Just stop killing yourself lol
U prefer to die or to live?
i think its not that hard the answer
Smoking is horrible i don't know why people do it
idk man, stop smoking might be a good idea
quitters never win and winners never quit
I mean yeah. I've smoked Marlboro Gold for a long time, but took month long breaks without trouble.
Also Marlboro Red is decent, but too strong and hacky imo
for me it wasn't hard, I just stopped buying it lol
i havent quit, but i can go without them if i have a vape with nicotine... try that, it's easier to lower the strength and eventually quit via vape
actually I don't get any pleasure/relaxation from smoking
I tried start smoking so many times but it's boring & I can't feel any effect
but with snus you don't need to get addicted to be satisfied
just pack a fat lip and send her buds
change the nicotine addiction for another addiction
i used to smoke 10-15 cigs a day for 2 years switched to snus for 3 years and now been 5 months clean
Yes, there is a way to do anything you set your mind to. It's all about will power. If you have strong will power you are a strong human, if a cigarette or weed controls your life you are a weak loser. Sorry but this is the raw answer you were looking for. Best of luck!
Just stop it, it's disgusting.
I have no clue, maybe snus, isn't that "lesser evil" ?
smoke that loud like me instead
Depending on your purpose for doing it. If it's just for lifestyle then find something else besides smoking. I personally do it because smoking can help myself become more relaxed and I cannot find anything else that can make me more relaxed than smoking.
My dad tried multiple times to quit "step by step" by decreasing number of cigs per day, but when he realized it's bullshit he just stopped buying them and now he is clean for 3 years
Why would u quit lmao what a noob
Smoking is nice
im quitting after this pack wish me luck
i was a hard smoker , like 1 pack per day . 3 months ago when i met my gf(non smoker) after lots of dates she told me sometimes is hard to kiss because of them smell(marlboro gold not a noname bad cigg) so i quitted , i only smoke when clubbing or when i am drinking coffee outisde
I smoke occasionally , idk why i dont get addicted to it
eat raisins with tea instead
i used to smoke vape but quitting it was easier than i thought, cant say the same for ciggs cause ive barely smoked em
used to smoke fairly heavily in uni, then put it down for some years only smoking intermittently, nowadays it's highly dependent of my mood, sometimes i can smoke half a pack daily, then not smoke at all for days...still, i'm a firm believer that if you do it in moderation (1-2 cigs a day) it will not hurt you that much
Nicotine patches and vapes have helped my friends.
I used to smoke something like 15 cigarettes/day until I quit last september. I tried different ways of quiting - nicotine gums and other substitues, reducing the amount of cigarettes smoked, but tbh it didn't work for me.
One day I just decided that I'm not going to smoke anymore and kept it this way. The first two days are quite easy, I'd say that days 3-7 are the worst. I just stayed home for two weeks (went to work of course) and didn't go out with my smoking friends to avoid being tempted. Also no alcohol in the beggining, it really goes well with cigarettes and even a single beer or a glass of wine can make you want to smoke. I lso avoided coffe, since I used to always smoke when drinking coffe.
vape works 100%, its heaps cheaper, you don't stink, and idk it's probably better for you.
i quit smokes instantly after i bought a vape, only thing is you've gotta quit vaping at some point down the road.
Just dont do it, its actually not as hard as its made out to be.
See it as a test of character and dont give in to temptation, its self discipline vs desire.
Smoking is such a scam, why is it allowed in the first place lmao
When you die you will quit anyway so yeah there is a way
Once you figured out how bad you really want to quit smoking, hopefully the balance is already in your favor . If not, then dont try to quit just yet.
Replace bad thing with good thing (sports or w/e). Keep track of your progress. Write down or use app for calculating saved money. Reward yourself for this. Feel better cuz of this, feel healthier cuz of this, then follow the continuing upwards spiral.
It can take many months to get rid of the habits like lighting one during a small break or when drinking coffee, waiting on something etc. Embrace that but you gotta be stronk.
For me, the feeling of wanting to smoke is still there after many years, but its like watching another woman: its ok to smell and watch but not to touch.
