The country is corrupt, businesses aren't. Like, at all. There is no such thing here, I can guarantee that.
Companies hire whoever is the best candidate and someone from a different country on the west (even Argentina) will automatically be placed on top of any list. Not because we have some kind of a super effective corruption police, but because it’s very hard for medium and small businesses to make profits. They have to be as effective as possible in all regards to have the chance to stay afloat for a while longer.
“And though I said almost the same about girls, I'm still doubt he will have a good chance with them in Ukraine, 'cause the country itself is conservative.”, - nope. Wrong. Young people are VERY liberal. Only 30+ men and confused nationalists are conservative these days. He’ll have a really good chance to find a girl that speaks good English and is open to a relationship with a foreigner she likes. Especially in the center of Kyiv or Lviv, nice and smart girls are plenteous there.
“Yeah, I see like they usually do it, but guy I talked with wasn't the one who was acting like they were living in a war, as he told me 'Let Russia get that Crimea, no one cares about this shithole', I'm sure he's different on it.”, - this actually proves my point lmao. 99% of people that exaggerate like this have the same opinion on all the conflicts surrounding Ukraine - 0 fucks given. It’s not about “living in a war” etc, it’s about overall making it sound way worse than it really is. You think of Ukraine like it’s an african country or some shit. That’s enough for me to know all this guy did was shit talk.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like it here at all, but we gotta be realistic, right?
