Difficult to name the top 5, but on the top of my head right now, my top 5 are: - Interstellar (A masterpiece, music, scgi, story, everything is great) - Shutter Island (Great movie) - Inception (nothing like it, great movie undoubtely) - Avengers Infinity/Endgame (and the whole marvel franchise, cuz I grow up with it. Seeing how it all connects and how all movies are apart of each other with a beautiful end to Iron Man's life. Maybe its not the oscar worthy movies but I love them cuz I have grown up with the whole franchise) - Tranformers Franchise (the first movie is great, then it gets worse and worse, but still great movies and has been apart of me growing up) - Mission impossible franchise (the first franchise were the movies gets better and better instead of worse and worse. The last movie is filmed on the mountain 5 minutes away from me. And the last movie is probably the greatest action film regardings agents (better than James Bond and those types of movies) - Kingsman (Great actors, I love Colin Firth's role and his acting in that movie) An interresting take on the secret agency types of movie, and I love it. - Batman the dark night (Absolutely fantastic movie, arguable the greatest movie on my list, with stunning performance from Heath Leadger... Nobody will ever play joker better than him. I think he played him better than Joaquin Phoenix) - John Wick Franchise (The role Keanu was born to play) (Probably the greatest hitman/shooting movie there is, with accurate fight scenes and hundreds of people dead per movie. No time to breath, always action. Great movies. At this point there are many movies that could make it into the last spots, but I will go with this: - Lord of the rings and The Hobbit franchise (Great movies, I loved the first Hobbit movie, sadly the last Hobbit movie (3rd) dissapointed me quite a bit.... but for sure great movies. What is your Top 10 movies?

My top 10 are:* (Not top 5) obviously

2020-07-13 23:08
tell me your top 10 then. Ur gonna just put those Tarantino, Nolan movies that u think are sooooo gooood. Or ur gonna put some old af movies or simply unknown movies to show your such a film nerd. Just stfu dude, movies arent all about the script and that, its more than that. Its about the situation ur in watching the movie, if you grew up with the movies, if it fits your mind and is amusing to you as an individual. So please give me your top 10.....
2020-07-13 23:12
" Ur gonna just put those Tarantino, Nolan movies that u think are sooooo gooood" bro 2 out of your top 3 are made by Nolan?
2020-07-13 23:13
Yeah exactly I put my favourites movies not based on a director or if its oscar worthy or 9/10 on IMBD. I picked simply MY favourites. And those 3* Nolan movies are fantastic. But I wont put my 7 others as Tarantino, Scorsese and Nolan as well.... like many of you people will. I chose my 10 favourites not what the old fuckers at the Oscar academy choses
2020-07-13 23:16
" like many of you people will" So if you put 3 nolan films in your list you're good because you're being honest, but if someone else puts like 3 nolan films and 7 others by other famous directors he's being told what to like by the "Old fuckers at the oscar academy"? makes sense I guess 😎
2020-07-13 23:19
Bruh I give up. I was simply replying to the guy that said "0/8", that we all have our own preferences, and he shouldnt be mad at me for not putting just Tarantino, Scorsese and Nolan films in there..... I want him to show me his top 10.... And your coming into the reply misinterperating everything....
2020-07-13 23:21
You should expect someone to criticize your list when you post it, you got way too mad way too fast, and started to make assumptions, just like in #22.

2020-07-13 23:11
Yeah dude Transformers movies were sick, especially the first one. They started a new era of scgi and action movies. Absolute great movies, especially growing up with them
2020-07-13 23:12
for sure , i was so amazed as a child . Tokyo drift and transformers were the start for my car obsession and fking Bumblebee is the reason i have a yellow Camaro now
2020-07-13 23:17
EXACTLY that is what movies are about, but people dont get that. I love that you have a yellow camaro cuz of Bumblebee, NOBODY can say anything about the Transformers not being good movies. Cuz its personal preference and we all have different opinions. Transformers are great movies and idc about what anyone says :)

You should watch Donnie Darko, but at the end you will really like it or will say it's bullshit. I never saw someone being middle of this scale. It's a masterpiece imo
2020-07-14 01:04
I respect your opinion but when i saw transformers i lol'd out loud.
2020-07-13 23:13
Bro the first transformers beat any other competition during that time.... It started a new era of scgi, action and robot related movies. The first transformers was fantastic. But as I STATED, the movies got worse and worse, more cringe and just simply unwatchable. But they were still in my childhood and were GREAT. The first 1 was fantastic, the rest was Meh
2020-07-13 23:18
I agree the first transformers was dope when I first watched it as a kid

2020-07-13 23:15
I hated the Martian tbh, but the Die Hard is a good shout, but it would never hit my top 10. But thats why he have our own personal preferences :) And u should definetely watch the Shutter Island. Great movie featuring Leonardo Dicaprio and Mark Ruffalo as a duo. You can find it on Netflix

Some Danish shit movie 7. Tarantino 8. Scorsese 9. Nolan 10. Nolan Or just a list full of unknown movies u try to look cool with liking.... Inception Forest Gump Pulp Fiction The Silence Of The Lambs Full Metal Jacket American Beauty No Country For Old Men Trainspotting Deer Hunter The Big Lebowski Interstellar is a good movie right up till the end, which ruins the film. It just ruins it for me.
2020-07-14 00:08
out of interest, how does the ending ruin it for you? i felt like it was really good since it explained everything nicely.

