I have been thinking about moving out from my country (Finland) when the coronavirus crisis has ended. I am a young software engineer. I also have an msc in economics and business administration. I'm currently being taxed to death by socialist country. Where should I move? I've been thinking about the US and Singapore.

Brazil, you should go to the southern part that is colder, some parts even snow! I recomend the city of Florianópolis in the state of Santa Catarina, it's hella safe there.
2020-07-31 17:04
I am going to Brazil again in the future but I have never been in the South. What is the city you talked about like?
2020-08-01 15:14
Brazil DanieruBSB
The south has a lot of an european shape cuz lots of europeans came there in the 20th century. So you could feel a little bit in home there? PS: Is a more German, Italian, Dutck like style. but florianopolis is a big city though, so u can't see that, but the rest of the cities in the south are.

2020-07-31 17:22
Well, he is software eng so, the capital Warsaw is one of the most dynamic and fastest developing cities in europe, personally I like Wroclaw the most (southern poland not far from germany and prague). Avoid katowice I guess. Krakow is nice as well but too many tourists for me. Gdansk is also changing really fast lately.

Gdynia Szczecin Katowice Krakow Rest is irrelevant x)

If you are IT i reccomend Gdansk, you can earn money like 6-11k zlotys per month (if you foreigner they will probably pay you much better) which is pretty good compared to cost of living

Dude its good place for living a lot of stuff going on there (opener for example), good restaurants, good pubs and Gdansk is connected with the whole Threecity (Sopot,Gdynia) with SKM (kinda like metro but slower and not underground) and even further so you have a lot of to explore, bicycle-friendly town and a lot of opportunities to find woman too man if I would programmist/IT/engineer software i could deffo stay there

Europe the_NDR
You should be glad that you live in Finland, every Finn ive met has no real intent of leaving, dont want to lower their standard of living lol Odense in DK is good, close to home, good healthcare, society isnt on the verge of collapse, Tallinn for the same reasons. if you want to leave Europe I'd suggest Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal. im not gonna tell you not to move to Singapore or the US, but both arent really doing too well at the moment
2020-07-31 17:31
why ?
2020-07-31 17:23
Europe the_NDR
singapore is an oligarchy, that has been run by the same family its entire history + no chewing gum usa is generally a downgrade, lower qual medical care, lower standard of living, more intolerant society, more corrupt than all EU except bulgaria and hungary. The US economy is collapsing and there is an abundance of software engineers there already Canada is just USA done right.
2020-07-31 17:27
All salaries are higher in the US because they have very little PTO, lower quality healthcare etc. Tech salaries are even higher relative to other salaries than in Europe, but be aware that they aren't as high as they might seem. for instance, this ( says that the average american spends $10,000 a year on healthcare average PTO in finland is 30 days, in the US it is 10 days
2020-07-31 17:28
Europe the_NDR
with american insurance costs as well as car related payments (no real mass transit/walkable areas), it comes to pretty much the same as EU, with the added benefit of a shit healthcare system that treats you like a product instead of a person
2020-07-31 17:29
Depends on your field.
2020-08-01 18:11
It is different for software engineers, as a software engineer moving from Europe to America will see a bigger salary increase than most people. However, just looking at salaries gives you an incomplete picture of what the employment situation is. A software engineer is the absolute best case scenario, but even then it isn't a no brainer.
2020-08-01 21:56
'Murica 3rd world country. Most people I know with avg salaries there barely get by
2020-08-01 18:43
It's different for software engineers, but it's still a mistake to think that you can just move to the US, double your salary and keep the same working/living conditions.
2020-08-01 21:58
I mean, it was a stereotypical comment. I think some states there are pretty good. But then, if you have a degree from a college in software eng, you can get have a pretty good life in most of EU.

short research: "Foreign nationals wishing to live in Liechtenstein require a residence pemit. A total of 89 such residence permits are granted by the government each year to citizens of EEA states and Swiss nationals." very low odds to be able to move there

2020-08-01 17:27
I won't say anything. Also, how do you know that? This place makes me hella fucking depressed. Whenever you tune in the news you only see disgrace and more disgrace. Poverty, shootouts, news of people being killed, people talking about beheadings, drugs, paramilitary organizations spreading terror and extortion... I will need years of preparation to get out of here. My other option? Maybe asking for asylum in New Zealand so I can finally be free from this place.

