[18+] Situation in Belarus
 |
Ukraine Delirious206
I see that not so many people know what is actually happening now in Belarus, so I decided to describe all this in detail. Let's start with the elections, they are obviously rigged. In all polls, Tikhanovskaya won by an incredible lead. Once the meme "Sasha 3%" even appeared, when Tikhanovskaya won by an incredible lead in the poll, and the current President Lukashenko, who has been ruling the country for 26 YEARS, gained only 3% (link). The elections held in Belarus do not correspond to even the lowest ratings. There were no observers at the elections, and because of the queues and too short a time limit, not everyone had time to vote. There was also a very strange and suspicious video during the elections: youtube.com/watch?v=wwQ3HtzHoEE . The grandmother came out of the school in which the elections were held with very suspicious packages. A policeman was holding the stairs to her. I think you can guess what happened there. After the announcement of the official election results (Lukashenko 80%, Tikhanovskaya 9%), protests began. And the question follows, if the president won by such a huge lead like that - why do the people not celebrate, but get angry and protest? After the elections, the Internet was blocked for country so that the protesters could not communicate with each other and gather in groups. There is also tremendous violence at the protests. Flashbang grenades are thrown into the crowd (due to which one person has his feet blown off). Not even protesters are beaten, here are a couple of videos: youtube.com/watch?v=xPCs1uI5-Nk youtube.com/watch?v=7Dx88_Etmsw youtube.com/watch?v=-_aKLr6JJic The punishers had already managed to kill one person, the car just drove into the crowd, and then they just killed him, they didn't care: youtube.com/watch?v=nTdgSwiPg28 youtube.com/watch?v=qKfDGchfMoU At the moment, everything is going on, the punishers severely beat peaceful people. A lot of people were terribly injured because of the punishers. Fractures, open bleeding, and so on. One man's jaw was broken, for example. So the fact that the Internet was turned off is far from the worst thing that is happening in Belarus now

Orban rules Hungary by decree and without term limit, so unfortunately not the last.
2020-08-11 17:00
that is over since 18. June
2020-08-11 17:38
oh yes, my mistake - you now have a system where the government can issue decrees without the parliament challenging them, and the state of emergency can't be lifted by the parliament - M U C H B E T T E R
2020-08-18 22:33
Not last...
2020-08-11 17:07
Turkey? Russia? Poland? Hungary?
2020-08-11 17:40
turkey and russia arent generally considered european by most people even though the concept of europe should be done away with
2020-08-18 22:36
hungary and serbia are pretty well on their way to change that
2020-08-18 22:35
Thanks for the post man, good info
2020-08-11 13:42
the world is fucking crazy, uneccesary violence by the ones who should protect us is every second more and more plausible
2020-08-11 13:42
how do these leaders always have such loyal police/army forces, when the entire country is turning on the leader they should see he needs them and not the other way around and he is powerless without them, i suppose they need the job to be able to eat and fear it will be worse with another leader in power

Tbh there is almost no chance to overthrow. Belarus has a pretty solid and experienced government to deal with this Maidan. The only weak point is the economy of Belarus. If at least 50% of people go on strike then it could get nasty.
2020-08-11 13:58
would recommend reading The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude (public domain so you can find it easily online) if you're interested in this matter, that's actually a problematic that hasn't changed for centuries
2020-08-11 13:52
they're loyal until the vast majority is willing to tolerate the dictator, thus they feel the power themselves. and when passive loyalty of the majority evaporates they start sabotaging superiors officers' orders or directly side with the protestors.
2020-08-11 13:54
Probably good pay compared to the rest of population with some added benefits for loyalty... It's always either money or power for people to do it. :()
2020-08-11 15:27
money people unfortunately will generally favor money to their morals

Yes, probably if you have protests in the country you should forget about everything else. It is possible to abandon power stations, doctors may not work. This is how it works?

2020-08-11 14:20
Lukashenko and Putin do not know history or what. Demos have always been stronger than dictator.
2020-08-11 14:29
Well... Literally all hegemonies were led by dictators. The thing is, the dictator must be capable. A dictatorship with good ruler is better than democracy with good ruler, but when it comes to bad rulers, then democracy is much, much better at handling it.

Dont do that belarus, if you overthrow Lukashenko you will get same destiny as Serbia, you will be puppets of west with alot more shitier economy then before
2020-08-11 17:07
"you will be puppets of west" Who says they will?
2020-08-11 17:17
Thx for the info. I hope the situation improves for your country.
2020-08-11 17:19
Polls don't mean anything. In 2016 most (if not all) polls were saying that Hillary is surely gonna win. Didn't happen. Also it's pretty funny when people think that election can be rigged by only one certain side, lul.
2020-08-11 17:26
Quick reminder: Hillary actually won the elections by common people. By a really slight margin. But US has a unique voting system, so Trump won. I agree with your statement tho
2020-08-11 17:32
actually that was just the media bias lots of polls had trump way higher then he was generally portrayed But when polls have such a massive bias towards one side... almost universally... it's hard not think it was rigged

i dont understand how that women named Tikhanovskaya won ? i mean nobody know who she is, and even if Lukasenko is evil i think old people still vote for him so i think they maybe rigged it but does it matter? 80% or 70% ? but now i understand that people are angry and Lukasenko showing dark site of him he is like Erdogan which is scarry he also want start WW3 it looks like.