Pushing out books from behind a shelf. If he can interact through another dimensin then why not just do it properly. He obviously can affect physical things in the other dimension (pushing books). I only watched 3 movies of Lanthimos... The Killing of a Sacred Deer,DogTooth and The lobster. I liked them all but The lobster was something else for me.
2020-07-14 00:40
i thought dogtooth was total dogshit and sacred deer would only be good if you knew about the allegory that the movie was portraying, otherwise nonsensical. i guess i have to watch it at some point though

That's understandable, you can try watch The Lobster, but i think you should read the sinopse before to make sure u want to watch. Maybe its not your deal.
2020-07-14 00:47
Well won't spend "an hour" thinking of the perfect list but it would be something like this, NOT IN ORDER. Gladiator (Awesome movie, seen it more than once, to say the least) Master and Commander (Masterpiece, if only they would have made another one) The Intouchables (10/10, seen it way more than once) Miracle in cell block nr 7(Turkish version, never cried so much ever in my life before) Blood Diamond (perfect acting from Leonardo and Djimon) Django (Seen more than once, his best?) En man som heter Ove (best Swedish movie, yes better than "Det sjunde inseglet") Slumdog millionare (seen a couple of times actually, top 10 it is) The Shawshank redemption (almost forgot this one, woops) Whiplash (Yeah why not) I have only seen pulp fiction once, maybe it desereve top 10 after second watch, haven't seen LOTR since I was a child, same with the first Pirates movie(The black pearl, perhaps top 10 no?).
2020-07-14 00:25
loool shit list 1. Taxi driver 2. Goodfellas 3. Space Odyssey 4. Schindler's List 5. Good Will Hunting 6. Django/Pulp fiction 7. Dr. Strangelove 8. Vertigo 9. Inception/Prestige 10. American Beauty/Whiplash
2020-07-14 00:32
taxi driver, pulp fiction and vertigo overrrated, otherwise good list
2020-07-14 00:36
Well tbh I think Taxi Driver is the best movie of all time but I respect ur opinion but if I may ask why do you think it is overrated? For Pulp Fiction I kinda agree I liked the movie but it is a bit overrated. Vertigo I put because of historical reason and its importance to cinema, also jimmy stewart had a stellar performance in that one with somewhat of a deep story and some great camera work
2020-07-14 00:39
its been a while since i watched so its hard to say, but i just remember not thinking it lived up to its hype. but i might have to rewatch it. same with vertigo, but i guess it was big for its time yeah
2020-07-14 00:40
Well if u watch taxi driver again I would advise you to think about camera work and how it develops the story. Also the movie is an excellent study of what is masculinity and solitude. I would point you to think about Travis and his relationship to women and his two "enemies" (politician and the pimp) that endanger his masculinity. I think that camera work is spectacular especially in the last scene and when Travis is trying to get Betsy back on the phone. I almost feel like the whole plot is a vessel with which Scorsese tells the story with camera work. Also DeNiro (best actor ever imo) gave a fucking stellar performance. Sorry for the rant i just adore the movie
2020-07-14 00:47
i will think twice about cinematography next time i watch it menss

Try to see some "Silence of the Lambs", "Pulp fiction", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", "Joker", "Se7en", "Schindler List", "Whiplash". My advice buddy. For war movies: "Hacksaw Ridge" "Saving Private Ryan" "1917" P.S. Loved "Shutter Island" a lot,
2020-07-14 01:22
seen all of them, but they didnt hit me..... Whiplash great movie, could have been on my top 10 tbh Schindler list is not good to me in 2020.... Pulp fiction not even a good movie tbh cuz its old af...... Joker is good but not close to my top 10... its personal preferences, and as I said. "Movies arent all about the script, story, acting and cinematography... its about more than that.... the impact it has on you personally, the style of movies you like, if you grew up with them and countless of other factors...." If I was meant to list the best movies according to simply the script, acting and cinematography, my list would be entirely different. But as I stated this is MY Top 10 favourite movie list
2020-07-15 17:42
I'm not gonna say i didnt judge ur list cuz i did. But i understand what u mean. For me, my favourite movies have to have those qualities u mentioned. So yeah, we have different points of view, Being old af doesn't mean it's not a good movie. If you say u don't like, im okay with that. Just dont say a movie aint good cuz it's old. sorry but Kingsman, Mission Impossible and John Wick are just generic action movies
2020-07-15 17:47
Kingsman has the best fight scene off all action movies I have ever seen (Kingsman 1. The bar fight, Colin Firth aka Galahad vs those guys. Insane fighting scene. And generally a fun and good British movie, original "secret service" movie The main end fight scene in Mission Impossible Fallout was filmed 5 minutes away from me (Pulpit Rock in Norway) And the movie has undoubtely the greatest stunts from any action movie, Tom Cruice drives a helicopter, hangs out of a helicopter and climbs into it, climbs a mountain, HOLO jumps and rides a bike fast af in Paris ALL done IRL not SCGI. Tom Cruise is a movie GOD John Wick undoubtely the best "hitman" or killing movie ever made. Keanu GOD does the stunts mostly himself, all is realistic to reality and he kills hundreds of people per movie.

1) Good Will Hunting (just a masterpiece) 2) Inglorious Bastards (so suspenseful and weirdly funny) 3) Whiskey Galore (old movie but hilarious) 4) It's a Wonderful Life (heart wrenching) 5) Dead Poet's Society (Robin Williams is a god) 6) Forest Gump (absolute classic) 7) 100 Foot Journey (great romantic story and cool for foodies) 8) The Social Network (witty and so realistic) 9) Bridge Over the River Kwai (i like war movies) 10) Parasite

Highly recommend. Pay attention to the cinematography and the dead space in the dialogue. It creates so much suspense.

I don't understand why so many put American History X in there. It's way too long and the 2 hours could easily have been cut down 30 minutes.
