total of 1.4M Euros when the purchased ground is taken into account as well. The total area of the home is 1200 square meters. The house has: - 4 stories - 4 toilets - 3 bathrooms - 5 bedrooms - 600 square meters of living area So yeah, I'd say you can get about 5-7x as much over here as you can get over there. In terms of location, 20 minutes drive to the center of one of the country's biggest cities. Not to mention it's fully built out of stone, neat garden, etc. as opposed to that shack-looking thing.

4 stories bro are you fielding an army or why do you need that much space
2020-07-13 11:23
Don't necessarily 'need' all the space but it's still filled up you know. There's plenty of bigger houses that truly make you question what the point of the space is. A few of the rooms in our house could probably be combined and it wouldn't affect anyone negatively, aside from that it's used up on convenience. We were a family of 5 when the house was built, at this point there's 4 of us living here with one being out the majority of the time. Selling the house in favor of something smaller (less work to upkeep too) is the plan in the near future.

600m2, 5 bedrooms, 4 stories. yeah ok 1% represent bro
2020-07-13 11:28
Didn't say it wasn't a big house, simply comparing what you can get for the price compared to in LA. The contrast is quite shocking to say the least considering this house is not in a rural area, quite an ideal travelling distance tbh.

This is not intellectually honest, you havent said where exactly did you build such place. LA is one of the most expensive places to live in the world because everyone wants to live there. The tweet estate publication is so expensive because it is literally 24km away (14min) from Hollywood, we are talking about an extremely elite area in the world, in a state that has almost twice the population of Australia with a higher GDP than UK and India, almost as big as Germany. Not to mention the taxes, zoning laws, regulations and fees that California has. I am pretty sure that if you tried to buy 1200 M2 in the very center of Amsterdam, you'd pay waaaay over 2M EUR. Here you can see for yourself: shorturl.at/rszQR
2020-07-13 18:31
In bulgaria you can buy a castle with that money lmfao
2020-07-13 10:36
the house isnt worth shit, only the property is expensive

Close to where I live (france) I can get 500m2 with 14 rooms, 6 bedrooms, a giant garden and a view on a lake. 1'890'000€
2020-07-13 11:16
Yeah, but then you'd have to move to France
2020-07-13 18:10
I already live in france

The best deal I could find near me for €2 million is a 3 floor house with 9 rooms.
2020-07-13 11:29
People in LA make more money which is countered by the fact that they get taxed more and they also have to pay way higher rent. You'd be better off buying a shitty van going to work there for a couple years while living in the van and then moving to another state like Texas where taxi s low and getting a house there where land is pretty cheap.
2020-07-13 18:07