Fuck. I'm out of options then.
2020-08-03 15:36
Where would you recommend? The only foreign language I can kinda speak is English. I can't wait years to move, things are only going to get worse.
2020-08-03 15:42
I can't really tell you for sure without knowing which country you're from, but chances are if there's a western country involved in whichever country you're from (like the US with Iran), it'll be much easier to claim asylum. Idk if claiming asylum itself is even worth it though because if they don't accept you, you'll be sent back to your country for them to do whatever they want. Then again I'm not much of an expert, so take this with a grain of salt

USA also is a high tax country and you will have difficulty to start a business, it is designed to give monopoly to big companies because they own the government I would recommend sg if you have a high end idea, but the competition is strong and the government will only let high quality because they can choose I worked in sg for a few years, it is run very well, but the weather is not good

2020-08-03 06:09
It is lower federal income tax then most of one of highest tax rate countries in the world, okay? it is still high tax country comparatively, especially for business owner or wealthy. also very high corporate tax, payroll tax, property tax, capital gains tax, and more state income tax and vat with that. And the tax is for global income source, and Americans have to pay tax to USA without even living in that shithole It is not like real low tax jurisdiction like malaysia, singapore, switzerland, uae, qatar, kuwait, monaco, andorra, hk, estonia, latvia, panama, vietnam, taiwan, georgia. Even russia and mainland china are taking less taxes than USA. In Europe Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus are preferred than USA.
2020-08-03 08:04
USA has far more opportunities then aglorified communist dictatorship like Belarus, and obviously the USA isn't a fucking tax haven, but it still has lower taxes then most western developed countries.
2020-08-03 08:47
USA is also essentially a communist dictatorship

2020-08-03 08:50
State controlled economy, or more specifically the Jews who control the state control the economy. They are borrowing money from Jews to give no bid contracts to the same Jews (often on military products to fight wars for Israel), then take taxes from people to pay interest on their debt to Jews. Their entire country is a scam system to enrich Jews. If you try to compete they will just sue you and you lose. And they have the state enforced monopoly for many things like healthcare and telecommunication company.
2020-08-03 08:56
source? cuz thats wild cheif, be great if you could back it up
2020-08-03 08:56
There are sources for many specific events, for a holistic understanding of geopolitics books are more appropriate.. I would recommend: The International Jew, Henry Ford The Strength of the Wolf, Douglas Valentine Big Israel, Grant Smith Classified Woman, Sibel Edmonds Prelude to Terror, Joseph Trento An important thing to understand: The Mafia (Jewish), intelligence agency, media, is highly interconnected interests

USA is great for people if money isn't a problem You can live in basically whatever climate you want, and every state has wildly different cultures/law codes I'd recommend Texas if you're not worried about absurdly hot summers, as it has a great job market atm and low taxes compared to other big states New England is otherwise great but also has relatively high taxes

maybe read a book about history of social science and social reforms, because the foundations of that made you be anything more than a son of a drunk peasant. Perhaps you owe your """socialist""" country a bit more than you think. Then again, you could also be a hopeless retard uncapable to widening your train of thoughs. In that case I recommend you go to USA.
2020-08-02 00:49
The US, Delaware: lots of tech/fintech companies, no VAT. Good weather, close to big cities, safe... People talking about healthcare are quite clueless. If you work in a good company they will provide a good health insurance with full coverage that you'll have to pay very little/year (based on your usage. My last insurance in the US covered any expenses that went above USD 400).
2020-08-02 00:49
NZ for sure, great experience every time I’ve visited. Taxes there are apparently great as well. Along with that, a lot of things like banks and drivers licenses are shared with Australia so travelling to Aus is a breeze if you ever wish to

Less income tax and cheap housing with large market for engineering? 100% the USA. Florida and Texas I believe have zero income tax, and housing is cheap AF. If Florida, some nice areas are saint Augustine, Boca Raton, Naples, and st. Petersburg. Texas not as sure, but I've heard it's really nice. Even other countries like the UK aren't as bad, and even Canada which still has socialized healthcare. Currently moving from USA back to Sweden or UK, so kind of the opposite lol
