cs and school
Kuwait roye
Why pros are so obsessed with beeing in school, i hear Bymas want want it and ropz was same. I mean i know basketball players who play nba say they want school its for commercial likely. But cs players must keep things real, best years of gaming are in school, and school is useless unless you have perfect grades. I know you might laugh but im talking about good players now not average who definately need school. I mean bymas 16 and he was in on of the best clans in the world, i would quit school in this case so f fast and play cs non stop seems like easy money. Especially in these days where people earn money who arent even pros they just make streams on twitch lol, free money play cs and chill

imagine quitting education for sitting in front of your pc for 12 hours a day, nerdnecks.

having a backup plan is always good, and its probably their parents that want them to finish school tbh as they could flop in cs completely and have to go back and finish school anyway
2020-08-09 12:23
school is overrated doug :D
2020-08-09 12:24
not really lol its like the most important thing for 99% of the world and you shouldnt take it for granted if you can get an education

School is good for people who don't have the skills to do anything else than average job for average pay
2020-08-09 13:12
is that bad

Nope but bymas can easily make 5x more than average salary in his country so he should focus 24/7 on cs in my opinion
2020-08-09 13:40
Maybe but what if cs ends in 2 years or he fails as a tier1 player He would regret not going to school

he would make way more than enough to finish his studies after that 2 years and cs wont end in 2 years

you need school for the majority of good jobs, a small amount of people might not but the vast majority of the populations earnings is reflected by the level of education they achieved, of course you could always just be a skilled footballer or be an outlier, but 99.99% of people get normal jobs that require education to have a chance of being even interviewed, you would struggle to even be able to get a terrible job stacking shelves in england if you dont have maths and english gcse's
2020-08-09 13:43
Yeah if you wanna flip burgers at mcdonalds or be a taxi driver for the rest of your life then I guess it is overrated

Becoming a pro also requires a fair amount of luck, staying in school is way safer as a plan B
2020-08-09 12:24
actually valid point, you need luck definately, bymas was lucky to get in faze, and you also need luck in game
2020-08-09 12:25
ppl with poor mindset always play safe. that's the reason why they are poor. failing is the part of life. you can learn more from failing then you can learn in school. school is so fucking trash. if you want to be stupid slave or you don't have an idea what you want to do in life school is good for you.
2020-08-09 14:03
ok but like isn't that why they're pursuing being a pro

Well it depends... EU kids want to stay in school because they want a plan B and understand the importance of education. USA kids want to stay in school because basically school is CS for them, so it's like practice.
2020-08-09 12:24
and 3rd worlders stay in school, because their fathers sold their wifes so the kids can get educated, its more like out of respect

Not safe for them that they will get a job in esport after their career.
2020-08-09 12:32
CS isn't going to last forever, neither will their skills at the game. It's smarter to get an education incase CS doesn't work out anymore at some point so it's easier to move on in the future. How stupid can u be to not get that...
2020-08-09 12:40
ye makes little sense one day you wake up with half skill and there is nothing you can do Scream is good example. Lets say you get half salary from then and you just happy that you can survive at current time not even talking life after cs
2020-08-09 12:54
its completely irrelevant which grades do you have lmao...the only important thing is to finish that school
2020-08-09 12:46

2020-08-09 13:33
ye imagine difference from someone with worst grades and someone with perfect grades, if you have worst grades why even bother
2020-08-09 13:42
Dude it doesnt matter. Noone ever will ask you which grades did you have. The only important thing is if you finished it or not...
2020-08-09 13:45
In Lithuania you need to finish 12 grades if you want to apply for state funded university, if you drop out in 10th grade(where bymas currently is) then it will become impossible to even get a place at a decent uni. Besides, in Lithuania it's impossible to come back to 10th grade as an adult, you either finish school now or never(there are no such things as pausing high school education for long periods of time). Besides, if bymas does decide to go back in getting education after csgo, it's possible to enroll into university as an adult with grades and exams from 12th grade, rather than a dropout from 10th grade with no exam results(which basically determine what you are allowed to study)

imagine not going to school only because you were on a good cs team for 2 months. afaik espiranto dropped out of school to play cs, but c0ntact aren't playing that well rn. bymas wouldnt want the same to happen. after all grinding cs 12hr per day gets boring.
2020-08-09 13:56
bymas is 16y. he has no idea what he wants for life. things can change so much in 5 years. there is no scene in lithuania so only viable option is NA or international teams and you must be insane player to get fulltime spot in faze/mouze. who knows when next opportunity will come.
2020-08-09 14:10
zywoo finished his basic school, there are so many different school systems in europe you dont know what is nessecary to go to or not, players are still going to live after age 30 if they are pros for that long, what happens if the game dies, injury or you get banned for random reason (like jamppi) its nice to have a safety. also he joined faze while attending school, if he keeps grinding and finish school he can still find a good team
