Has anyone dealt with a narcissistic parent? What are some tips on communicating with them, except no communication and keeping distance?

Tell them you want to sex them(3 outcomes) 1)they sex you, good or bad depending on what kind of person you are 2)they disown you(you will likely never see them again) 3)they never talk to you

yes, it's the only option, if his parent's behavior is "different" enough to make him research about his behavior it's bcz something is way out of normal
2020-08-04 20:38 I'd warn you about calling any parent narcissistic. It's such a derogatory term that should be diagnosed by professionals and not thrown around by laymen.

Informative video, thanks!

Sometimes abusive/harsh behavior is just misguided parenting strategy. You know, being an adult doesn't automatically make one good at everything, like also raising children. Sure sucks if true him/her being narcissist.

there's only one option for this, and that is work as hard as you can to leave home, there's no way to deal with this kind of person, my dad is a fucking narcissistic person, there was no way to talking with him, he was always right and if you showed he was 100% wrong he'd pay the victim and do anything to put him as a flawless person, he wasn't a bad person, he love my family but his personality is shit, there's nothing to do about it, i left home when I was 19 some months after he completely destroyed my laptop because i spent some time gaming and "i was too old to waste my time with that" by the time he wanted me to get my driver's license but i wanted to focus on studying java, i was working with him at his small business and there were no reason to do this by that time. tl;dr - never try to argue, always agree and deal with it until you can move out, if you force your brain to understand him you'll end up depressed af like me and with lots of suicidal thoughts, you dad must love you, must be a nice dude and hard worker like mine, make sure not to confuse both things

When i moved out at 18 and went abroad i still got terrorized through facebook messages. At one point i blocked my mother and the reaction was priceless, she was so mad and did whatever she could for me to unblock her. Thanks for your response, i came back home for a year and now i understand i need to move out for good. Kind of sucks to realize that your own parent can be like that.
