i think 240 hz is the best for runescape but i think 144 is good enough for csgo
if money is not a problem, then just buy 240 tf r u asking
i've never used 240hz. But I've heard that the jump isn't as noticeable as 60 to 144hz. I'm perfectly content with my 144hz freesync monitor. I'd honestly recommend a 144hz 1440p monitor before a 240hz. You're probably not gonna go pro, so I wouldn't bother with 240hz
If money's not an issue get 240
144hz good enough for csgo, the difference from 60 to 144 is big, not so big from 144 to 240.
240 a bit better, you can see enemies first when a smoke goes off for example.
if money isnt a prob even if you are never going pro and dont mind wasting so much at a monitor, just go for it lol
is the difference noticeable? barely, but yes
will it bring any advantage? barely, but yes
240hz should be the obvious choice here if money isn't the issue
240 Hz is better, that's just a fact. Since "money is not an issue", get 240 Hz. Simple.
Just remember that your system needs to be able to sustain 240+ FPS in CS at all times to get the benefits of 240 Hz.
edit: if the determining factor is performance in CS, then 240 Hz; otherwise, you might consider 144 Hz at a higher resultion for a better experience for everything else.
144hz in enough because you will be cheated down anyway
240hz is obv better, but there's no ips 240hz screens, u better get 144hz + ips +2k res, cuz all 240hz are trash except for playing, got 144hz + ips +2k res for 1k, those are very rare
60 -> 144 = huge upgrade
144 -> 240 = barely noticable
Thank you guys for your replies. Instead of buying one 240Hz monitor, I will buy two 144Hz monitors one for me and one for my brother :).
Money no issue so why you ask are you penny-pincher ? buy only the best
U hav money? Then get 240 lmao
for cs 144 hz enough, skilled players will be better than u even with 60hz so, i know a guy with 60 hz with 120 fps 3k elo being a beast, after he upgrade to 144 hz he was still a beast but he did not improve that much cuz he already was skilled, so 240 hz i would say if u going pro then it can help u otherwise wont make u beast player.
i fucking hate the unskilled people with 2300 elo lvl 10 bots who use 144-240hz and they cant kill me meanwhile i have 60hz.. fucking 144hz bots give me 144hz i will be esport player
i have 240hz and honestly its steal tearing, i can see it... i think i need to save some money to buy a better pc and a 360hz monitor, because 240hz isnt enough
The answer is quite obvious.
240hz will always be better than 144hz but the difference is barely noticeable
If you have a lot of money --> Buy a 240hz
Not that much money --> Buy a 144hz
if money isnt issue get the 360 hz ones coming out. because more hz > less hz
I played both..144 and 240hz. Go 240hz, you will feel the difference.
if you can buy a 240hz go for it
if you currently have 60hz, go for a 240hz.Upgrading from 144hz isnt that needed... But you would see the change..
go for higher resolution, not higher hz except if you're a loser who is playing cs go all day
idk I just bought my first 240hz and I will test it wednesday
buy 144 if good buy 240 if pro player otherwise 60hz best
my 242 hz monitor too good
Guy all who talk about 242 do not know what they are writing about, they write that the difference is not great from 144 to 240, but all the PRO players said that the difference is very large and that it is very difficult to switch back to 144. Don't listen to anyone, and buy 242, I have it. if necessary, I can show a screenshot of nvidia. Good luck
The different between the 2 is 3 millisecond snce 144Hz monitor bsaically creates displays frames every 7 ms and the 240Hz monitor every 4ms. It depends on your budget and pc performance because the actual in-game fps is affected by your monitor refresh rate so with 240 Hz you may have less fps.
Also don't listen to people who says that if you have 144Hz monitor then it doesnt matter if you have 144 fps or 400 fps in-game because they are wrong. Tho the displayed fps will be 144 (or 240) but theres a delay between in-game generated frames (thats what is fps) and the displayed frames (monitor refresh rate) and by increasing the in-game fps or the monitor refresh rate you will decrease the delay between thos 2 mentioned by milliseconds.
