update destroyed my fps
 |
United Kingdom galaxyv2
the new update the other day destroyed my fps before I was on constant fps and I just ran the benchmark map twice with an average of 130 and 90, bearing in mind my refresh rate is 165hz it is very noticeable does anyone have any fixes? I've tried verifying cache, reinstalling and updating gpu drivers he game is unplayable for me I'd appreciate any sort of fix

mens make sure you verify game files on steam and reinstall if you need to (csgo isnt big, just write down your settings and crosshair information if you are worried that might change). Usually these things are fixed, but if they don't, try contacting steam or asking for help on something like reddit.

heard players were struggling with having "-high" in their launch settings with the new update, it helped a few people when they removed it. maybe this guide could help : readtldr.gg/blog/ultimate-cs-go-fps-boos.. it's quite recent

The benchmark map isn't a good way to really gauge how the game is behaving. But with those averages you should be getting between 150-200 in MM.

You were referring to the benchmark, which is not representatitve of your real fps avg in a match or csdm server.
