Faze Prime :
lost bo5 vs nip in the end of 2017
lost bo5 vs fnatic and bo3 vs c9
lost to every match they played against rivals sk
Astralis Prime :
dominating every single team in the scene (only elite teams can take a map in series against them)
FalleN = IGL + AWP + innovated a new style of awping
Rain = 2nd best fragger (similar to fer) and was put in really good positions
also if you watched any of 2017 you'd know the top 5-7 people were really close together, Cold and NiKo were the only guaranteed top 1-2, rest couldve been in any order
flash assists are not the only things support players do lmao
just like opening kills arent all entry fraggers do
supports also drop weapons to the star players, play shitty positions on CT side, support teammates with flashes usually sacrificing their gun for extra utility like choosing to get a famas + nades instead of m4
supports also play around the star players getting into fights that are usually finished by the stars
there is no world where s1mple and kennyS are support players they are star awpers
First one to use shotgun awping consistently (not saying others didnt obviously but he made it his style)
Invented a lot of double setups with awp (for example the play where 1 guy goes close ramp on mirage and the awp holds the angle)
Was able to IGL at the same time on the best team in the world, imagine Dev1ce having the brain of Gla1ve and doing both roles really well
Thats called strategy, and right now, fallen is washed up. What you are telling me is that he made strats around his awp and other player with awp, which doesnt create anything new to the awp unlike KennyS who played agressively and made valve nerf the awp.
1. What did fallen introduce into the awping = strategical awping, playing the numbers, playing unorthodox, inventing new strategies to set himself up better with team setups
2. FalleN being washed up now has nothing to do with what im talking about
3. Everyone pre-FalleN in tier 1 was an awper who played mid on CT and went for picks on T side, that was literally it pretty much, FalleN made it so on CT he was making strategies, setting up his team, pushing the extremeties, constantly rotating all over the map. Its delusional to say it didnt change anything
4. Have you been ignoring me? Look at #92
At this point your arguments make me believe you are a newfag and or an MiBR hater cos this is bordering on delusion or retardation.
its not about "another era" its about prime
there can be multiple eras but there can only be one single prime (peak) just like a player can have multiple superstar phases but only 1 prime
their prime ended at Katowice major, and their run post berlin has been no where near as impressive despite itself getting close to a 2nd era
did SK drove you mad in 2017?
5 t1 events, no
i mean if we're being honest with ourselves astralis took Katowice and a major that year and faze took 4 t1 events so thats not even an era for SK they were barely ahead of the rest of the scene
"they had been number one for a year before Boston winning the most tournaments in a year"
As a faze fan, I gotta ask what you were smoking, if you were even watching in 2017.
NiKo joined FaZe late February, they got top 2 in like 4-5 tournaments before going out in groups in Krakow.
Meanwhile, while SK wasn't doing too well in the winter, after CS Summit they went on a 5 or 6 tournament win streak.
Yes FaZe dominated between NY and Eleague Premier, but SK with boltz always won the finals against them.
SK won 9 tournaments in 2017 and FaZe 4.
