You look at statistics very in an extremely narrow fashion, buddy. Others call you stupid. I am not going to do that.
Astralis changed their very core - Now, the hard part is to fathom more than just a HLTV ranking system in this very matter.
It was not supposed to be an epic demonstration on how 6-7-8-9-10 man roster works.
It was about giving 2 exhausted players the well-deserved time off. Why they havent performed yet? I would call it obvious.
The organization is a problem and the whole reason behind this whole more-than-5-man-roster idea, was because the squad was not allowed to take a break at the same time -
Kind of like elementary school. All the kids can not walk out at the same time during class to go to the bathroom. Wait until someone comes back again and the teacher will give you permission.
Shit like that works in a school. But a school aint real life.
Then there is the urgency of finding someone who possibly could fit in. They start out playing with snappi and jugi, but signs es3tag for later on. That gives a good indication of the situation, they were being put in. Both snappi and jugi are decent players but nowhere close Astralis level and will probably never be.
es3tag and bubzkji are the long term ideas. Both have the potential. Some said that about jugi, but it has been a very long time since he has shown that.
Lets wait and see, what the rest of 2020 holds in store for us. I believe it can go both ways, all depending on the relationships in between the new squad as well as with the organization.
Some already speculate that the old astralis core is trying to make a new team, apart from astralis. If that is case at hand, we will have no useful data to analyze, whether it makes sense or not to make a 5+ squad.
cant say yes or no yet.