Good luck, its worth it.
sure, read "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking" book, it helped to me, I already dont smoke about 10 years
"Only" your mind is in your way , my father was a heavy smoker and stopped smoking from one day to another
imagine smoking in 2020
waste of money
waste of time
waste of health
smells like shit
15+ years smoker here, i just quit smoking december without any nicotine gums and stuff like that just one day i decided i'll quit and i did. Just don't think about it like it's something horrendus because it'll make it harder, stop smoking and be happy about that and with every day without a cigarette you will feel better and better.
yes, but you'll stop being cool
i used to smoke 1 pack a day, then i switched to Snus . i didn't touch a cigarette in over 3 years
There is a plethora of ways to stop smoking. It's a mental game, mostly... it's telling yourself you have the mental fortitude and state of mind to stop.
just decide to stop and thats all, the hardest part is not quitting smoking the cigs but missing out the social time with others
I vape and I'm trying to reduce nicotine amount, been vaping nicsalt 50/100mg now reduced to regular juice 6mg. the only reason im doing it cuz nicotine salts suppresses my appettite alot
develop a fear of chemical addiction
Im 17 and i havent smoked single cigarette, hopefully i can keep this up
I smoked from 17-20, between 2-4 boxes a week. There is an old joke that goes 'quitting smoking is easy, I've done it 20 times !' For me that was literally true, I must have quit 5 times over that 3 year period, but I enjoyed smoking in town and tbf thought i looked cool (don't judge lol). At the start of this year, I gave up cigarettes and alcohol just because I felt like it. Haven't even thought of drinking or smoking since.
actually its pretty easy when you are decided to quit and you made your mind you want to stop.
if you smoke weed you can start to stop smoking cigars at all and smoke a joint or two at night for a couple of weeks, it will help you handle your addiction until you physically dont need nicotine and after that you are on your way to succeed.
if you roll your own cigarettes, just buy really bad papers like turbo from penny, will make you hate smoking
Just stop 4Head
You could get addicted to SNUS instead if ya want to.
Well, personally, I smoked cigarettes only when I was partying and drinking alcohol. Then I bought IQOS (if you don't know what is that, look it up), best decision ever since I couldn't stop smoking while I was using alcohol on the nights out. Barely any smell and hands don't stink and the next day you couldn't even feel that you have smoked a whole pack of heets (iqos cigarettes). Soooooooo maybe you can give it a try.
Ayy bro i just quit 5 weeks ago and i feel u. One thing that i have done to help is replacing the cigis with veggie sticks. The action of eating them somewhat fulfills the action of having a cigarette in my hand, plus it's healthy. The mental side is all up to u man, just know that your not own your own and ur capable of doing this!
take nicotine gums, they helped me a lot to quit smoking
Hltv isn't the best place to ask. Just do a quick search.
imagine starting smoking knowing that you're going to get addicted and wont be able to quit, but you still start it anyway LMAO
I smoked 11 years. I switched it to snus which i did like 4 months before i quit it too. Was way easier. I tried it before with vaping and it just was not for me. Have been smoke-free for almost year now.
There has been no desire for smoking cigarettes after i quit. As matter of fact they more like disgust me. But for snus, there is times when i just want to say fuck it and buy some.
Try replacing it with something else, play cs for example
Why is quitting so hard?
We all know the health risks of smoking, but that doesn’t make it any easier to kick the habit. Whether you’re an occasional teen smoker or a lifetime pack-a-day smoker, quitting can be really tough.
Smoking tobacco is both a physical addiction and a psychological habit. The nicotine from cigarettes provides a temporary—and addictive—high. Eliminating that regular fix of nicotine causes your body to experience physical withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Because of nicotine’s “feel good” effect on the brain, you may turn to cigarettes as a quick and reliable way to boost your outlook, relieve stress, and unwind. Smoking can also be a way of coping with depression, anxiety, or even boredom. Quitting means finding different, healthier ways to cope with those feelings.
Smoking is also ingrained as a daily ritual. It may be an automatic response for you to smoke a cigarette with your morning coffee, while taking a break at work or school, or on your commute home at the end of a hectic day. Or maybe your friends, family, or colleagues smoke, and it’s become part of the way you relate with them.
To successfully stop smoking, you’ll need to address both the addiction and the habits and routines that go along with it. But it can be done. With the right support and quit plan, any smoker can kick the addiction—even if you’ve tried and failed multiple times before.
