Sunni muslim yes eghhh, usually on the bigger religious events so i guess every 1-2 months? i'm not the most observant i'll admit. occasionally i had a stint with agnosticism but i felt that the essence of a transcendent spirituality or a belief in one was far too present in my psyche for me to ignore, also i could just throw away a large part of my cultural and personal heritage.
2020-08-05 00:49
1. Catholic 2. Yes 3. Mostly only on special occasions/holidays, otherwise only unregularly sometimes, used to go weekly when i was younger 4. sometimes 5. no
2020-08-05 00:49
1. Catholicism 2. Yes. Maybe not the God of the Bible, but definately a creator. 3. Pretty rare, even tho I do find myself wanting to go to a church, just to sit there, get the feel of it. 4. No 5. The belief in God maybe not, but the awareness of the need for a God in society yes. Plus, I do wish I was more religious than what I am.

ikr, Agnosticism might be the right word, still not religious But in my case I have experienced a ghost - so I have played with the thought that our soul and energy can be stuck at earth when we have unfinished business.

will check yea im not into the religious part like satan, demons etc. More like Aristotle and Plato saying that we consist of a soul in a physical body. but this guy at #109 makes no sense, saying im sick because I think ghosts exists (sounds more realistic than that an God made the world tbh)
2020-08-07 12:44
My view on that is that soul is an energy and energy is neutral but can get negative and positive, evil or good.. demons, satan, angels etc. are only names to describe and communicate these practices in understandable way, sort of a unified language. So imo both of what you mentioned are part of that world which is very hard to comprehend therefore many people misunderstand that. Coz if you think about it what created the world.. an immense energy.. what is God.. an immense energy, the spirit of an unimaginable size. And yes the guy above had quite a close minded reaction. Everyone's perspective is based on their experience or lack of.

its absolutley more complex than what I think, so over time I might go more towards your view. But my experience of a ghost was really the trigger 7 years back + a handfull of other stories from family/friends. Some things is not possible to describe with science nor understand. are you considering yourself as a christian?
2020-08-07 13:40
Oh yeah undoubtedly it sure is more complex than we can ever imagine. Consider yourself lucky to experience such a thing it might get you on the right track to learn more about the whole picture. Just don't get drawn into witchcraft and what not. It's very harmful. Yes, I am, orthodox one to be specific.

do u believe in the "god" that would have created the universe and that's it ? or the "god" that would have created the universe and done way more
2020-08-05 01:44
I kinda explained my religious thoughts in another thread, might pick it up here. Spent 5 minutes looking for it, HLTV 404’ed the thread. Won’t got too deep, but I believe in the Big Crunch and eternity cycle, God being part of it and being part of the universe itself, acting more as an energetic field (like Karma or the Force in SW) than an all mighty being. Universe ends=God ends; Universe is recreated=God is recreated and forever like this.
2020-08-05 01:52
eternity cycle ? wtf i've never thought about it, even tho i'm super logical i have no fucking idea if it'd exist, i tend to say no because i don't believe in anything like this but we have no fucking clue so idk, anyway, if it exists we'll know in billions of billions of billions of billions of billions of billions of billions of billions of years (at least)
2020-08-05 01:52
Yeah, I wish I could show you the discussion I had with the other guy (oddly enough, he was french too). We both had some pretty interesting thoughts and we agreed in most parts. I find this eternal cycle of death and rebirth pretty interesting and for me it’s a good explanation for most of my religious and existencial questions.
2020-08-05 01:55
oh ok, like eternal cycle like this, we have no proof also but i thought u were saying that there's an eternal cycle about universe, like, it reboots everytime it ends x) i don't think it exists tbh but we can't rly know, we could know if we knew the exact amount of living entities on earth rn (bacterias included)
2020-08-05 01:57
ok, so you believe in a god that created the universe etc. basically we don't know if this is true, imo, there's no god, but like i said, we have no clue so idk, but we can explain facts that believers quote, like all the prayers stuff and shit don't work etc. and we have studies about this, so we have proofs that all the religions are shit and are lying LUL (i already knew that but we have actual proofs)
2020-08-05 01:54
Your point? I never stated that, but nice job, bud. I thought the part where I called God being part of the universe instead of the creator was much self explanatory. Name doesn’t checks.
2020-08-05 01:57
yeah but i still wanted to explain and why my name doesnt check out ?
2020-08-05 01:58
#36, saying all religions are shit (even if I mostly agree with this statement, it’s still not a friendly thing to say, specially in a post with a ton of believers like this one). I mean, I understand it wasn’t your intention, but I got bit mad after #41, my bad.
2020-08-05 02:01
it's just that we have proofs that it doesn't exist and they don't wanna admit it, like I said, we have no clue about the god that would have created the universe or is a part of the universe, but we have proofs that it's invented
2020-08-05 02:03
Ok.
2020-08-05 02:03

2020-08-05 01:50
Uhh it's complicated, let's put it this way... if we assume that there's God, I'm picking Jesus because it's retional (in my mind), but.. if two of us were to meet, I'd have quite a beef.... so let's just put it this way, there might be something or someone, but from my expirience he doesn't care. It's a bit hard to explain without going too deep into details which I don't want to, and sure religion might work for some people and I don't have any issues with that, but I'm not going to believe something blindy when everything else is pointing in a different direction.

We have lots of Greeks in my city, there's a Ukrainian woman at our church. I enjoy the architecture and the liturgy. Last time I went to a Greek orthodox service there were really great singers. The theology is also very solid and similar to Australian Lutheranism.

That's really nice to know. The singing is truly soul touching. If you enjoy I can recommend you Valaam monastery chants, they're mesmerising.

As I come from traditionally Islamic religious family when I was 12 started to go to the mosque with my friends Abdul and Khabdil but then after listening a lot if shit there that was in disagreement with words that the guy was saying just the day before I decided to read more of the religion and came to conclusion this was all a made up shit from hoomans just as any other thing so I totally stopped believeing in any kind of religion. Nowdays I just believe that should be something or someone with a really big power that have created things that are bigger than us (galaxy for example) but doesn't check on his/it work the whole time. My logic comes: Created earth with it's own createures on it, things gradually evolved and came to this point that some species of mens))) create threads of this type in a counter srajk web so as you can see that big power doen't care of us all the time, it checks sometimes but not the whole time just as hoomans make baby and take care till that baby grows up to be able to write on hltv forums or like Durex makes condoms and takes care until they sell them but then doesn't care that you can find plenty of used condoms thrown on the streets or under the bridges. So yeah I believe in a biggest power than us or everything on earth but I don't believe that "that power" checks on us the whole time so I pray in different time of the day or night at least twice in 24h. Sometimes my praiers work sometimes not but that's life mens))) not everything has to be perfect for you to be happy. Thanks!

1. Roman Catholic. 2. Yes. 3. At least once a week (I used to go to masses at saturdays, but thanks to COVID-19 I'm having to watch them live on Facebook/YouTube now). 4. I pray everyday. 5. Not really. I've always been a disgusting sinner in constant need for forgiveness and I know God will take His toll on me someday. Hopefully he will let us all into His celestial home at the end of time.
