People from Quebec are the only people I've ever seen consistently put the initials (QC) in their names in video games its really cringe. Imagine if Americans put USA in their names I bet you would have a good time roasting them. I like Canada and Canadians but I have not heard good things about Frenchies from Americans and Canadians alike.
That's because there's a bigger cultural gap between French Canadians and Anglo Canada than any state.
They grow up speaking a different language and they have an accent as strong as any French man, why wouldn't you choose the distinction if you may be misunderstood?
I'm confused on the argument you are trying to make. The "cultural gap" shouldn't be putting QC in your names. Nobody in Europe, even those with shitty english and thick accents have I ever seen put something as silly as FR,SWE,GER,RU,etc in their names even with such "culture gap"
Usually you just have to say some funny phrases to them in French and they perk right up and then talk to you in English. Try saying "Callisse Tabarnak". Even though those are really bad swear words, it's almost a form of endearment as it's something so engraved in their culture that it's funny.
Alberta is very headstrong, moreso than Quebec which has a right to be wary of Anglo Canada as the last part of the French heritage
Take for example, 0 sales tax in the province. Never thought you'd have a rainy day huh?
Literally has nothing to do with what I said. Why are you so salty? Also I never once claimed Albertans weren't a bunch of idiots either.
You idiot Quebecois were literally trying to divide the country. Think of it that way.
I'm neither, but I earned a living in both places. Once you grow out on your teen years you get to have an opinion on practical things.
You did attack Quebec with a far more serious charge than my mocking of their finances to be fair.
First of all, I am not a teen, you're probably like 20 so shut the fuck up.
Second, you legitimately are from a province which discriminates against religions and race. It's not just your average person doing it, it's your politicians also.
I live in Ottawa, trust me, I know what Quebec is like. It has many upsides but plenty of downsides even for me who speaks French. Yes Quebec is often discriminated but that's for a wide variety of unfavorable reasons such as being classically rude ass holes, racists, and separatists.
Not to mention Quebec is also terrible for a number of economic reasons, some of which being that it is taxed out the ass and yet still looks like the soviet union in plenty of places.
Damn I guess you truly aren't that far up above Alabama:
I may have very hastily misread Alabama as Alberta, but now you're assuming I'm from Quebec or I live there currently, which I do not
I made an ass of myself, you may have too lets just call this argument off and agree Albertans AND Alabamans are asshats
I'm not sure the Niqab has a place in a progressive society, it does feel very patriarchal. Unlike the Hijab, which I can get behind
If it underlines extremism in the province then my feelings on that would be mixed, I'm not intimate with their politics from the West Coast
I agree with the use of the Niqab being questionable, but the point of the bill was disguised to be for person identifying purposes when it very seemingly appears to be an anti muslim mentality. Truly a niqab is seriously a non issue for nearly 99.9999% of the time and it seems just as a targeted gesture that was pointless. If Quebec truly was for the rights of muslims they would have let it be because it was seriously a non issue.