So if you have enough budget consider how much fps do you expect with those 2 monitor and if you want I can calculate you how much displayed and in-game fps delay you will have with the monitors so you can consider if its worth to buy.
if money is not an issue and you can afford to buy a higher refresh rate screen then whats the point of making the whole thread then?
just buy 240hz you can always manually change refresh rate
dont waste money. go buy kebab
If the cost is irrelevant to you then why would you not just get the better one?
If you play high level Cs, go for 240hz, if you are Legendary eagle or below 140hz do the job.
If price is t an issue, 144hz is a retarded option
very small difference. if you have a working 144hz monitor its not worth changing
240 is obviously better but if for the most part most people dont think the 144 - 240 jump is anywhere near the jump from 60 to 144
If you got the money, go for Samsung Odyssey G9 Monitor.
i think 240hz because its 96hz more than 144hz 8-)
240hz is better for porn fast scenes
i went from 144 to 240 difference wasnt that big but gaming is more enjoyable
240hz is definitely smoother and more responsive, the biggest one for me is that there is less perceivable input lag
between 60hz and 144 hz huge difference, 144 and 240 no so much, but if you’re targeting to pro 240 is your choice, however 240 hz monitors has only matrix type TN + film, it’s fast but worse than IPS , for example I’m not pro I need cool picture and colors so I have chosen IPS 144 hz it’s fast and looks cool
24hz the only refreshrate you can see so not worth
"P.S. money is not an issue for me."
You answered your own question here. Difference between 144hz and 240hz is not that big, however, if are able to make that upgrade you can squeeze all the little advantages the 240hz gives you.
Depends on your pc, if it is high end and reaches 240 fps or higher on average then buy the 240 one, if it medium/low end and doesnt reach 200 fps or higher on average buy the 144 hz
if you got money , 240 all the way , 240 is silky smooth
If you don't care about color accuracy or how the display really looks go for a 240hz since it will most likely be a TN panel. If you do care about visuals get a nice 144hz IPS with a low gtg.
30hz < 60hz -big difference
60hz < 144hz - medium difference
144hz < 240hz - small difference
If money isn't a problem buy bestest
It feels nice, but it won't get you any more kills than the 144.
THe human eyes only can see 60hz more than that is fake....
if you buy a 144hz is OK!
Then, if you play with a 240hz, you will never want a to use a 144hz again...
you need 240 hz for global elite.
why are you even asking if money is not a problem
144hz. 240hz is tryhard overkill. unless the only game u play and intend to play is csgo, then just go 240
If money is not a problem buy the best, dumb question, next.
It is not dumb question.. I can effort 240Hz yes sure, however, I do not want to spend my money for tiny difference between these. I needed to be sure about 240Hz..
Human eye can only see 10.1 Hz
A 144Hz by BenQ, put on display scaling, is absolutely enough for competitive gaming.
144 Hz, 240 is just for show (there's almost no difference)
if u have 144 it’s fine, but if you got the cash just go 240, it’s nice
it recently bought a 240hz monitor (aw2521hf) and i got to say that it is just a tiny difference but noticeable. i wouldnt pay almost 400€ again
I play on laptop 60hz and still rekting lem's
high refresh rate is a meme. it wont make you any better. it wont make you suddenly become global. it will make SOME games look better but you wont even know the difference until you actually try it out. stick with 60hz if you dont want to have to upgrade to a better gpu.
if money aint an issue just coke up bruh
If you only want to play a game like CSGO? Sure, 1080p + 240hz is probably your best bet.
If you want to play literally anything else? Get a 1440p/4K + 144hz, it's a better investment. I prefer my 144hz because of the better resolution, and I can move it to 4K for work stuff. It's hard to go back to 1080p in that respect.
ofc 240 hz, it's like you would ask 1.0 engine or 2.0 engine
240hz would be exclusively for csgo. To better counter how trash the screenshaking mechanics in the game is. Other games you probably won't even be able to achieve close to 240fps, and isn't necessity.
who gives a fuck you're a casual gamer and won't ever go pro
get a 144hz monitor or just a solid 60hz cos you won't ever need more lmfao
240 if u play only in full hd + (1440p).
i mean new games, not bullshit like cs
144 is best choice.
144 works for me like a charm, i didnt see a difference on 244
