maybe a bit, but it's vvay overblovvn as far as ive seen
+1 that schools promote the left and liberal
Can confirm. I go to probably the most liberal one. That said he shouldn't revoke funding.
it's true to some extend but obviously over exaggerated as usual
dunno about other fields, but in spatial development papers the anglosphere has been a laughting stock for the last 20 years for their far left bullshit
As someone currently enrolled in an American public university, yes. There are several required classes at my school mainly centered around liberal viewpoints. Subjects like history, English, but just with a liberal bias applied to it. I just laugh it off, but a young person coming into college with no prior political viewpoints could easily be persuaded, or "brainwashed" by it. I would not classify it as very "radical", however.
he is right, but he exaggerates.
there are schools like UChicago which are anti ‘safe-space’, which I think is the correct position to take. This particular school’s administration is unfortunately very arrogant about these opinions, and will not shut up about it.
they go into debt to study lesbian dance theory, women studies and how evil white people are lul
no wonder young brainwashed college students and graduates are tearing down america
It's true all of academia is run by the left
Trump is another version of Erdogan, I really don't get how he selected in a country like the United States..
and it costs 25k a year to study in one lmao
the public schools K-12 is slight indoctrination here and there but once you get into university there's a very high chance you'll be indoctrinated OD in a couple classes
Academica is leftist everywhere
is this a joke or what????
how u can trust in Donald Trump??? wtf
Nah man I never heard anything political so far at Western Michigan University so far
"Intellectuals and Society" by Thomas Sowell is all you need to know about modern academia
idk about american universities but I'll speak for canadian universities (which arguably should be more left leaning)
Every year there's someone that complains that they got a bad mark on a term paper because they argued for a right-leaning ideal, or that the teacher only gave good marks to people that agreed with their political ideals. So far, that's been proven false (at least in the institutions I have friends and family in). Those essays are often poorly written, (don't provide sources for claims, thesis is confusing, no real flow between argumentative paragraphs) and people always counter that claim by sharing their essays that score very high while arguing for right-leaning ideals.
There's always going to be a pick-and-choose bias in education; there's sometime not enough time to go into every topic in the same amount of detail, and for me that's always been communicated by the prof. That being said, higher-level education is supposed to provide the basics of the subject/field of study. Students need to do their own research on the side as well (which is what term papers are meant to do)
yes, american schools, colleges especially, are very very left leaning. even if you are in a right state the college is probably still more left leaning.
I feel like the better the degree, the less politics play a factor into it
sort of but also no. it's just a fact that the more educated you are the more likely for you to be liberal. so if you're teaching university you are likely to be liberal. it also radically depends on which university you go to. also it's definitely not indoctrination in the way Trump uses it, it just leans left.
one could argue that it's a vicious cycle but i don't think so
Makes sense, same what Jordan Peterson was saying
It really varies by teacher, major, and the university. But yes, many universities have a ton of indoctrination to the point many fear sharing their own opinions as in many cases they can lead to biased grading
This really depends on your major. I think I've maybe taken one class with leftist bs, but most students didn't really give a shit about it.
Not only what Trump has stated but even left leaning politicians are questioning the prices of college in the US most notably Andrew Yang. It is pretty obvious that colleges are scamming the government and their own students with the constantly raising tuition costs. Colleges are left leaning because of course, they overcharge for tuition so when they promote left politics they point the finger away from themselves overcharging tuition to the government not funding enough.
I mean yeah he is, great example is Berkeley university where there were literally members of staff there in the riots that were because a conservative speaker wanted to speak at the university and he assaulted a person with a bike lock.
Rioting because a conservative wanted to speak on Campus. The left used to be the party of freedom back in the 80s when the die hard Christians were in control of everything and saying rock music was the devils music now that seems to have switched around.
The left are the authoritarians in control of the major institutions brainwashing small amounts of the future generations and indoctrinating them into their marxist/socialist ideology.
Barely any entry level jobs because the Boomers shipped them overseas for better profits.
Now the same Boomers complain about young people becoming left wingers.
